Oliver Tolentino

What a treat visiting Oliver Tolentino earlier this afternoon. I accompanied my fiancée who wanted to try on some dresses for a special event. Upon entering, Oliver didn’t miss a beat to welcome us, greeting us with a warm smile as he was attending to some clients.
When Oliver was ready for us, he took the time, along with his manager Carissa to go over some of the dresses they had and what they recommended for the event. Literally a week away from the event, Oliver made the time and definitely didn’t push any product on us — consummate professional, who loves what he does and where the end product is a client’s experience, not the sale.
Not sure where the other negative reviews are coming from, so I will assume they must have entered the wrong shop and instead are better suited to look into some off the rack specials at Walmart. To use «knock off or horrible» in the same sentence as this fine designer’s name is outrageous — It would’ve been prudent for you to really take the time to look at some of the work he’s done not only for some of Hollywood’s finest, but those internationally so you understand how talented this guy is instead of wasting Oliver’s time.
5 STARS all the way. This guy knows customer service, design and is a very humble and hospitable owner.

This knock-​off boutique deserves ZERO STARS, they over promise and under deliver. The owner and his misfits truly don’t understand the concept of service or integrity. They promise designer from scratch, yet turn around and have sweatshop workers in the Philippines actually construct the dress. This place should be sued for consumer fraud, hopefully they will be OUT-​OF-​BUSINESS SOON… Whatever you do, pass on this place!

Nice people working here. The gowns are beautiful and reasonably priced. Store manager is extremely helpful and caters to the customer’s needs. They also offer custom-​made gowns in the highest quality. My friend was very happy with her choice for an event.

First time I’ve been to his boutique in Melrose today to accompany my sister for her first fitting. Oliver is an epitome of genuine Filipino hospitality, and so was his office manager Michelle. Warm, very accommodating and very keen & attentive to details of his masterpiece in progress. He expertly explained to me and my mom about the details of my sister’s wedding dress… from the lace to the beadwork. He even suggested ideas on the entourage dresses. And while everyone was at the hype of discussion, my sister & I unknowingly forgot to insert coins in the street parking meter assigned to our spot, thus attracted a parking enforcement officer. Oliver immediately called our attention and ran with me outside to put some quarters in our parking meter. Isn’t he just awesome? Luckily, the officer saw my sister who also ran outside, still wearing the lining of her gown, and didn’t bother giving us a parking ticket anymore. The officer even gave his well wishes to my sister before he left. That was quite an experience. Over-​all, it was a pleasure meeting a very talented and I must say, one-​of-​a-​kind couturier in Oliver who values his relationship with clients entirely and is really dedicated in achieving that magnificent outcome of his work for the satisfaction of his clients. I look forward to go back to his boutique again for my sister’s next fitting and I am so glad that my sister will walk down the aisle wearing an Oliver Tolentino creation. I have posted a picture of us with Oliver on my FB wall recommending him to both my LA and Manila friends who have plans on getting married soon. =)

I came across Oliver Tolentino at a get-​together and found him to be warm, accepting, just, kind and gentle. While I liked him, I always thought his price range is off charts for me, a writer.
But, I was so wrong, he works with you and your budget, while being fair to his labor and his employees who help him fashion clothes that flatter your personality.
Why — he greets you warmly. Then, on demand, he draws the designs he believes fit your contours and grooves. For the first fitting, just the lining alone makes you feel like a queen already. Then, the ultimate last fitting is exact and precise. You might think he is the modern day Michaelangelo, chiseling every fabric of your dress to fit you just exactly! It is why it is called haute couture, it is designed for you, for your imperfect body, made with so much love and excellence and artistry in each seam!
Now, I sport his clothes as if I am a fashionista. Why, I feel like I am wearing his heart on my clothes, and his warm delicious soul in every fabric and seam that he personally tailored for me to bring out the divine, the beautiful being within me.
I dare you, thin, tall, fat, plump, wrinkled, young, old, to have your clothes done by Oliver Tolentino. Now, you might say going to him is a luxury, what is luxurious is how he treats you and pampers you with a young spirit, a faith in your body’s potential to wear his gifts. But, if your soul is in disarray, don’t go, for whatever excellent help and service Oliver gives you, your soul will scream, I don’t like my dress, when in fact, you are screaming, «I don’t like the person, the soul within! «
The dress never makes the woman, but in this case, the dress enhances the woman inside. When you feel loved, beloved and beautiful inside, an Oliver Tolentino dress, his gown is a must.
I wish Michelle Obama can be outfitted by Oliver, and I wish Oprah Winfrey gets outfitted by Oliver. Just as Oliver made Amber Riley shine, so will he make your light shine from within be without, and your dress will reflect that divinity within.
It is truly a queenly experience to have his clothes! Surrender now to Oliver Tolentino for the holidays, you will be a queen, a diva, but a divine one inside, not a flamboyant, not to impress, but to express what is truly beautiful inside, one who is generous and kind and accepting.

Enough BS! I was with her in the store and you hadnot done ANYTHING you had promised to do. The bottom of the skirt was crooked and she was spilling out of the dress. HOW DARE YOU, I can attest and have pictures to prove that you don’t have any ethics and left her stranded. Yes, it is technically her engagement, but it is as big if not bigger celebtration than the wedding. That is none of your concern. Your concern should have been a happy customer wearing a beautiful gown that FITS her. Anybody wants pictures, I have them!
This store and Oliver Tolentino deal in bad faith, period.

HORRIBLE!!! The worst experience I have ever had in a shop and this is for my wedding dress!!! The week before my wedding not only my dresses but also my moms dress was butchered!!! Please DO NO GO HERE I Don’t want anyone crying in there dress a week before there event!!! This store single handedly killed my bridal experience! Truly horrible place should be re named HEll not Oliver Tolentino
