I just didn’t see the value. The variety of fish was impressive and the taste and quality consistently above average, but $ 280 for two? Not worth it.

This is my favorite sushi place in LA. I have been to many places but this is by far the best one. Some of the dishes seemed like they were going to be bad but they were amazing. The staff is so nice. The place is small but it is nice because it is not so loud like some of the other places that I have been to. Overall it is AMAZING.

The most tender, melt in your mouth sushi around!!! Pieces are mini-bite size, so prepare for multiple orders. Freshness and quality make up for portion size!

I’m literally writing this so I remember the name of this place. I have the worst memory for names, but if I write a review on Unilocal,I know I can always find it. I’ve been here six times and each time, it’s been beyond delicious. I don’t want you to go here and make it busier. To be fair(and since this is supposed to be a review), the food is insanely awesome so I have to give it five stars(sigh). If you are a complainer about the portion size, may want to pass on it(and maybe head to an all you can eat bar at Sizzler or whatever). Regardless, I’ve been so full I needed to be rolled down the stairs each time I’ve been… so I can’t imagine what the people are complaining about when it comes to portion size. Seriously.

In my opinion, this is the best sushi in LA. Please don’t come here. It is already crowded.

They should call this place Microsushi Went here for the first time after a friend recommended it Small place very nice staff A little bit dated décor but good enough for a sushi place Basically the food is very good but the portions are absolutely tiny Small pieces of fish and rice, this goes for the sushi, sashimi and hand rolls Also, this place is not cheap, over $ 20 for a sashimi plate Spent over $ 105 for two and left hungry, Not coming back

Delish! We sat at the sushi bar where omakase(chef’s choice) is your only option… which is what we wanted. Great Sake selection. Pricey but worth it. Great quality fish, melt in your mouth sushi/sashimi. Just be aware this place doesn’t do crazy rolls or dishes(like crunchy rice/spicy tuna).

Excellent, but pricey! Went here the other day for lunch. Fortunately, my dining companion was putting it in his expense account. Lunch, without desert and only tap water, was $ 330.00 + tip for the two! Nigiri were very small, but huge variety and plenty… at least 20 pieces plus some little side dishes as well… finishing with top notch crab hand roll. Would I return… yes, if someone else were picking up the check.

Amazing spot! Albacore & The Yellow Tail are my favorite. Everything is so fresh, I swear they kill the fish in the back, lol! Service is on point and the food comes prompt! FYI: This is a Traditional Sushi Restaurant, No Teriyaki, California Rolls! There’s even a BIG sign at the door lol! Good luck with Reservations, you will Def need it… and seating is limited! If you love fresh Sushi, this is top 3 in LA! Hands Down!

One of the best sushi bars in Los Angeles. When i say that, please keep in mind this restaurant is geared toward authentic sushi style enthusiasts. Not your trendy, mainstream california rolls, tempura you find in cheap joints or a buffet. You can go to sugarfish, nobu, sushimac if thats what youre going for The cuts are precise. The fish is clean and high quality. Everyone is very kind . Very intimate ambiance. Discrete environment. No pics are allowed. Bottomline, good quality sushi cost money. If youre ready for the experience, this is the place

Great sushi, just expected better. I assumed the rice would be warm, but it was cold. That was a letdown. But the fish quality was super and they were cut the perfect size! Nice and thin, not some big hunk. I got the omakase(chef’s choice) but asked for fish only. I was pleased with the selection. I was rather annoyed when I attempted to take a picture of my food and a waitress came and immediately made me put my phone away, apparently taking pictures isn’t allowed. I was really confused by that because of all the pictures I looked at on Unilocal and Instagram before I went… This place is EXTREMELY expensive if you do omakase. So I’m surprised you can’t even take a picture of your food… Overall, it was very good, but for the price I just expected better; like the rice being the proper temperature, which really does make a difference. Sugarfish is definitely comparable, although you can tell the actual fish here is of superb quality, a step above anywhere else I’ve been.

The fact that people come here and this place has good reviews boggles my mind. The sushi is ½ the size of what normally is served and more expensive. Sugarfish is better! Echigo blows this place out of the water. It’s not that great. It’s not bad quality but it’s not worth it

Sushi Park is flawless. In my opinion it is definitely within the top 5 sushi spots in LA. It’s very unassuming from the outside, tucked away in the corner of an unexciting strip mall. Upon walking in it is still very modest, nothing special… But then you eat the food and die a million happy deaths. Get the omakase. You can tell them in advance if there are certain fishes you’d prefer not to eat, and they’ll work around them. Yay for no risk of being served fish you don’t like! They make each piece of sushi feel so special. The servers also introduce each item to you in the most adorable way as they come, and let you know«please, no soy sauce» if it has already been prepared with a sauce or salt by the sushiya san. Every bite is an explosion of flavor. Super bright, clean, fresh, sweet, rich, buttery… all the things perfect sushi should be. They basically keep bringing stuff until you warn them you’re getting full. I generally wait until I’m almost going to explode because I want to eat all the things. It is just so, so, good.

My first time here and I loved it. Actually came here for my boyfriend’s birthday dinner. Service and sushi were spectacular. Definitely have to eat Omakase. The sushi was super fresh and clean. We ate plate after plate… I believe we had over 10 courses easily. The chefs ask you at the beginning if you’re allergic to anything in particular or if there’s anything you’d like for them to exclude. Don’t come here expecting to get ginormous portions of sushi or California rolls. This is authentic sushi, so expect to pay a high price for this quality. I would definitely come back and eat here again!

One of my favorite sushi spots in the city. Small space in a strip mall on sunset, you need reservations usually, James is very friendly. They do not like you taking pictures. The sushi bar is reserved only for omakase. The owner is usually there, Lisa is also and she is great. This is traditional sushi done very with with high quality fish. Omakase can be expensive, about 150, but its worth it. They are very creative with their dishes for omakase, and present them well, telling you when you can use soy sauce. If you sit at a table there is a menu and it is traditional sushi, still really good. One of my favorites are the shrimp which come with fried shrimp heads. The quality of the fish is really amazing.

WOW another amazing sushi joint! Its a small place(maybe 8 tables with some bar seating) inconspicuously hidden on the second level of a shopping plaza on sunset. Nothing fancy about the place(wood chopsticks) but the sushi Is so good! We came hungry and essentially ordered everything. Must haves: blue fin toro, albacore, salmon, hamachi, uni. Kanpachi was maybe the only nigiri that we had that gets a lower rating. Their handrolls are so good! We had the crab and the freshwater eel rolls, I liked the crab better but both were amazing. The service is great. The only reason I’m giving this place four stars is that I do think it’s pricey. While the food quality is amazing, when I pay $ 100-$ 120/person for sushi and sake, I expect a little more fancy atmosphere to complete the experience. I’ll def come back!!!

Came in as a small group. Eater and Unilocal said its/they’re the best. We did expect to pay a lot. We sat, we ate. We did expect sushi that’d make us orgasmic. Paid the bill. We left confused, broke and still hungry! I didn’t get it… he didn’t get it… she didn’t get it… they didnt get… we didnt get it! … What the hell did we miss?

Sushi is ok but nothing extraordinary which would justify the price. The portions are really small, so after 7 courses we asked for the check, not because we were full but it took too much time and we had to go. We ended up paying 200 $ and yet we were still hungry. It’s a crazy rip-off and I have never paid so much for so little for mediocre sushi. I don’t recommend this place to anyone.

I came here with some friends this week and I have to say I was blown away at the level of execution. This is definitely some of the best sushi in LA. The surroundings do not look like much. The restaurant is located in an unassuming strip mall next to a tailor and a hair salon. You can almost always find parking in the garage beneath the strip mall. Make reservations as the people who come to this restaurant are loyal and return often. The way to order here is the Omakase. Feel free to tell them things that you don’t like and expect to see a ton of sushi and don’t forget to end with the blue crab hand roll. The price for this fabulous sushi dinner? It’ll set you back about $ 100 per person. But I guarantee you won’t regret it. Their delicate use of the shiso leaf is so wonderful and adds another element of taste to the fish. I wish I could tell you every piece of fish I tasted, but I know there were varieties of tuna, Salmon and more. Their wine list could use a little bit of work, but other than that this place is a keeper. I just wish I had discovered it when I was living less than a mile away.

5+. This restaurant is just: yes. Amazing food. Low key but very precise service. I could eat here every day.
