Man, this is my favorite place to eat in the union. I prefer it to Flatbreads because I feel you are getting more for your buck. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. Out of my years coming here while at Purdue, I’ve never had a bad experience with them. My only peeve is that they aren’t open as much as I like, closed on weekends and one of the first to close on Fridays. My recommendations are the Monkey Wrap and BLT. For their coffee and espresso drinks, it’s a hit or miss. Their coffee is always great, but at times their espresso drinks come out funny, like not letting cappuccinos aerate enough or letting shots die. It’s all good though.

I love stopping by Oasis for a quick bite in the Union between classes! It’s a great place to study too if you don’t find the noise. The line can be a bit long at high lunch time but it moves pretty fast and the workers are really friendly! They seriously have the BEST music playing all of the time! Favorite meal is the chicken caesar wrap or the breakfast croissant! Pretty affordable! Also skip the Starbucks line and come here!

I like this place. They have a lot of seating and you can set up shop and study or get work done. Their fiery ranch wrap is really good. It’s basically just a buffalo chicken wrap. All their sandwiches come with a bag of chips or fruit, which is nice and they’re moderately priced compared to other places in the union. I usually come here because they serve their breakfast sandwiches all day and they have gouda cheese. They’re not open during the summer months though, which is a huge bummer for grad students.

I thought the coffee here was just as good as Starbucks. I needed coffee fast, and the problem with Starbucks is their us always such a long line. I didn’t have time for that, so I went here. I was in and out within 5 minutes and the service was quick, and employees were pleasant. The iced coffee was great!

I like the sandwiches but you sure don’t get much for what you pay for. Their wraps only contain a few chunks of meat. It’s mainly lettuce and tortilla. My only other complaint is that they screw up orders a lot. Half the time they don’t heat the meat long enough so it’s still cold.

I go here sometimes for breakfast. Their breakfast bagel is usually what I get and it’s pretty solid. I had a wrap one time as well that was quite good. I really enjoy the music selection they usually have playing. It’s not a bad place to sit and work/study in the mornings.

You have to go into this place with a mental check list in mind. Checking them off as YOU make sure that they have gotten it right. If you forget something, well honey, no one will be reminding you. For example, do you not want mayo on your sandwich. You should probably be patrolling that. You wanted to switch the wrap for whole wheat bread? You should REALLY be on top of them. One time, they had to make my sandwich so many times from getting it wrong over and over again that they offered free soup. Lucky for them, I had already paid for said soup, which they ALSO had forgotten to give me. Next on your check list: Did you get a sandwich? Then you get either free chips or free fruit. Again, no one will remind you. So just go ahead and grab it yourself. I’m not sure if people don’t know about this, or they just don’t like extras, but I never see anyone grab theirs. Okay, onto the good — The sandwiches are alright(although I usually end up getting the super plain three grilled cheese sandwich), and in my opinion better than other sandwich options in the union. Sometimes good music. Soda water in the soda machine. Staff is friendly, if forgetful.

Some of the best sandwiches in the area in my opinion. It gets crowded at lunch time so you’ll be waiting in line for a bit and you might not be able to find a table to sit down. I have been told the wraps and smoothies are really good but I haven’t have a chance to try them yet but I will soon…

I was sad I didn’t find the Oasis sooner, when I did find it. My English professor would hold group meetings here, and I think a lot of other English classes did that as well. That’s how I actually heard about it. Located at the back of the Student Union, it’s a little hard to find if you’re unfamiliar with the place. But with all the new renovations they may have created another hallway to it. Wooden walls, and wooden floors. Tables and booths surround this coffee house and deli. They serve smoothies to coffees and everything in between, small sandwiches and soups. They always have funky music playing and kind of reminds me of a place designed for the laid back hippy hang out crowd. They kind of have weird hours, so check before you go. I think they’re closed on Sundays, and they close early-ish in the evenings. A great place to stop in between classes, or if you don’t mind having a semi-noisy place to study.
