Shepherd’s All Star Lanes

Now here’s a good deal on bowling. $ 1.99 per game. Here’s the catch. It’s on Sunday morning from 9:00am-12:00pm. I know what you’re thinkin. «What I have church. What would God and Jesus say.» They would say. BOWL! Eat pizza and drinkth beer.

The Bar= Great bar for a bowling alley!
The Lanes= excellent! I don’t think you can find better lanes in the valley.
The service = ok I guess. I tried to make reservations for a couple lanes over the phone and was told rudely that I have to make them online. So I tried but their website sucks because it doesn’t work well with an iPad. Once I was at the bowling alley they were friendly but not over the phone.
THE FOOD= dreadful. This place desperately needs to throw out their recipes and start over! The pizza taste worse than any pizza I’ve ever had, so we tried the cheese fries and they were soggy nasty things and then we stopped there! Who screws up pizza and cheese fries? This place does that’s who!

I have been bowling here in a league every week for many years now so it is upsetting that I have to write this review and give them one star all based off one event with one employee. I have loved bowling here over the years as I have found the facilities to be nice and clean and they feel fresh compared to other lanes in the valley. With that being said the service from the snack bar on this particular night was absolutely atrocious, from the lady named Sandy specifically. We had bought some drinks and decided to keep the cups in our locker (located at the alley itself) and use them for refills each week as there was no sign indicating this could not be done. We had been doing this for some time until tonight when this employee said we couldn’t be doing this. I understand where she was coming from and I was not upset about her telling us this could not be done. What is upsetting though is the disrespect she showed us. From the get go she showed my brother and I no respect and was condescending. She wasn’t even the one to initially serve us but jumped right in front of the girl who was and immediately started to harass us about this. She even left the counter for the other girl to continue helping us and then came back to continue the harassment after we had respectfully purchased new cups. At this point I asked her to stop being a jerk as we had been using cups like this for refills for the past couple years and had never been told we could not. I know she has been employed here for quite some time as I have also seen her working the front desk on occasion and have witnessed her be snappy and rude to other customers as well so be mindful of that. Overall, The rudeness she showed my brother and I will not be forgotten. We will finish out this league but look to bowl elsewhere starting next year all due to this one act of rude behavior. I know our lack of bowling here won’t hurt this company as they have many alleys in the valley and are obviously doing quite well for themselves. I also know this review won’t be seen by many eyes but I can hope it will at least be seen by the owner of the establishment so he is aware of this employees behavior. And if you happen to be a consumer looking to bowl here and are reading this I would keep your eye out for this employee and stay away.

I went with my nine year old brother and my wife. My tried to ask the employee to raise the bars for my brother, but the employee hassled and ridiculed my wife and denied her, thinking she wanted the bars for herself.
Other than that, it is a pretty good place to go bowling.

I have come here on many occasions for «after-​work» get together parties at the lounge. But, until last night — I hadn’t ever bowled here. Overall — I like this place as a whole. The entire facility is clean and well maintained. Many, many lanes of bowling available. Like most bowling alleys, the lanes have automatic scoring — making it very easy for the amateur bowler to have fun and not worry about all the little quirks of the scoring process. The rented bowling shoes were in great condition… like brand new. The bowling balls were in need of a little repair /​replacement — but I guess if you’re a serious bowler of any sort, you’re gonna probably own your own ball. Plenty of activities throughout the center… arcade, bowling, lounge, and small diner. Would definitely come again. Had a great night.

I absolutely LOVE this All Star Lanes. Prefer it over any bowling alley in the valley. They are great for any age, any group, any time, and any needs. I feel just as comfortable taking the special needs kids I work with here as I do going out with friends. They have great staff that are very nice and helpful. The food service is very speedy and tastes surprisingly good. Cosmic bowling is a blast. Bowling during the day is nice because it usually isn’t busy. Yes, it is starting to look a little run down, but they are doing a great job of keeping it looking so nice for how long it’s been open. They also have a separate sports lounge. Last time I went in we paid for an hour of bowling, and didn’t use the last 15 minutes. Didn’t think much of it, since it was only $ 18, but the lady at the counter stopped me on our way out to give me the change. Now THAT’S what I call customer service!

We came here on a Monday night, so the place wasn’t too busy. The staff was friendly and offered our party of 10 two lanes, since they had the space. Getting set up for our bowling games was quick and easy.
The establishment is clean and offers an arcade section for kids. Lanes were well maintained and ball return was pretty fast. Overall a good experience and I would come here again.
