Jenwa has been doing my color for years. She does a better job than all the hyped up colorists. She also does INCREDIBLE hot heads extensions. Everyone thinks my hair is real and I love them. She is a true artist and master of hair.

Jenwa’s hair is the best! First class all the way! Very open to styles and also makes great suggestions if you need help with your cut. Jen also has a great selection of music playing while she cuts your hair.
Located inside Salon Republic. There is free 90 min parking located in the structure below. Just make sure to validate your parking at the front desk. She always has great art on the walls. A must see!

Jenwa… She deserves a 5 star, although I have not had her do my hair personally, I have seen a lot of great work come from her, including my aunt that went to her for many years…
Jenwa is really up on her trends and I have seen her progress with many styles over the past years… I have sent her friends of mine in the past and never has there been a disappointment… They were always happy…
The only reason why I have not tried her is because I am not in the area of West Hollywood and due to my schedule its really hard for me to make time to get there I am barely in Hollywood period… But if you would like a great cut, or color or hair period I would recommend her to anyone!!!

Jenwa cut my hair a couple weeks ago and I couldn’t have been happier about the result. She listened to me when I told her about the length I wanted and didn’t chop too much off, like some people have in the past. She did a great job on my bangs too.
I even recommended her to my boyfriend, who got a great haircut here as well. We’ll definitely be back!

Best Unilocal Find Ever!
What I asked for would seem simple (a trim that cleaned up the ends, gave my straight hair some shape, and helped blend-​in the choppy/​uneven layers my last trip to my Boston salon left me with) but so many stylists have messed up that exact same request. Not Jen, who absolutely nailed the look I was going for!
She’s a great communicator who helped me describe exactly what I was looking for by asking the right questions. Plus, unlike every other stylist I’ve been too, she kept checking in on what I wanted throughout the whole haircut. NOT the typical «one quick conversation at the start, then just hope everything turns out ok» method of hairdressing.
My hair came out looking *exactly* like I’d asked for, and the price was SO reasonable– less than I’d ever paid on Newbury Street, and for a much, much better result. Plus she gave me a killer blow-​out to boot :)

Scared to get your haircut based on Unilocal ratings? Don’t be when it comes to Jennifer! Being new to the area I decided to give her a shot, could be the best cut I’ve ever had! And I worked at a high-​end hair salon as a receptionist for years so my standards are quite high. Jen is very thorough and like everyone else has commented, she really listens and strategizes what will work best for your hair. I’ve been getting tons of compliments from besties and strangers alike. And as a bonus, Jen is also super sweet and fun to chat with. No one else will be cutting my hair as long as Jenwa’s is around :)

Omg I love Jenwa! Started going to her about 6 – 8 months ago after finding out she did my girlfriend’s hair. The last place I went I liked the guy, but he just kept nodding that he was listening to what I wanted and then proceeded to do something different…
Anyway– Jenwa is great! She listens to what I’m saying and then gives feedback based on whether or not what I want is a good idea, and then does an amazing job with color — highlights & lowlights and my cut. Seriously, every time I leave LOVING my hair. So happy.

Jen does wonders for my hair. My first cut was great, and my second visit was even better because I got a cut and color! I’ve got long, super thick, and badly colored hair and Jen completely worked her magic and now I’ve got an easy to manage, stylish, and healthy shiny hair! I couldn’t believe it because I didn’t think my hair color could be fixed because not too long ago I colored my hair myself a really dark, ugly and uneven. I’m so glad I was referred to her by my sis, who also has beautiful hair because of Jen. I also bought Rusk shampoo and conditioner and I love it! I definitely recommend her because not only is she a great with cut and color, she’s professional, down to earth, and flexible with her appointments.

At first I was scarred of going… I am very picky where I go to. So I have called four salons and they were all booked. I told myself that I am going to call one more salon and it they were booked then I won’t go anymore. Luckily Jen answered her phone and she was very nice about squeezing me into her busy schedule. I like her little studio, very chill. she did a really good job cutting my hair!!! i loved it! thank you!

I wrote one of the first reviews for Jen and for some reason it got filtered. Anyway, I’ve been going to her for years, and she’s always been great. Not only is she on time and easy to get an appointment with, but she’s very attentive and takes her time to make sure I get the haircut I want. Which is not easy, considering that many people I’ve been to in the past are not good at cutting Asian hair.
Furthermore, Jen is very cool and is someone I enjoy talking with while getting my hair cut.

I’ve been getting my hair cut from Jenwa for the past 4 years and I love her to bits! not only is she up to date on current trends she is a really skilled hair stylist. I love having short hair but I’m not one for traditional hair bobs… I like a cool cut that isn’t to far out there but still different than the girl next to me and Jenwa seems to get it right every time!
I love the way Jenwa colors my hair, I am a huge fan of RUSK Deep Shine Colors and since Jenwa only carries RUSK Products I always know my color will last a few weeks longer than the standard Red…
Lastly, this is a big deal for me… I have a 2 year old daughter that I can bring to Jenwa’s because her personal studio allows me to have my eyes on my daughter at all times (&she can’t escape)! Plus, kids get free hair cuts when mom buys a cut or a color :) this is great for my family since every time I try to cut my daughters bangs she looks like she did it herself! lol Jenn can get it done much quicker and more efficiently than me or her dad!
I would recommend Jenwa’s Hair Studio to anyone who is looking for a stylist because Jenwa will help you express who your are on the inside but on the outside! She is really laid back and super funny :) I always have a laugh when visiting her studio :) Plus she knows good Techno!

Jen is an expert with color. She takes her time and it is worth every cent. I feel like a supermodel when I walk out. My hair is light, bouncy and full of shine. If there’s something I don’t like, she knows how to fix the issue. I like that she uses Rusk products, which have a natural line called sensories wellness.
More than anything, I’ve found that she is very flexible on appointment times. If I call last minute, she’ll do what she can to fit me in.

Jen has been cutting my hair for years. She is friendly, listens to what you want, and is very meticulous with her scissors. She truly cares about your hair and she wants you to look fabulous.
Her cozy studio is as stylish as her cuts. The hip, musical beats combined with Jen’s treatment make you feel as if you’ve stepped into a super-​special VIP backroom of a chic, intimate club. When she has worked her magic, you will have entered the club of cool hair.

Where has Jennifer been all my life?! Of all the hair places I have been to (and that’s a lot) no one has been able to do what I ask, until now. From the style to the length, she cut it exactly like I wanted.
We all know that the true test of a hair cut comes in the couple days following the actual cut (when we have to style it ourselves). Having said that, I can’t remember the last time I was still fully satisfied with my hairstyle 2 – 3 days after the cut. Cannot wait until my hair grows out so I can get it cut again!
Her studio is nestled in the Lions Salon which was a lot easier to find than I thought. Her prices are very reasonable and appointments are easy since she’s the one who runs the show. Six 5-​star reviews (well seven now) you really can’t go wrong.

Jen is the ONLY person i know who can cut my head of hair. I left Rudy’s as soon as she did! Jen’s fabulous, professional, and knows hair fo realz.

Being a DJ in Hollywood, it’s important to have a very solid head of hair. A friend of mine — also a musician — recommended I go to Jenwa for a cut. I’d been going to the same person for years, so i was hesitant to change — but it was nice to find a place closer to home and less «busy salon feeling». I really liked the personal atmosphere, the music she played was great — and oh yeah… SHE CUTS GREAT HAIR. Need i say more?
