Sixty Six

Went there and I’m a gay guy. Bored and drinks expensive. Hopefully they go out of business and bring back Spike the gay club. We need more gay clubs on this side of WEHO.

The Sixty Six is like one of those girls that you meet in a night club that looks decent in the dark, but when the lights are turned on you realize you’ve been duped. I was recently invited here for a private party, and it appeared to be a decent place. The music and sound system were good. The drinks were on the expensive side, but strong. It was all good… until they turned the lights on. I was shocked by how run down this place was! There was black tape everywhere, seemingly holding all of their furniture together. It was about as tacky looking as I have seen. Although, I had a pretty good time during the party, I don’t think I would ever use this venue if I was hosting a special occasion. I especially would not invite anyone here with me if the lights are on. This place is in desperate need of some refurbishment!

My original review that I wrote over a year ago just got mysteriously erased by «Yelp HQ» for violating guidelines. No idea why other than Sixty Six is trying desperately to raise their rating.
While I wait for Unilocal to respond to my inquiry about why my rating was removed, I’ll say this:
I visited this night club over a year ago and was disgusted by pretty much everything about it. Poor service, overpriced drinks, terrible loud music and filled with the kind of losers that make Hollywood a sad place to live. This place wreaks of clueless people trying too hard and the fact that there’s usually a line out front, yet no one inside pretty much sums it up. This bar is less than a 5 minute walk from my front door and I’d gladly take a cab elsewhere than ever step foot inside again.

My girlfriend and I went here tonight since everyone was hanging here post the Rock The Bells weekend… and the crowd was awesome! Really great dj’s, hip hop and 90s, I wish more bars were like this in Hollywood and WeHo. I will definitely be back!

Looking at the other comments, it seems the night I went here was just a great night. Definitely think this place deserves a chance.
Yes, it is incredibly small for a «club» but it is a ton of fun if you are in a large group (as was my case) and we danced until 230a (which I cant think of any other place you can do that in LA). Drinks were strong, service was quick, and there are no lines.
Location is also great if you are just trying to go «straight clubbing in weho».
Not the most incredibly interior, but it is what it is and the bathrooms are very clean.

Finally a «new» dance spot in town!
I went to Sixty-​Six a few weeks ago on a Friday night and it was poppin’. Great music by DJ Lady Sha. Hip hop and a mix of electro/​dance. She definitely kept the energy up.
There was no line at 11:30pm and no cover. The club lay out was good. Perfect for dancing. The venue is small but it was just crowded enough when we were there.
Overall, great place, easy cab ride from West-​LA and def will be coming back soon.
(Not sure why there were so many negative reviews, but 4 months since the last post it deserves another chance)

i went here on a thursday night for a co-​workers birthday celebration, didn’t have to wait in line or anything. the inside is very small but has nice décor. they had bottle service so i really didn’t have to buy any drinks. the d. j was good he mixed up well. i don’t think i will return back to this place though.

Can somebody tell me why I was waiting outside? After 45min of standing in a line for no reason I entered a half empty bar /​club. The décor inside is pretty nice. I like the layout but again, waiting outside for no reason puts a major damper on the entire night here. There honestly is no reason ever to come back.

Unprofessional door guy. Went on a thursday night around 10, there was no line at the door. We asked if we could go in and the door guy was just looking down at his phone without even looking at us and said no wtf

«brian» the door guy is a douche even if you’re cute and know someone you’re still going to have to put up with his debbie downer attitude which just ends up ruining your night and its SO not worth it! There are way better places to go!
