Dan Deutsch Optical Outlook

Many thanks to Eric Thompson from Dan Deutsch Optical for replacing the nose guard on my favorites pair of sunglasses. Nice to see kindness abs professionalism is alive and well! Great store with awesome merchandise.

This shop was absolutely amazing!!! My boyfriend and I stumbled upon it while searching for some new eyeglasses! I had been looking for over two years and finally found the perfect pair here! ANNA was absolutely wonderful! She knew right away what would look great on my face shape and did not push anything on me. She made me feel very comfortable, while showing me many options. Although the very first pair she chose for me I bought! She has been in the business for over 40 years and it shows! You do get what you pay for when it comes to a new pair of opticals and this shop has very quality and stylish glasses!

Originally came in for a repair to my Mykita frames. Eric helped out immediately. Within minutes I had my original frames on, and a few mins later, I was trying on new frames. Eric knew exactly my taste and shared his feedback accordingly. I look forward to coming back soon for those new shades!

This is my third time to get optical and sunglass frames from Dan Deutsch, so I’m ostensibly a fan. My consultant, Eric Thompson, was pure genius as he once again guided me to the right frame to enhance my face (I’ll admit it, I need help LOL), and to provide me with the best look.
The selection of frames is the best to be found anywhere, and include only the top names in the business. Yesterday I picked up my latest choices. For optical, I chose «Caine» from Barton Perreira, and from SALT I chose «Steve.» I could not be happier with my decision… unless it was to have included more frames!
I also had the privilege of meeting Dan Deutsch who happened to be in the store. As I would have expected, he was very gracious. Unfortunately, he showed me a new Matsuda sunglass frame that was outrageously beautiful, so I have put on my list for next time.

Fantastic glasses. The term «you get what you paid for» is synonymous with this fine establishment, they sell some very high end chrome hearts sun glasses and frames that is worth every penny. Ask for Eric, he was very helpful.

This shop is so high end, it’s almost intimidating! But the employees are so friendly and helpful that they make you feel right at home and at ease. Anna could not be any more pleasant or accommodating. Great selection, too!

It all depends what kind of service you like…
I like the type of service that’s informed,
Unpretentious and that gives you space!
Let me try my future glasses alone or with my girlfriend IF I want your help and opinion I’ll be sure to let you know.
As soon as you walk in that store that’s usually empty the sales people are right ON you… I don’t like that.
Every single pair of glasses is under a locked window? So you have to «ask» every time to try a pair… And they will just stare at you while you try them on.
My advice is skip that place unless you like to be treated like a baby or a thieve who can’t handle being by himself more than 5 second.
One last thing for Dan Deutsh the photos of celebrities makes your business look sketchy ! Everyone who’s been in LA more than a week knows that the whole «I have celebrities coming to my place» is so fake and cheesy” who cares if some celeb bought or got a free pair of glasses at your spot.
Put photos of real people, unlock you glass box and get a better, friendlier staff !

I can honestly say they are hands down the best sunglass shopping experience I’ve ever had… I’m sooo picky AND super indecisive when it comes to picking out the right style for my face and purchasing sunglasses. I often times pick out the wrong style resulting multiple trips back to get it right. =\ not here though! Dan the owner is AMAZING at what he does! He took time to understand my style and really knows his stuff when it comes to what compliments peoples different facial structures! Me and my friend went and he had us both down in minutes. He picked out a few different styles that are completely out of my comfort zone that were totally amazing!!! =) so instead of getting the same old-​style I’m always used to because it safe and I don’t know what else to do… I got a new pair that is super refreshing in style and I’m now actually excited about expanding my sunglass collection! With such an extensive collection to choose from needless to say… I won’t b shopping department stores or generic sunglass stands ever again! Lol

I have a really bad habit buying sunglasses and have about 40 pair, 10 or more that are Chrome Hearts.
In 3 words, FAN-​TAS-​TIC!
If you buy Chrome Hearts this is the place to go. Even Chrome Hearts will tell you that. I’ve been able to get custom colored lenses to give glasses my own personal touch. I worked with Eric Thompson a couple of times and he is patient, knows how to pick frames for your face, and helped me tremendously with a service issue I had on one of my favorite frames. THANK YOU ERIC!
I can’t say enough good things about them, but I would also add they have a great selection other brands that I have never even seen before.

I’ve always had good luck finding frames and great service here so I tend to only buy my eyeglasses and sunglasses at Deutsch’s Sunset location. However, I will probably not be back after this most recent experience. One of the staff convinced me that a $ 700 pair of frames [w lenses] fit my face perfectly. This was not the case as my family friends and co workers told me repeatedly upon seeing them. And now I am stuck with a brand new pair of glasses I do not wear. Maybe this girl was new but, as a longtime repeat customer, I didn’t need to be conned into buying frames.

Terrific selection, including hard-​to-​find designers Anne et Valentin. Great service from Anna and Eric. They ordered my frames from France, and the frames arrived sooner than promised. Then Anna was happy to adjust glasses I already had on, even tho they came from elsewhere.

I never had to wear glasses, but that changed a few years ago; I purchased my first pair here and I’m so glad I did. The staff was very friendly and extremely knowledgable on all the styles. They knew so much about each product. For having never ordered a pair of glasses I was able to pick out a style and have them ordered within minutes.
I have had problems with my glasses such as losing them. I went in and they just looked up my file and reordered them, took me literally 3 minutes. I’ve also had to get some adjustments and they have always been able to help me in a friendly and quick manner.
Their selections are so vast and overwhelming. Every time I go in there I always see some new frames that I want. I’ve noticed this place carries a lot of models of shades from other designers first before some other places. This place is definitely on top when it comes to trends in fashion.
I definitely recommend this place wether you’re looking for sunglasses or prescription glasses. You will not be disappointed!

The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and, again, the unique selection of frames is unbelievable. Check it out. I’m so glad I finally did.
However, don’t expect to get the high quality and precision workmanship at a paupers price. Remember, you get what you pay for and will do just that with Dan Deutsch Optical.
Although I went to the Sunset location I recently discovered that he has locations throughout the LA area.

Love this place! Definitely my favorite place to buy sunglasses. Especially since it’s right down the street… dangerous! They have everything from Chanel to Elizabeth and James. The last time I was there Eric, the manager was so helpful and brought out so many pairs of sunglasses for me to try on… ones that I would not normally pick for myself but looked amazing on. Ended up with a cute pair of round Ray Bans. The manager fitted them to my face, which is reason enough to go to a place like this. Can’t wait to go back!
