Great ambiance, I’d definitely come here for a first date or drinks with friends. As far as a beverage, I would suggest the«gangster». All in all, it was a great experience!

Indiscreet from Santa Monica Blvd, but very animated and trendy on the inside(on Thursday nights and probably on weekends too). It felt like ¾ of patrons were in the«industry,» so it was good for people watching. We had a lovely time here. The waiter was nice and very helpful, and pointed out that all of the items are share-able, even the entrees. The meat on the pork ribs came right off the bone, so you don’t have to use your hands. The four ribs that come in the order were really good and had a nice kick, thanks to the gochujang spice. The blistered tomatoes are their version of Bruschetta, with cooked-mini-whole cherry tomatoes on two slices of toasted bread(maybe with burrata too). This was new to their menu(and the Unilocal menu) and the sweet taste was very enjoyable. The«classic pizza» was pretty large in size and tasted really good! Tons of pepperoni, thin slices of parmesan(which melted perfectly), and small slices of jalapeño(which gave it a little kick). Quiet and small front-inside area, boisterous(loud) bar and tables in the spacious back-inside area, and pretty large outside area with plenty of tables and matching heating lamps.

I really liked the vibe at this place. Very cool. We sat outside and it was beautiful. Server was great, and made fabulous recommendations. We had the lollipop sprouts, octopus, green beans and the most amazing gnocchi. Everything was wonderful. For dessert we did the apple crisp and butterscotch pudding with French press coffee. It was delicious. My only complaint is the bussing staff. I don’t like it when the guys clearing the table reach their arm pit across my face to grab things or wipe the table. Yuck. They just need to be trained but other than that I was very happy and look forward to coming back for brunch sometime.

I came here during brunch hours on a Sunday and it wasn’t as crowded as I thought. I did have reservations but I don’t think it was necessary(better safe than sorry!). The restaurant itself is really nice. I love the ambiance and décor. The outside seating area is lovely. The service was good as well. The waitress and bus boys were on top of their game. As far as the food and drinks go, I am not impressed. I had the eggplant puttanesca scramble. It was, eh. The eggs were way too watery. I’m guessing the eggplant and tomatoes made it that way but you have to know when to add the tomatoes and eggplant slices to the egg scramble so that it doesn’t come out soggy. The dish included two slices of toast. I ordered fries and they were overly salted and were cut into irritatingly small pieces. I hate when restaurants do that! Give me long fries, damn it! I ordered a cocktail called«the gangster». It was good and refreshing but if you’re looking to get a nice little buzz with that, good luck. I’m better off with my cucumber flavored seltzer water. I wanted to try this spot and I left disappointed. My friends described their food as being too bland. On to the next eatery!

This is my absolute favorite restaurant in LA! Make sure to make a reservation because they book up well in advance! I have been lucky multiple times in getting a table as a walk in because some of the back patio seating is first come first serve. The patio is an absolute must! The ambiance is great and the food is delicious. For brunch I love the chicken biscuit and the bacon breakfast sandwich with tomato jam. YUM! They also have great bloody Mary’s and other cocktails like The Gangster and Bye Felicia which can takes like a vacation in your mouth! The classic pizza is my go to! I love Laurel Hardware! It is great as a bar and restaurant

If you’re in the mood to grab a bite in a very buzzy, trendy spot in LA then this is the place for you. Most of the people there are in their 20’s — 30’s. I personally love hanging out at the bar and grabbing one of their very unique cocktails before getting a table in their outside patio and feasting on their seasonal treats. I really love the fact that they change the menu frequently, so you’re always trying something new. If they still have them on the menu by the time you read this, try the brussel sprouts. We’ve ordered seconds and thirds. We even tried to make them at home but they didn’t compare to the ones at Laurel Hardware. Also, the desserts are killer. The bread pudding especially. Just mind blowing. The place is a little pricey, but worth it.

My first time here was with my friend on a Wednesday night. The place was huge, I thought I got into the wrong restaurant. Overall great atmosphere, loved the outside patio, lovely setting. It was packed for a Wednesday night, good crowd. Food was delicious I ordered the chicken platter and the molten lava cake. Service was good at the beginning, but not so great at the end, and that’s why I’m giving the 4 stars. The waiter seemed to completely avoid our table, we kept calling for him to order desserts but he didn’t come to our table until later, and he wasn’t serving that many tables. But overall, I would come back again.

Since it was our first time here, we decided to order a few small items to try and I have to say it was good but not great. The pork ribs were a little dry and salty, although the flavor profile was good. I think if they fixed those two things, it could be a great dish. The mushroom pizza tasted good but the crust was too soggy. I would definitely suggest this place for drinks. 3 stars for food and 5 stars for service and ambiance.

Came here with my boyfriend on our first date exactly one year ago. And last night we celebrated our anniversary at the same place. When I made the reservation I told them we were celebrating our anniversary and when we got seated they brought us 2 glasses of champagne as a toast. It was so sweet and thoughtful of them! The ambiance and energy of this restaurant is incredible. The patio is so romantic and the food is delicious. especially their brussel sprouts! Can’t wait to come back!

Aside from the douchey door man out front, we really enjoyed this place. Good crowd and great outdoor back patio. Can’t speak for the food since we didn’t eat there, however I looked like people were enjoying it. Overall a strong after dinner spot and a new favorite place in the area. Recommended but would not wait in a line for it.

Really nice ambiance here. We were seated outside and it was beautiful however the service was very slow and our food was a bit cold when we got it. I got the bacon sandwich which was good but nothing special. My dad got the chicken and biscuit entrée for brunch and he loved it. We also got mimosas and a Bloody Mary. The Bloody Mary was good but tasted nothing like a traditional Bloody Mary, and had a strong cucumber taste. Not a bad thing, just very different from any Bloody Mary I’ve had.

Food portions are extremely small and pricey. Went here for a friends birthday and spent $ 300 amongst a few of us and we all still left hungry. I like the atmosphere and it’s a great place to come to for a bar type of scenery, but the food not so much. We got the Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, French fries, margarita pizzas and mushroom pizzas. The only thing I have to say is the mushroom pizza was absolutely incredible. Probably one of the best pizzas I have had in my entire life. But again, a little pricey for the portion size. Other than that everything we ate was pretty average. If you are going to eat here, do not go with more than 3 – 4 people max. The bill just becomes to out of control and no one will be satisfied.

Really a 3.5 but I’ll round up since I saw Jesse Pinkman here. I’ve been here for both evening drinks and for Sunday brunch. I saw Aaron Paul with his wife at brunch yesterday, so that was super cool. Who doesn’t like Jesse Pinkman? Science, bitch! It does get crowded at night, especially on popular nights like weekend nights so come early. The place to be is the gorgeous backyard so it’s great for hot summer nights. I just had the pizza off the dinner menu but it’s delicious. We had to wait a bit for dinner but we just grabbed drinks at the bar while we waited. It’s just ok for brunch IMO. They don’t have any espresso drinks which is a bummer. I had the kale salad with chicken, and the chicken is served on the side, not on the salad, which is kind of weird. Also, the chicken was super salty. I mean, if I’m ordering a kale salad with chicken, I’m obviously trying to eat healthy, so what’s the point of giving me super salty chicken? I thought that was short sighted. With that being said, my friend’s chicken and biscuits and french toast were both delicious. Brunch items seem to fare better for heavier items. Also, the watermelon juice my friend ordered was very tasty but definitely tasted more like a watermelon lemonade. My french press was perfect. Overall, though, super cute Weho spot with beautiful people and pretty good food.

An interesting use of old retail space having a lively atmosphere, attentive staff, beautiful bar, pleasing décor with a very cool and hip bar scene… Laurel Hardware is an excellent place for dinner or meeting up with friends for cocktails. The bartenders are very helpful and go out of their way to make sure that you love what you’re drinking. They have a great cocktail menu and the drinks are delicious also a great menu of share plates, salads in industrial chic surroundings plus outside area at the garden is amazing! I love everything about Laurel Hardware and will continue to come back. Keep that in mind it is quite loud, but don’t have to shout to be heard. But if you looking for a quiet place this is not the place for you to visit. Street parking is possible in this bustling area, though I highly recommend using their valet service.

Came here for a Girls Night Out. Because we had reservations, we were taken right in however we were not able to sit out on the patio. Our seats did overlook it though from the floor to ceiling window area behind the main bar which was very nice. The only fault with that seating area is that the tables are very low, knee level, which makes eating in a dress a bit difficult! The items that the ladies ordered were: Short Rib, Grilled Swordfish, Brussels Sprouts, Margherita Pizza, and the Grilled Octopus. I ordered the Lamb Sausage Pizza. Everyone loved their individual dishes overall. The grilled octopus appetizer was just eh and a bit overdone. My pizza was amazing and I would absolutely order it again! Overall, a very nice venue with a fun, classy atmosphere that gets very crowded after the dinner hour. Advice would be to stay at your table and order drinks rather than try out the bar area.

Obviously — as many others have said — the outdoor sign makes it seem like this place is an actual hardware store. And it used to be! Which is cool. It has awesome décor and a great outdoor garden. In typical LA fashion — you must not judge an establishment by their outdoor demeanor. And that went hand in hand with Laurel’s Hardware. I sadly did not eat here but all the food that went by us looked amazing. We sat at the bar and ordered drinks. I had a margarita — and it was probably one of the better marg’s I’ve had in a long time. A very fun place to come for a cute dinner and some good, strong drinks with friends.

Woot woot this place hits the spot! Laurel Hardware truly exceeded my expectations. A location with a story, hostesses that smiled when they greeted us, a waitress that went the extra mile with service, and brussel sprouts that were literally the best I ever had. What more do you need?! Drinks were creative and tasty. I got the«bye felicia» which tasted like a delicious horchata shake with lemon. My friend ordered the«smoke & flowers» which was a beautiful shade of gray and tasted superb. Margarita pizza was bomb. I requested a side of aioli to dip it in for an extra kick but the flavor was incredible regardless. As Arnold Schwarzenegger would say in his deep Austrian accent, «I’ll be back». My only recommendation is to make a reservation in advance and request the back patio! The sparkling lights create a romantic ambiance in this trendy atmosphere, as opposed to the inside bar area which is dark and noisy. The front of the restaurant is also nice but still not comparable to the patio. Oh ya — and arrive early to look for meters since parking sucks.

Came her for brunch with my friends and it was pretty good but we feel a little tricked. We ordered the three egg scramble and pancakes, short rib hash, and the smoked bacon sandwich. Well, here’s the critique. It’s advertised as a carafe of mimosas. It is not a carafe. If we know what a carafe is, this is not it. Perhaps a disclaimer or a little note on the menu would help. Guys or more importantly ladies, a carafe serves 3 to 4 people— no more or no less. Wish I had a pic but I think the explanation will suffice.

Love the ambiance of this bar. If you sit in the front room, you will, undoubtedly smell like food. Since I can’t handle that, I always rush to the back, which is so beautiful! Open seating if it’s late + amazing cocktail list. My favorite drink, by far, that I’ve had at any bar ever ever ever is the Rosie Posie, which comes with real rose petals and green-tea infused vodka and just all these amazing and innovative ingrediens. Great place to take a date after dinner or to hit up with friends.

Had a wonderful time at Laurel Hardware last night. For starters, the cocktails were absolutely fantastic. Especially the Flora Perigosa, which is a delicious experience. It is served with an edible Brazilian bud fruit that is a true party in your mouth, unlike anything I’ve ever tried before. It pops, it tingles, it enhances flavors… It’s the first thing I am ordering when I go back to Laurel Hardware! The ribs, lollipop sprouts and fries were great. Our server, Julie, was excellent and the ambiance was very fun. I especially liked the fact that there are three different areas to the restaurant: the front which is more quiet, the bar area with tables and a more fun vibe, and the back patio which is perfect for date night. This is one of my new favorite spots. I can’t wait to return!
