I’ve bought two dresses from The Kit Vintage and cannot say enough good things about Robyn’s collection! She has an amazing sense of style. Both times I’ve been there, she’s been at the store, and has pulled pieces I may be interested in and I’ve loved her selections. The clothes she has are incredibly unique and also very reasonably priced. I will definitely be coming back, this place is a hidden gem that needs to be on your list of vintage clothing stops in LA.

If you are looking for a unique hard to find stand out pieces for your closet, The Kit Vintage is where you must go! I have purchased two incredible dresses from them, both very different and special in their own little way, both show stoppers too! Robyn is the buyer/​owner and she spends time with you, making sure you look smashing in the item you are trying on, and if nothing tickles your fancy, she may have pieces hiding in a back room or will keep an eye out for what you are looking for. She’s all about pleasing and making you look fabulous! I could not suggest a better place to stop into if you are looking for a one of a kind vintage treasure.

Alongside the chic rows of mouth watering art deco era diamonds and rare Cartier trinity bands, The Kit Vintage is a carefully curated assortment of high end vintage that stands tall in comparison to stores like The Way We Wore and Decades. Although the collection is still intimate, you will find unique pieces for a variety of occasions with really reasonable prices to boot!
I visited the shop after several great recommendations to look at engagement rings. After chatting with Larry Platt for some time, I knew this was the place I wanted to find my ring. His knowledge and ability to find truly the most unique vintage pieces blew me away.
While I was shopping, I noticed a lady trying on a to die for floor length full embroidered dinner gown that was absolutely stunning. I couldn’t resist having a peek and even coming from the fashion industry myself, I have to say, I was more than impressed!
I found the coolest 1960’s white shift dress with diamanté trim that was in perfect condition and fit me like a glove. Even better, I didn’t fall over when I saw the price tag.
Robyn, Larry’s wife & Kit Vintage founder, is the hippest & sweetest pint sized stylist gone shop girl! She offers great ideas for whatever event you have and is super cool and laid back when it comes to a sale. You really get the vibe that she truly loves what she does and is just enjoying sharing her stellar finds.
