Greater Lafayette Islamic Center

We visited this place as part of a class on Racial and Ethnic Diversity. It was interesting to learn about a different type of culture here. The guy who runs the center was very informative and open to fielding questions. Our tour took place during the Iraq War (Operation Iraqi Freedom) so radical Islam was a hot topic. The center director was open about the topic and fully willing to answer our questions about their beliefs and about terrorism. I would give this place more stars but they didn’t have many artifacts or as many informative displays as the black cultural center does so it wasn’t as informative. However, if you are interested in learning more about Islamic culture, I would encourage you to stop by.
