went to this park for a casual morning stroll during early April. The park was brown and dull, but the views were breathtaking! There is so many places to stop and enjoy the scenery and many rocks to perch on.

There is an overlook for Mt. Jefferson on the Blue Ridge Parkway, just north of Boone. But not many people know what Mt. Jefferson is actually a park of its own. It’s not a very big park. You drive up the mountain, park your car and there’s a couple of trails and overlooks but the views are breathtaking from any vantage point. Luther’s Rock is my favorite point to sit and enjoy the scenery. There are lots of rhododendrums along the trails and flowering plants in the springtime. The summit reaches over 4,500 feet. One of the overlooks provides views of 3 states: North Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.
