Phil Selway is a professional and a gentlemen. I always enjoy my buying and selling with him. This gallery has great art and knowledge. First class operation!

When I decided to begin my art collection, I did my due diligence online and casually interviewed collectors. A friend with discerning taste and high-expectations for customer service recommended Hamilton-Selway. I do not enjoy shopping, so I communicated with Ron and Mike online. I provided a general description of what I wanted and Mike edited a selection. I let them know which ones piqued my interest, set up an appointment and 48 hours later, I walked out with two beautiful pieces(within my stated budget). Even though I was a first-time buyer, I had been to countless galleries. Hamilton-Selway stands out as exceptionally friendly people, a casual atmosphere and no pressure applied. My dog comes everywhere with me. Not only did they welcome him, but they brought out a bowl of water and fawned all over the little guy. Thank you, Hamilton-Selway Gallery! I look forward to building a relationship.

*** nice, a gallery where you could actually buy something. *** after leaving MOCA Lite, i cruised across the street to this gallery. no, not Al Pacino«cruising» … just a gallery walk to see wzup here. and i’m glad that i did. they offer a variety of silkscreens and prints. Basquiat, Haring, Warhol, Lichtenstein … all prominently displayed. they are here to sell, not to show. these prints to move. buy/sell! it’s not a very upscale gallery but i like its laissez-faire attitude. (please forgive me, i had French food for brunch today, lol.) *** +1 star for the cute lil pomie who greeted me at the door. ***

I came to this gallery last night to kick off the No H8 Campaign’s City to City Tour. The gallery is small and somewhat hidden, but inside it’s very clean and modern. All the artwork there is very phallic, but hey, what do you expect from a gallery on Melrose/San Vicente. They also have a few warhol’s and lichtensteins on display. For the event last night they had an open bar(YAY) and the whole NO h8 following are the nicest people to mingle with. Events like this make me feel proud to fight the repeal of Prop 8.
