Brick Los Angeles

So glad I was able to drop in for the Mixed CF class while I was visiting LA. The coach was excellent and the crew as well. Everyone was super nice. I was amazed by their facilities. WOW! My standards for a CF gym are higher than ever. Next time I’m in town, I’ll come here for sure.

I love BRICK! I take the B/​X classes usually with Bruce and seriously you leave drenched in sweat and my face is red as if I’d just left from a killer spin or hot yoga class. It really is a great workout. Very challenging. The workouts are different day to day. Cardio and strength training. They work all muscle groups. I like that the class has a mix of males and females and they have different weights available for both the guys and girls. I kinda feel like you have to be in somewhat shape. I’m in pretty good shape but when I take a couple weeks off and come back I feel like I’m going to die in class. The instructors go around and fix your form and motivate you to push further. I’ve done some other CrossFit studios on ClassPass (StrengthRX, Pink Iron, Cross Train LA, Training Mate) and Brick is the best of them. I show up a little terrified of how hard the class will be and I come out roaring like a lion thinking how awesome it was that I just did that.

Trainer ALEX motivates you and plays awesome music. B|X is a great workout and you will get in a great sweat. I highly encourage you to go and the teamwork in the room rocks and its clean.

This place is my church. Their BX classes are the best. You won’t get a better workout anywhere else in West Hollywood. Totally worth the price!

Looking for an amazing high intensity interval training class look… no further. Bricks has an awesome location with parking (a big plus in Los Angeles)!! The studio has a large crossfit space, a strength training room, lots of storage!!! I’ve take. Several classes and each trainer is different, but they all bring great energy to the class and are all very knowledgeable!

Friendly staff and trainers! I did a week crossfit «Drop-​In» pass for only $ 80. so worth it!
This place is no joke… Trainers are knowledgable and pay attention to everyone during the classes.
The gym itself is very clean and well maintained. They have lots of other choices if cross-​fit isn’t your thing. Highly recommend this place!

Great workout here. But one complain is that they have you put away all the equipments after class. No gym ever do that. I don’t mind helping a little out here and there but it should their staff. We don’t work there. We pay them to work out. Just a thought.

The reason why I’m giving this 5 stars is because this is a pretty dang spacious crossfit area. Like, a LOT of space – at least more than I’ve seen before so I wanna say that has to count for something.
I attend the cardio focused classes so it’s not the actual crossfit class if that makes sense.
Instructor is super nice, and don’t feel weird if you don’t really know how to do everything because they give you a run down example of the agenda and will help you out in your form!
Good workout. I’m a happy tired camper, and lots of various machines/​equipment to use.
I’m no exercise star or athlete or anything like that. Seriously. So if you do feel anxious/​intimidated – don’t! I am the biggest weenie and I left feeling really great/​comfortable.

Love this place! Found it on Classpass, and the BX class is killer!
I am not a «crossfitter» meaning I’m pretty scared to lift big weights, so the BX class is perfect for me. It consists of a warm up, usually a jog, and then you do circuit HIIT training for the rest of the class. OMG idk how they do it, but I feel like I just moved a mountain or something when I am done with classes here! The employees and teachers are all really nice and welcoming, as are the other students when you go the first time. You will probably burn around 750 calories, maybe more in one class!

I would definitely recommend going to Brick! Its an awesome place.

Now onto the details…
I have done just about every style of workout you can do in Los Angeles from Spinning to Bootcamp to Yoga and back again, but Crossfit at «The Brick» is by far the best workout in the city. Hands down.
I’ll just start by saying for the first time in a long time I feel strong actually, not just strong, REALLY strong. After losing step with my regular workout routine for a few months and putting on some weight I decided enough and started training at Brick. I’m not going to lie, it isn’t easy at first and there’s always a challenge even after you’ve trained for a while but it’s a fantastic feeling to complete a workout and beat your previous time. It’s tough and that’s the best part because while your body is getting in shape the coaches also train your mind and teach you how to properly and effectively do the exercises.
I’ve been an athlete all of my life but like many people after high school my serious training ended there. Training at Brick pulls something forgotten back from those days. It makes you better and makes you feel like an athlete. Even if you don’t have aspirations to play any kind of sport, you’re an athlete in life. That is the biggest compliment I can pay the coaches. I’ve also lost close to 20lbs in the 3 months I’ve been training and I’m definitely in the best shape of my life.
The muay thai/​crossfit regiment is my personal favorite and the two types of training really compliment each other.
The trainers are amazing and knowledgeable about everything from nutrition and proper movements on lifts. They know what they’re talking about and they motivate because they love it, and it shows.
If you’re looking to make a change in your fitness regiment and to a greater extent your life I HIGHLY recommend checking out Brick. Your mind and body will be happy that you did.

The staff at Brick is committed to making every member the most healthy they’ve ever been. Top-​tier coaching and nutrition combined with a ton of different classes makes this gym unique. There is a great community from all walks of life and fitness levels. I encourage anyone interested in learning more about how to be more fit and healthy to give Brick a try. It’s worth it!

I love this place! Great workouts, great community, great people. The workouts are tough, and BX is a great class too. Brick is my favorite place to workout!

While visiting L.A. I was fortunate to book a private session with Caleb Ellis. My WOD was intense but the most helpful part was his instruction of proper form and guidance to maintain it throughout my workout. It is a great Crossfit gym with extremely professional coaches!

Here’s what a standard Unilocal business review should include:
— An overview of the location — centrally located in West Hollywood and nestled close to Whole Foods for easy access to pre-​workout snacks and post-​workout smoothies. Four rooms host Crossfit, cross-​training, weightlifting and kick boxing classes with new equipment

Home to the fittest people I know as well as my second family. This is where you get real work done the good old fashioned way, blood, sweat, and tears. And you do it among the most supportive people you can find this side of the 101.

I joined the Brick Family in January of 2013. And that’s exactly what it is, a big ‘Ol west coast family which has now grown across the US and even the globe. I’ve met some of the most amazing people here that have now become my best friends. The community alone is the one reason why I’ve stuck it out in LaLa land.
The training and coaches aren’t so bad either. But really, the knowledge these people have as individuals, never mind as a whole, is like nothing I’ve experienced at any other gym, CrossFit facility, or workout studio I’ve been to. Bottom line, They know their shit and then some. (Can I say that?)
The facility itself is huge. Four separate rooms, all with top of the line equipment. Including sound systems! Two sets of bathrooms for both guys and gals, showers, and even a new filtered water bubbla (As we say in Boston).
Just come check it out! I was intimidated walking in my first day, but within minutes knew this was the right place. I promise you’ll have the same feeling!

Brick has grown a lot in the last 4.5 years. I started there pretty early on and it was a great way to get in shape. Now that I have morphed into a workout machine, I love Brick because I can take advantage of so many different classes. I take Performance class, which is catered to a more advanced athlete. I use the Olympic lifting platforms and equipment. When I want to sweat, I can take BX or CrossFit. On the weekends, I come in for yoga and Crossflow. I have never seen a gym with so many classes and resources.
The coaches remain the best and when they are not coaching you can see them competing at the highest levels.

LOVE Brick Crossit! BEST crossfit gym! When I was looking around for a CrossFit gym to join in LA, Brick’s schedule and class variety is what sold me. Most gyms have a couple classes in the morning and a couple in the evenings, Brick has classes ALL day/​evening to accommodate all schedules and they even have an open gym time. I have been here for almost 2 years and the coaches and staff are top notch! The best part is the community the gym creates… you get to workout with friends… love it! The variety of classes is great: Olympic lifting, crossfit, mobility, yoga, bx (bootcamp style), kickboxing, and a running endurance class. You normally don’t have access to all these classes at other gyms so you’re getting your money’s worth or sure! Not only will you get in awesome shape, you will get stronger, more confident, AND train/​feel like an athlete. Best fitness decision I’ve made!

I am updating my original review.
I have been at Brick for almost 4 years and I am continually impressed by the level and care of the coaching staff.
I firmly believe the coaching is superior to any other box in the country, which may explain why we had two teams go to Regionals last year and why so many visitors from out of town stop by to workout at Brick.
Since my first review, the facility has doubled in size and made room for twice as many classes: B/​X, XFit, Kickboxing, Yoga, XFlow and Barbell Club.
We do a lot of cool social events together, which helps foster and grow the sense of community.
I love it here. I am the strongest and fittest I have ever been in my life.
I am incredibly grateful for all they have done for me.

These past two years at Brick have been tough but so worthwhile. Great facility with a very knowledgeable team of coaches and I’ve made some great friends and feel very welcomed into this growing Crossfit community. Thank you J.P. and to your amazing staff!

I was really welcomed at Brick. All the front desk girls were always helpful and really nice. The teachers always encouraging and correcting errors.

Get there early for free parking inside the structure otherwise you’ll have to park on the street which is free after 8. And heads up the lots behind Santa Monica are $ 6+
I go to Brick not for Crossfit but for their blended crossfit/​circuit training classes called B|X. They are just as challenging but don’t include Olympic lifting which is right up my alley. Be ready to run outside and this gym is open so you will encounter other classes going on at the same time. Overall great energy.
Thanks class pass! Wish I could come here more than 3x a month!
