Vida Nails

Terrible. Where do I start? Owner charged another customer $ 1 for a nail kit. She charged me $ 3 for just the cheap exfoliating block. She personally did my manicure and did almost everything wrong she could have. Filed my nails very crooked. Polish all over on some nails/​fingers and on others the entire nail wasn’t even covered. Globs of polish. When I asked her to clean it up a bit, her responses was, «What did you do???» That was her chance to make it right. She cleaned up just one nail. I could have done a better job with my eyes closed. The gentleman was nice and he took his time with the French on my toes. Unfortunately, the lines were very crooked. I appreciated his effort.
Then I made the terrible mistake of letting her wax my eyebrows. I’m not sure if the wax was cheap or not hot enough but I could tell when she pulled it off that absolutely no hair came off. I was right — my eyebrows looked unchanged but I was thankful she didn’t have access to good wax to do some real damage.
I’ve had some bad experiences over the years but this takes the cake and from the owner of all people! I’m questioning whether she actually has her license. She should be ashamed for trying to rip people off like that. The salon wasn’t even busy nor was it close to closing time. She just didn’t give a darn and expected more money for terrible service. Take your business elsewhere!

Worst waxing I’ve ever had. I went back to have someone redo it and they were going to charge me! Terrible place. «Van» seems like a scam artist. Told me she would give me a deal… But not to tell the man up front… When I went back I was told they all work for themselves. Very low quality for West Linn.

This place gave me the worst manicure of my life and on my wedding day! Literally a three year old could have done a better job. I was I tears when I left, but ended up just having to laugh. Unfortunately it was also a gel manicure so I couldn’t easily remove it. Vida is super close to my house but will never get my money again.

Barely got a foot massage, and a very sloppy polish job, and then they kicked me out of the chair in less than 30 minutes. Took my daughter too and I think she could have done a better job polishing her own nails.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. Went here for a Mother’s Day outing and was in and out in 30 mins. Worse massage ever, didn’t scrub my heals and the worst flower design ever. What a waste of time and money!!!

My mom, sisters and I went to this salon all at the same time for a mani-​pedi treatment and we had an appointment. I had to wait a little while for mine, but the man who did my acrylic fill and pedicure did a great job. He gave a great massage and I felt really relaxed!
The place was clean and did not smell too fumey.
All the lines they painted were really straight and clean. My sisters manicure was just amazing!
I didn’t get exactly what I wanted in my mani, but I think the manicurists interpretation of the picture I showed him is close enough.
My other sister said she felt rushed by her tech and there was a brush hair in her acrylic set, and the tech hurriedly filed it down and redid the nail, but it looked darker than the rest.
I think the place is overall good, but a bit of a mixed bag. I would go again for another foot rub, though! Oh my god!
Also, I don’t know if it is normal, but the massage chairs have this weird setting that literally feels like it is trying to punch your butthole– you’ve been warned!

Tried Vida for the first time on a Sunday. The nail tech filed my toenail so violently that she sliced the side of my toe with the edge of the file. I was in pain the entire treatment. She barely apologized and continued on. I felt the need to stare at everything she did to make sure I was not injured again.
I will not be returning.

I’ve been coming to Vida Nails for over 6 months now and will continue to come back. First of all I love that they are open on Sundays as that seems to be the day I always want a pedicure or manicure and a lot of other places aren’t open. Also — they are good about keeping appointment times when my friends and I want to go in together so we don’t have to wait.
The place is always clean and the staff is friendly and do a great job with massage on the pedicures.

I have been to Vida Nails three times and two out of the three were blissful. Two times Vinh (Vin) was my technician and it was on a Sunday afternoon. It’s quiet and relaxing and she does a great job. Very sweet person. One other time I went on a Tuesday and she was off and I tried someone else. The whole experience was different: noisy, lots of talk among technicians, nails chipped next day, etc.
But I will be sure and ask for Vinh and aim for a Sunday afternoon. A total treat! Also, I met Rose and I would recommend her too.

Top notch. Clean & pretty salon. Friendly staff. Good prices. Large selection of OPI polish. My feet and toes are happy!
