I have yet to schedule an appointment or see Dr. Mullins. However, today(10⁄5), at approximately 9:30AM, I awoke to a call from Lindsey(or Lindsay), who, I take, works with new patients. She was patient, yet direct, as she requested for my insurance information, my physician’s information, the neurologist whom I previously consulted and who diagnosed me, and the location where I received my MRI.(Luckily, I keep a folder with copies of that information, so I was able to stumble to my closet and grab the folder.) Dr. Mullins apparently wanted to look at the previous MRI(in spite of the fact that I would like another, independent MRI – I suppose that there could be legal constraints) confirm or deny the presence of a tumor. So, I expected to hear back from Lindsey, and she attempted to call me back at c. 11:00 am. I was doing laundry, so I didn’t hear the phone. She left a voicemail that didn’t reveal much.(However, I suppose, again, for legal reasons.) I attempted to return her call; however, I was met with the voicemail-inclined front-desk staff member from last week’s call. So, I left a voicemail.(Woo-hoo.) In fairness, I appreciate the action/response taken. I expect a response tomorrow. However, again, I stress to new patients or those seeking a second opinion to stay persistent and — if need be — document your interactions with Dr. Mullins’ representatives via Unilocal or to keep them honest. (Thanks for the response and action taken, Dr. Mullins’ staff.) ****Update**** Today(10⁄15), ten days since my initiation appeal to see Dr. Mullins, Lindsey was able to secure me an appointment – with not Dr. Mullins(4.7÷5 with thirty-seven responses on ) but Dr. Salvatore(5⁄5 with one response). To be fair, I would’ve had an appointment sooner: 10⁄14 if I wasn’t in class or sometime last week if Bethesda MRI&CT was able to relay the«report» sooner that I suppose accompanies an MRI.(I only have a digital copy of the latter.) So, again, if you’re a new patient(and if they don’t clone Lindsey), you might have to play the waiting game, which might result in an unanticipated result(if they don’t clone Dr. Mullins). I was able to wait – because I’ve had only one episode, if one can call it that(just disorientation and increased salivation), on 10⁄7 since choosing to abstain from my prescribed dose(1000-mg, twice-a-day) of Levetiracetam on 10⁄6 – and will probably continue. Reason being, if I do require a biopsy, I want it to be performed by someone who is experienced, not in search of it. (Thanks anyway, Lindsey!)

Had back surgery a few months ago. He did a phenomenal job. Would highly recommend if you’re considering surgery of any kind.
