Multiple time customer. I can honestly say evan is a straight shooter he’ll tell you how it is. Hes a solid guy. I read a few of the negative reviews and the customer must of had a bad attitude or expected miracles bc this shop, in my opinion, does everything you want a shop to do.
I came in with an issue with my car, and they handled it. Never felt I was being swindled for an unfair price. They even handled and finished my car the same day I brought it in when no other shop would take it bc it was too late in the afternoon.
There are plenty of auto shops all around this area and I’m sure you can find another one you might really like. I’m just letting you know that I like this one. (My 2 cents)

I came to this place out of desperation to fix my blown out radiator. I was told that it would be fixed for about 300 $ and I really had no other option. I decided to go through with it. I came a few days later to find my car was in running shape they told me they flushed my engine and test drove it and everything seemed fine and I shouldn’t have anything to worry about. Smiles all around right? Wrong, 15 miles later right before I arrive home my whole radiator explodes and is in worse condition than before. I called the shop and the guy played it off as if he was deeply concerned and upset and then told me they didn’t drive it that thoroughly because they had a bunch of other cars to tend to and then he asked me when I’d like to come back and pay another 300 $ for an alternative repair. Not a pleasant experience. Go somewhere else. Not here.

Good location. Nice people. Evan was a clear communicator and he was our man there for our service. We just got the gf’s Acura its scheduled checkup. Reasonable in price for this. But one big thing… After we left the Tire Underinflated indicator started beeping at us when we were close to home. We called and left a message. Evan has not called us back yet five days later. Could be better.

Don’t go here… Take your car around the corner to Altlanic Tire on Fairfax. I was quoted close to 1,000 for a broken fan/​radiator and sensors at One Stop.
On the advice of a friend I then took it to man called Tito at Atlantic Tire who took a look, told me the exact same things were wrong with it, but quoted me $ 560 with tax. HUGE difference, plus his whole demeanor at Atlantic Tire was just far more caring and genuine.
I am a foreign girl and maybe they were trying to take advantage of me at one stop? Or maybe they just charge everyone an expensive rate. Who knows. Just take my advice and compare the price around the corner!

It was not a good experience after spending close to $ 400 on repairing the vehicle and as soon as we arrived home, the vehicle had the same issue with a leaking radiator. I must say the feeling of spending your hard earned money and to go through this is devastating, especially if you are a college kid where every dollar counts more than the average person.
Needless to say, we will not be going there anymore.

He was very helpful and looked at my car right away and gave a quote. It was done in only a few hours once the replacement radiator coolant reservoir part was delivered. Even showed me the broken part. I was referred by a friend and will refer others here too!

Got a nail in our tire… came in and they fixed it real quick for real cheap with no attempt to up sell anything. Just handled what I needed and had me on my way in no time!
Plus there’s lots of stuff to do in the area close by if you do have to wait.

I have a well maintained vintage 97 BMW, repairs for which are abusively priced at Beverly Hills BMW.
When it comes to mechanical work, One Stop Auto excels at fixing only what needs to be fixed at a reasonable price, unlike the frequently laughable long list of recommended repairs from the BMW dealer at prices which indicate you should get a new car. But One Stop knows me enough now not to take the cheapest option which might soon require additional work.
In spite of my car being a 1997, it was still built with an extensive network of electronics which they’re not so comfortable with as they lack diagnostic machines which do not provide the same level of detail reporting, so it’s easier taking this sort of problem to the expensive dealer to sort out. Brad is happier with not working on electrical accessories like comfort seat positioning faults, which are a pain in the and need the dealer diagnostic.
But when it comes to classic mechanical work, One Stop does fine work at a reasonable price.

I can NOT say enough wonderful things about this place! So honest, so helpful and such genuine people. My husband and I have been going here for about 5 years and will never go anywhere else :)

I can’t say enough good things about this place — I wish I could give them 10 stars! I’ve worked with a lot of mechanics during my driving life, and these guys really put all of the others to shame. More than once, they’ve diagnosed and successfully fixed problems that have baffled multiple other mechanics. They’re also FAST — usually a one-​day turn-​around, even without much notice on my part. Evan is incredibly knowledgeable and professional — always completely up-​front about everything. They’re comprehensive, but always check before going ahead with any work, and are always happy to work with a budget /​schedule in mind. At this point, I can’t imagine going to anyone else — with several years of experience to back this up, I trust these guys implicitly.

The last time I went here, in 2001, I had a terrible experience that ended my using them as my preferred mechanics. (I had taken it there a few times prior with positive results).
But in 2001, I took my car there for some minor repair and an oil change. When I went back to pick up the car and tried to drive out of the parking lot, the car was lurching and jerking so hard it was clear they had done something really wrong and not tested it to make sure it was running ok before signing off on the repair. I drove it back in and explained the problem and got no apology or explanation. They just said «Ok, leave it here, we’ll take a look at it.»
When it was ready the next day, I went back, paid the bill, and asked them how much life they thought was left on my car in general (it was about 12 years old at the time). No answer. I asked again. Without looking up from her paperwork, the woman mumbled «you’ll get home,» and the man laughed.
I stood there for a minute staring at her, and just walked out of the place incredulously. I couldn’t believe that passes for proper business conduct. The next day, the engine seized from not having oil in the tank (remember, they were supposed to have just done an oil change) and my car was wrecked. Great job guys.
NOTE: It should be taken into account that 2001 is a long time ago, and even though it was under the same ownership as now, the lady who was rude to me is no longer there, and neither, probably, are all the mechanics working now the same as then.

These are very dishonest people. They told me they fixed something in the vehicle and did not. They are rude as well, when you call them on their dishonest behavior and become very belligerent.
They claim they’ve been there 40 years, but the guys who run it are in their 30s — not even born 40 years ago.
They’ll say they tried to offer a «cheap fix» — but a cheap fix isn’t what you go to a mechanic for. You go to a mechanic for a competent fix and expect honesty. You won’t find that here.

I’m finally releasing my true thoughts about this place.
This is a comprehensible nightmare story I would love to call «Seven Stop Auto Shop»
I noticed that the thermostat in my car was running a little warm the other night (30^th of Dec) so I decided to call my mechanic to see if he could look at it (the coolant levels were fine in the radiator and coolant container). Unfortunately he was too busy that day so I cruised Unilocal for a last minute mechanic. I stumbled on One Stop Auto and thought «okay, good reviews and it’s super close to my house. Perfect.»
Wrong. Who would have thought that going to this mechanic would be the worst mistake of 2014?
I took my 2001 Nissan Sentra to them (under 150 000) to see if they could diagnose the slight over heating issue. They said they’d look at it and give me a call. I walk home, get a call an hour later and say that they got a new thermostat but they noticed that there was a crack in the thermostat and said that we need to replace that. I asked if that would fix the problem and they said it would (Great!). A couple hours later I go pick up the car. They charge me almost $ 500 for the repair and I’m out of there.
That night I start work and I don’t make it a whole 10 miles before the thermostat shoots straight up past the circle and all the way to the H, the check engine light goes on, and smoke starts coming from my engine! After the nervous panic attack I get my car towed back to my house and gingerly take my car to One Stop Auto in the morning.
They take it, say they’ll look at it again free of charge. I go home. They call me an hour or so later said it was a hose that burst (Great!). So i take it and start work that night, no more than 10 miles and it overheats dangerously again! I am livid, but try to stay level headed. I get my car towed, AGAIN, and take it to them in the morning.
It is now the 2^nd of January 2015. They don’t know what the F^&* is up so they want to take a good look all Saturday and keep it over the weekend. I lose 2 more DAYS of work (total 4 so far).
I check in with them Monday and they said they’ve checked for air pockets, they checked for busted head gasket, all turning up negative. They test drove it around for 20 minutes should be fine right? WRONG! I take it and that night, all over again. This place is no longer called One Stop Auto, it’s more like 6 or 7 stop auto. I have start work again in a couple of days and I am freaking the F^&* out because I could be losing my job because of these a$$ hats.
So I get my car on the 8^th of January, celebrating a week of sitting at this dump hole of an auto shop. They say they had to do a heater bypass which means I wouldn’t have a heater anymore (not a huge deal in Southern California) so I said fine. I go to work that night and everything seems fine. I can’t stop looking at the thermostat all night. Friday I work, everything is fine. I go to work on Saturday, most of the shift is fine, BOOM! Thermostat slowly shoots right back up. I’ve never wanted to sue someone before, but I wanted these guys in lawsuit hell!
Towing service with my insurance said I’ve used all the complimentary service and I’d have to pay out of pocket so I just waited 20 minutes for the car to cool down. put water in the radiator and inched my way back home (an hour later). I lose another day of work because they aren’t open on Sunday.
I go back on Monday and demand either my car be fixed for free or I get all my money back (which is nothing at this point because I did the math and lost over $ 1000 in lost work and services). I got there right when they opened at 7, guy said he’d talk to the owner who comes in at 8. I go home. 8:30 rolls around I call the place and owner still isn’t there. I decide to go walk over t 9 and wait for him. He says he’ll give me my money back and I just have to take the car as is because they CANT FIGURE OUT WHATS WRONG. Let me clarify: My car only got worse after I took it to them and so they leave me to deal with the aftermath.
What have we learned today class?
1. One Stop Auto bought their certifications on Ebay.
2. Never come here. Ever. Again.
3. If you must come here, prepare to write to the Bureau of Automotive Repairs (because I sure as hell will be).
4. If a car gets worse when you take it to someone, chances are pretty good they’re a bunch of scam artists.
One Stop Auto, I wish you all the best of luck in your many future lawsuits.
P. S. My mechanic took a couple looks at it and told me outright it was a head gasket problem. You told me that it wasn’t, multiple times.

I can’t recommend the service and integrity of One Stop Auto enough!
First of all, full disclosure, One Stop Auto has been the auto shop I’ve used for several years and at least 3 vehicles now. That said, the following review is precisely the reason they’ve been with me for this long.
After having visited a named brand shop (see my earlier reviews) and received shocking news of an unexpected $ 1,000 in repairs that seemed to be of an extremely critical nature. After the initial shock wore off, I remembered that I have One Stop in my court to look at those repairs.
So, I took it in and told Evan (the owner) of what was being recommended by the chain repair shop. He asked how much they were charging me, but then stopped himself and said, «Wait, let me tell you how much I can do that for and let’s see how it goes.» This alone is a mark of integrity. So, as it turned out, it was going to be a couple of hundred less for the same work. In case you haven’t gone through this process, that’s what you can expect from a personal mechanic as opposed to a national chain.
But, what happened next floored me. I received a call from One Stop telling me that my car was fine and was ready to be picked up. It was described over the phone that none of the problems that led me there that day actually existed. Most notably the «cracked axel» that was preventing the national chain mechanic from doing the balance and alignment that I simply needed. On the invoice they very clearly noted that there was nothing wrong with either axel. Thank you!
After all was said and done, I paid my mechanic for the work that he’d done, but it didn’t even break C-​note. More than the great sum of money that One Stop saved me, they restored my faith in who I have asked to take care of one of my most valuable tools in a city like Los Angeles.
If you do visit, tell them Roger said Hi!

Took my car in today for a decently priced oil change that was completed quickly. My check engine light was on and zhe offered to to a check at no extra charge to see what could be causing it (he said he has a daughter and would want her on the road safe).
Turns out the check engine light is a factory issue he found on mazda’s website that alerts of misfires, he checked for misfires free of charge and said it was fine and that the alert was covered under warrantee at the dealership.
My air filter needed to be replaced and they had to order one from a local shop, it was the wrong size and he was super apologetic and tried to refund me. They cleaned the air filter and I’ll be back next week to get it changed.
My dad works on cars and has trained me to be aware of sketchy mechanics… I didn’t feel this way at all and never felt like I was being upsold in anyway… I saw a few other interactions and customers were all very happy. Not sure where some of these bad reviews could be coming from!

ORIENTATION: I’ve taken my cars here half a dozen times over two years, mostly with rather minor service needs. I’m no auto buff, though I’m less ignorant than some.
ASSESSMENT — THE BEAUTY: These guys are laid-​back, friendly and funny. They give realistic estimates, don’t try to rip you off, and don’t take too long to get the work done. I’ve had only success with the repairs they have made. Long story short — I trust them! And, personally, I love the quirky atmosphere of their unglamorous, almost rustic space.
THE BLEMISHES: There’s no «office» to speak of here, which I guess could be a minus on a really cold day. If you need gleaming counters and complimentary coffee to feel secure about a business, you might not be comfortable here. If you’re like me, though, that makes it almost fun to take the car into the shop!
