I enjoy exploring new wineries and have been to many, many all over Oregon. This is the worst winery I have ever been to. This winery has absolutely no personality and all they do is pump out wine without any sense of pride whatsoever. I went there on a Sunday and was herded through by the winemaker and his mother. This is the first time I’ve been served tastes by the winemaker who doesn’t say anything about the wine. He had nothing to say. The taste menu was something like 15 wines, which is great if you are looking to get buzzed. The wine tasted like vinegar and it was obvious that they just make any and all wine that they can, regardless of quality. On top of it, they’re rude and seem to want you to leave as soon as possible. This place is a disgrace to Oregon wine.

Wow, what can I say? I’m so disappointed. I am here at a wedding that my friends paid Oswego Hills quite a bit of money to have until 10 pm. However, Oswego Hills decide to break all tables and chairs up at 8:30 pm, only leaving a few chairs & tables out. There were over 100 guests. This all happening while people danced. Where were people going to sit when their feet hurt, like myself? I came to sit for a rest and discovered my piece of cake I was saving to eat was gone. The staff were like vultures lurking over us, moving purses and jackets, to break down tables/chairs. My husband and I felt the pressure to leave so that they could clean up. When I asked one of the staff why they were breaking up so early, they said they needed to set up for another event. Um, it’s 8:30 pm, and the bride paid for the venue until 10 pm. She did NOT pay to have the owners with big black trash bags walking in between guests looking for trash and young staff(probably their grandkids) to be touching people’s personal things and moving them. When another guest tried to sit next to me, one staff member took the chair right from under him! I firmly asked them if they could please leave some chairs for people to sit on and rest. The young staff proceeded to mock me by placing 20 plus chairs all around me, thus trapping me. I told them they were immature and I knew what they were doing. Then they moved the chairs. Why would they taunt guests like this? I’m a 37 year old mother and wife that does not deserve to be treated as such. Many guests were complaining they couldn’t find their purses, wallets, and cell phones, only to find them later thrown in a bunch on the last few tables remaining. Guests also agreed that they were feeling rushed. Shame on Oswego Hills for making guests feel uncomfortable at a beautiful wedding. I’m all about supporting local businesses, but you lost our support.

Oswego Hills Winery is a very accessible winery to Portland Burbs. The scenery is impeccable. You really can’t beat the view of rolling hills, acres of grapes and well manicured landscapes. I’ve never seen a more diverse and inexpensive tasting fee, big thumbs up for that. Now to the bad news– I came here with friends because we live in West Linn and have children and had been told this was a nice place for kids while adults indulged. Well, as soon as I walked in, there was a crass older women who didn’t care to greet me. I was the only one in the tasting room with my son. Clearly, I’m not here to look at bowls filled with corks; I am here to enjoy the wine. She asks me after a few minutes” can I HELP you?!?” Like I was doing something wrong. I said«I’m sorry, are you guys not open yet?» She said«we are, are you here to taste??». Ok, yeah. Anyway, to make a long story short, I said I had never been here and asked for a run down. She looks me up and down, checks out my very well behaved 3 year old son and said«well just make yourself comfortable». Ok then. After doing just that, I was walking around with my son. There is a gator on the property near the tasting area. My son knows not to go into heavy machinery, I reiterated that and yet, she comes marching out yelling over top of customers«HESNOTALLOWEDINTHEGATOR!». He wasn’t in it, not even close. He was counting the tires. She had her grandson(?) with her whom she vocally said he had CP. He was so sweet, played with my son, but as soon as he got dirty(GASP!!!) she marches over to him and forcefully removed him from playing. We were all a bit disturbed as this is no way to handle ANY child. I clearly didn’t look like a big spender to her. Looks can be deceiving. I bought 3 bottles of wine which may not be enough to satisfy the stuck up attitude. I’ve lived in the area all my life. I’ve traveled to Napa Valley 5x, and often do Willamette Valley tastings. I am reassured why I avoided this place. Another lost cause in Lake Oswego/West Linn.

Beautiful setting! Tasting room was nicely decorated for Christmas! Tasting fee was $ 10 but well worth it for the numbers of wine. Also it’s applied toward your wine purchase. Our favorite red was the Syrah! They packaged our purchase for us to check as luggage!

Fabulous wines(LOVE the Chardonnay. & Petit Syrah). The owners /vintners serve your tastings, explain their winemaking processes as you go. We will be back !(Despite the fact that we are from DC…)

This winery boasts a beautiful property, attentive staff and a large selection of wine. It is in a great location for city dwellers who do not want to drive to Dundee. My husband and I were wine club members, but dropped it when we moved from Tualatin to Newberg last year. They are only open for a few hours on Sundays, so it was unlikely we would go our of our way for limited hours when there are so many equally good wineries much closer to us. If you live close to the winery, it is very family oriented, a great place to bring kids and relax.

I am hooked, and I dont even really drink wine. My girlfriend had been wanting to go wine tasting for quite a while so she finally got me to go. I was really suprised at how enjoyable it was. The winemaker and owners are very nice and knowledgeable and always willing to answer questions. I just wish they would be open on Saturdays! I went for the first time in aug and have been back 4 times already. Great way to spend an afternoon!

Thanksgiving weekend tasting with gentle afternoons and talented live music. A wonderful hillside location to enjoy great wines. A welcoming casual wine tasting without the belly up to the bar and pressure to buy and move along.

Amazing winery with a great selection of wines that are sure to please all palates. Both the owner and winemaker are generous and friendly men who love what they do. And they never charge a tasting fee! My only gripe is that they’re not open enough– just sundays.

I went to this winery on a whim. I had driven by it many times and it is close to home but I never stopped. I had tried their wine before and was impressed but I never stopped in because I expected outrageous tasting and wine prices. We stopped in yesterday and were pleasantly surprised. This place is gorgeous. The two owners and the wine maker were the ones pouring the wines. They were extremely friendly and inviting. They poured about 8 wines with no tasting fee. The wine was priced very reasonable especially for the great quality. The tasting room was beautiful and big. This would be great on a rainy day and the covered crush pad would be perfect for a nice sunny day. I highly recommend this winery. The people are very friendly, it’s beautiful, and the wine is great.
