New cookie shop hailing from the land of Bloomington. Very similar to Insomnia Cookies with some added perks. Right by bad Mad Mushroom pizza, across from Rawls. Basically — serves cookies until really late(4 am) for people that«want to get baked» or to weirdos like me that actually get regular cookie cravings at 2 am. The«added perks» — Pick a cookie you want to eat. They create it and bake it right there and then for you. If you want to be all fancy about it, there are three steps to the cookie getting process. 1) You pick your dough(chocolate, sugar, pumpkin, oatmeal, gluten free, etc.); 2) You pick your toppings(chocolate chips, m&ms, oreos, etc); 3) Pick afterbakes — or things you want to drizzle on top of your cookie after it’s done baking(frosting and whatnot). If you want to be less fancy about it there are«Orphans» and«sludgebars». Orphans are cookies from other orders that got left behind. I believe they bake a full tray of whatever you order, even if you only want 6. These are clearly cheaper than making your own. They make the sludgebar with the leftover though of all the orders they get. It’s really what it sounds like: a frankenstein monster bar made of all sorts of doughs and toppings, and it’s pretty big and cheap($ 2.50). Overall a good experience. The atmosphere was nice. Cookie boxes decorated by patrons adorn the walls, with designs ranging from clever to downright artistic. It was late at night and the baker was busy, but he managed to be friendly in spite of that.
