Target Pharmacy

I go out of my way to use this pharmacy because the staff is extremely helpful. My wife has epilepsy so we frequent the pharmacy. they take extra time to personally correct issues caused by doctors and insurance, have found coupons for me, and are just generally on top of things.

Not just good… It’s good enough!

So my buddies and I decided to do secret Santa. $ 50 limit. I looked all over for a home brew beer kit, to no avail. Even BevMo, which claimed to carry it on their website, no longer carried it.
So, I wandered somewhat dejected, because the secret Santa was the next day. And just as I was about to leave, what do I see? A second-​floor shining beacon of light and hope, otherwise known as Target.
I found someone to help me, and was immediately led to… An Anheiser Busch-​supported keg dispenser.
The only down side is that you have to buy the proprietary kegs. Otherwise, it’s pretty cool because you have various (?Anheiser Busch) brands including Bass and 312 beer.
Not exactly what I was looking for, but close enough!

This is the most expensive target i have ever been to in my life. Taking into account that this location is in the heart of West Hollywood on the corner of La Brea and Santa Monica and also that it’s extremely clean, well stocked, well staffed and the service is good, I guess you get what you pay for. There is an underground parking which I believe is free for the first two hours. Hi usually don’t have trouble finding parking here but then again I’ve never been here during high traffic times like the holiday season. The only other remarkable thing about this target is that it seems to be frequented by the best looking people in Los Angeles. I mean it every time I visited this target in sweatpants or without make up I regret it because I see a number of super gorgeous people walking around buying paper plates and dog food and shit. Also I know some of you kids are into shoplifting, a word of wisdom: I really wouldn’t try it here (or anywhere else for that matter), it looks like security is real tight.

I’m impressed with the service at this target pharmacy. I recently started filling my prescriptions here, but have been shopping at this target since relocating to LA.
I forgot that I had filled prescriptions in the past at a target in Sacramento so I had refills left over. That made things very easy. I requested it at the counter and it was ready for pickup within 20 minutes. I also brought in a new prescription and had my doctor call in another. Both were filled immediately and ready for pickup within the hour.
Nice and friendly staff as well.

I never thought I’d have a favorite pharmacist, but LARRY IS THE BOMB. You can be like crippled from sickness and Larry makes you feel like you’re going to wake up tomorrow

Ugh where to begin… first of all I don’t mind the parking, you get an hour free. Bags are 10cents. You have to buy bags every where now so I don’t mind so those are not the reason why I give them a star.
I placed an online order, I got an email 3DAYS AGO saying it’s ready at the guest service to be picked up. So I walk in the store remembering I also need cat litter. It takes me 2 minutes to grab cat litter and 15minutes to pay because the cashiers want to have a conversation with every customer about nonsense. I go make a line to get my item picked up, the item I ordered online. There’s a long line for returns and a separate line for pick ups which only had a customer in front of me, I thought cool I’ll be out of this bitch fast… WRONG! The return line gets longer by the second and they want to take all the returns first before dealing with us picking up. Even tho I’ve been waiting 20 minutes longer then the return you’re about to process. 30minutes later I’m been helped… I give my id, the guy gives it back and goes on to look for my item inside the store!!! WTF IS THE POINT OF ORDERING ONLINE IF YOU DONT HAVE MY ITEM READY IN THE FRONT LIKE THE EMAIL SAYS SO!!! 15minutes later my item arrives. Was he sorry for wasting 45 minutes of my life? Nope. Did he give a shit I’ve been waiting so long and my time is not only Wasted but late for my evening plan. Nope. Didn’t care he is miserable up the ass. I exit the store. Took 45 minutes picking up one single item, 15 minutes paying my litter box and 2minutes me getting the litter box, there goes my free parking hour at target because of the lazy employees you have there. I Go to the parking line $ 1.50 for 2 minutes. I don’t mind paying, but it wasn’t fair I took so long because of the bastards upstairs. I’m explaining to the parking attendant and he is even more of a bigger ass hole then the two guys that helped me upstairs. In the end guys I wasted 1hour of my valuable time I will never get back, I was late for my evening plans, I cached the worst traffic, and payed $ 1.50 for all of this to happen. Way to go target! Not!

I have been going to Target Pharmacy for several years. The West Hollywood pharmacy for the past 18 months. After reading some of the reviews that have been posted in the last 6 months I understand better that it might not be my doctors problem but this pharmacy’s problem of loosing refill requests, poor communication, and general poor service.
On 2÷27÷15 I was on hold for 1 hour and 15 minutes trying to get my prescription filled. I was told that «guys left me alone while they all went to lunch.» I was so frustrated that I asked for the district manager’s phone number. The team there did not have the number!
On ³⁄₃ I got a phone call saying that my prescription would be ready on ¾. I went in on ³⁄₅ and guess what after waiting 30 minutes in line it wasn’t ready. «We had two sick calls so nothing got done. We have your medicine it just has to be processed.» I waited another 10 minutes and it was ready.
I was told by the associate MEGHAN that the pharmacy manager’s last day was yesterday, ¾. AMEN! I hope that the new manager puts some processes in place to improve communication and all around service. Based on what Meghan was saying with the call outs, the fact that manager was leaving and general sharing of non essential information the week prior that she and others are feeling frustrated and perhaps feeling not supported.
I am going to give them another 6 months to decide if I should move my business elsewhere.

I wouldn’t normally write a review about a pharmacy because no Rx is fun to be in but this one is especially BAD. Nothing irritates me more than when customer service people lie about timing to sound better. If its going to take three hours to fill my prescription then fine, don’t tell me it’ll take 30 minutes so I’m waiting around only to find out that it hasn’t even been processed. Ended up asking for my Rx back and just went to my regular pharmacy. Spent money in the store shopping for no reason.
Every time I call this place I am put on hold for at least twenty minutes. Then told by the staff that they are helping customers and can’t do such a simple task as tell me whether or not my Rx was filled. I can’t wrap my head around it because I work a very fast paced job and have never put someone on hold for that long.
This pharmacy is just frustrating and difficult to deal with. Save yourself the stress and go to an actual pharmacy like Rite Aid or your local mom and pop place.
They are very understaffed and always seem confused or dumbfounded when asked questions. There is a manager who is SO NICE she is very helpful and apologetic for her employees but unfortunately thats not enough.

I love Target pharmacies and this one in particular I’ve been coming to for the past few months. Each month I bring in my prescription. They usually fill it same day, or they order it for me and I come back a few days later. I’ve never had any trouble.
Yesterday, however, was a different story. A new (presumably) lady was working there. She seemed to be in charge though it was peculiar that she wasn’t wearing a uniform nor even a name tag. Anyway, whatever. I gave her my prescription. She went to the back to check if it was in stock (I thought that’s what the computers were for?), and then she came back and told me that they didn’t have it and I should try somewhere else. «Oh, okay.» I said. «But actually I’m not in any rush, if you could order it for me I don’t mind coming back in a few days or next week to pick it up.»
I thought I was asking a reasonable question. I mean, that’s what they do right? If they don’t have something they order it. But instead she tells me, «actually we’re only able to order so much medication per month and so I can’t promise you anything.» Uh… Ok? But I come here all the time. I’ve never had a problem. What exactly is the issue? In the end she said she couldn’t help me but she would personally contact the pharmaceutical company to try and place an order for me… Though she didn’t take my prescription let alone write down my name.
Overall, it was just a really bizarre situation. I’ll go back, but next time I’ll be careful to speak with someone who seems a little more competent and willing to, I dunno, do their job?

The wait time here is ALWAYS at least half an hour. The staff are lovely and helpful but there just aren’t enough of them!
If you are shopping anyway, put prescription in first then shop.
But if you’re just wanting to fill it and go — forget it. It takes way too long.

Once again, these folks exceed my expectations. They are simply the best. They make the calls, they do the leg work — even helping me try to get a discount on an outrageously expensive prescription. I cannot say enough good things about the hard working folks at the WeHo Target Pharmacy.
Transfer your scripts here now. You won’t regret it. They know customer service. Big fan.

Yeah they just are one of the best and deserve five stars. They are both pleasant in person and on the phone, and always handle everything the way it is supposed to happen. Everythings always in stock, etc.

I usually hate to boast for big powerful companies, but I really do love Target Pharmacy. They are ALWAYS super nice whether I am calling for a question or picking up at their location. They are informative, patient, and well trained in customer service. I’ve had the opportunity to switch now that I’ve moved further away from them and still continue to use this location. Highly recommended.

The employees who work the pharmacy at this Target are great! When my birth control got discontinued (grrrrrrr) they answered all my questions about my options. When my doctor was being a pain in the tush about calling in my new prescription they went out of their way to call when it was convenient for my doctor. Even though they were super busy every time I called over the 2 day period it took to straighten everything out (3 or 4 people on hold at a time) they were always super sweet and accommodating. I wish I could remember the names of the girls who helped me but I didn’t write them down! At any rate this will be my preferred pharmacy for a long time!

I have been a customer of Target Pharmacy for about 8 years now and although their service hasn’t always been perfect, I have put up with them for convenience sake because I often shop in their store. Over the years, I have ignored some more minor occurrences, like telling me I have no «refills» on file and after several phone calls insisting that I do, I’m finally told I don’t technically have a «refill» I have a brand new prescription that I put on «hold» so that is why they couldn’t help me when I called earlier to order a refill. Excuse me? How dumb are you?
They also seem to have problems getting medications. I have been told several times that my prescription is on back order or no longer carried by Target.
Then, I’ve had the situation where Target has left me a message informing me that there is a problem with my prescription and I need to respond with instructions for them, but when I call to give instructions, they have already proceeded to act on their own without waiting for my answer. Again, what are you doing?
Then today I was given a completely new medicine and informed that it was a generic of the generic I was already using — what? When I asked to speak to the pharmacist I spoke with CAROLINE, who was incredibly rude. I explained that I was going to another pharmacy that could give me my original medication and I wanted to return the new medicine — that was given to me without a phone call explaining the change — and she told me I could not return the medicine, that this was all explained to the person who picked it up for me (my boyfriend, who says nothing was explained to him, but that’s beside the point, Target should have called me BEFORE substituting my prescription), that she could not reverse the refill because that would be fraud (I wasn’t asking her to commit fraud, I wanted to return the medicine and get it cleared off my insurance so that I could get my correct medicine refilled elsewhere), and then when I was telling her about transferring my prescriptions to another pharmacy, she hung up on me. I was livid.
I have praised Target for years, but this experience really infuriated me. I cannot believe how rude Caroline was and that she actually hung up on a customer mid-​sentence. I took immediate action in transferring all of my prescriptions, reported her to the store manager, filed a complaint against her with Target’s customer service, and cancelled my Target credit card (which I’ve had for nine years and use for pharmacy reward points). I will NEVER use Target Pharmacy again.

I was told by MEGHAN that they were out of the flu shot. Okay, no problem, so I dropped off my prescription. I walked by to pick up my script about 20 minutes later and see someone getting the flu shot… huh? Okay, so I go to pay and the (VERY helpful, NICE guy-​JIM) checked me out. I figured I’d ask one more time if they have the flu shot… guess what? THEY DID. Then I watch as MEGHAN tells the Pharmacist that she told me they were out of it, and they have their little whispery conversation. I made sure to let her know I saw that, and told her I appreciate it. NO APOLOGY, NOTHING. The pharmacist is great, I love her, she’s helped me a lot in the past few years I’ve been going there. She (and Jim) are the ONLY reason I’m not giving them ONE STAR. I’m obviously a little heated, but you would be too if someone BLATANTLY LIED TO YOUR FACE and didn’t AT LEAST apologize. Super annoying.

The staff at this pharmacy is very efficient and friendly. I’ve been going to this pharmacy for years and I’ve never had a problem with them. By far a better choice than Rite-​Aid or CVS!

I usually have a 30 days supply of my medication for emergencies. This pharmacy keeps on ‘forgetting’ to refill my medication so I’ve depleted my saved supply. I had a talk with the manager and she was not helpful at all.

I’d been using target for a couple of years for my prescriptions. I know. It’s a pain in the butt, trying to find parking, standing in line etc, but I could also pick up the random stuff I needed once a month. No more.
It’s a pity for target, bc I’m going to be saving a lot of money! But seriously, now that they keep on hiring new people, their services has gone way down and you have to double check everything b/​c they make mistakes. Prices are double what they are at Ralphs and the service pretty much sucks. Don’t worry, they won’t take the time to explain anything about your medication to you.
And, it was surprisingly easy to transfer my rxs, I just had to call on the phone and they did everything for me. No more target for me!
