Great salad except they never chop the onions or the chicken … Rude staff food is mostly good when drunk lol

Order delivery tonight, got a few sandwiches, and a «combo» for an appetizer. The app was 2 chicken fingers, 2 jalapeño poppers, and 2 mozzarella sticks for $ 9! I understand I’m ordering «snacks» but the price is a bit steep. If that wasn’t bad enough they charged us an extra 75¢ to put regular French fries on our sandwich instead of the curly fries it came with. Just disappointed.

Nelly’s is dead to me. Stopped in relatively sober (for once!) after a concert– ordered a slice of pizza and split a fat Darryl with my bf. I couldn’t finish the pizza because it didn’t taste good– and I never met a slice a pizza I didn’t like. The sandwich was not tasty as well but we ate it because we were hungry.
Bad decision. Within 1 – 2 hours we were both violently ill and hugging the toilet.
We used to come here frequently over the years but NEVER AGAIN. avoid!

Used to eat Nellys all of the time when I was a Monmouth student, but never again. I ate a cheesesteak one night and woke up the next day puking and dumping nonstop. Their food definitely messed me up because I haven’t had an episode like that since. Then I learned they had failed a sanitary inspection awhile back. Just avoid.

Our go to after the beach. Reasonably price fat sandwiches. And they come in various combinations of food you can find the perfect fat sandwich for you. I got the fat tke. Too much fries which took away from the flavoring of the other things inside of the sandwich. But overall good food.

I ordered 2 hours ago and I’m still waiting. I called after about an hour and they said it would be 10 more mins. I waited and waited… called back… They said they never got my online order, even though I received the confirmation email from them and PayPal. They are just now starting my order from 11:15 at 1:30 am.

Placed a phone order & expected pick up time was ten minutes, got to the location in about 15 minutes, the location was empty of other customers & I still continued to wait 5 more minutes after settling my tab. The sandwich ordered was a buffalo chicken strip, lettuce, hot sauce & ranch. The sandwich received was just as I ordered but not with the expectations of pictures on this site or the price vs quality expectation of the sandwich. I asked what the price of the sandwich was since it only had 2 small (2inches x .05×4), flat, lack of crunch chicken strips under a pile of lettuce. The sandwich was a foot long. The cashier stated $ 8.50. Shocked about the quality received for such a price, I asked if this is a way the sandwich is always made & when he stated yes without asking me if he could fix it in anyways (a typical response of a promising business) I obtained my refund & left… hungry. Not that I ordered the pizza there in the glass display, but it looked like it was made yesterday at the very least & rubberized by then. I would never recommend this place. & I do t judge as being a hole in the wall, but maybe I should.

Ehhhhh my boyfriend kept bringing nellys up and I finally gave in. I got a buffalo slice which were mediocre, the only place I’ve ever had buffalo with tomato sauce, a white slice which was good and an order of ten wings. Wings were gross, over cooked and the sauce was weird. I even had my bf try them bc he would tell me I was being picky but he agreed and we actually threw them out. He got two fat sandwiches which of course he was fine with. But he even said yeah we shouldn’t have went there. Def only good if your drunk!

Oh baby this place is the cat’s pajamas! We ordered a small cheese pizza and the fat Chadwick and were blown away. The pizza was thin but not cracker thin like Val’s Rumson. The fat Chadwick was stuffed to the max and the bread tasted really nice and fresh. Next time we order we’ll get the same thing since it was so good except instead of a small pizza definitely a large!

We’ve always heard how good this place is so we had to try it. None of us were happy with their food. We gave it another chance and again, the food wasn’t very good. We had heard so many good things that we decided to give it one last try. Again, the food was not that good. We ordered different things every time and just don’t understand all the good reviews.

An awesome place… and the place to go in West Long Branch. A huge menu with a lot of options, but for me its either the pizza or a fat sandwhich.

There fat sandwiches are the best! Drunk or sober this place makes the most unique sandwiches ever! The Pizza is pretty good too but the fat sandwiches are what u go for. My recommendation is a fat blunt which is chicken fingers mozzarella sticks french fries lettuce tomato honey mustard and ketchup

I really enjoy this place. I have only ordered delivery but still very much enjoyed it. My favorite part is that they deliver late! It helps with my late night pizza cravings!
So far I have tried their mozzarella sticks, pizza, and fries and I have re-​ordered the same because it is so good!

So I ordered a Chicken and Pineapple pizza, small, and Jalepeno poppers with honey mustard, and mozzarella sticks. I ordered this at 1am. I understand that there is a drunk crowd, and I used to be part of it, but I ordered from here about once a week. Normally their food is great. Here is why they are getting one star from me. The delivery driver last night called me and «had no idea where he was going» When I tried to explain to him he said he knew and hung up. Ten minutes later he called back and said he was lost and he could not find my address. I live on a main road. He said he would be another ten minutes. When he finally got to my house it was 3am. I didn’t think to check the food. I signed my receipts and went inside. The sauce was poured all over everything. It was so bad the brown paper bag fell apart and the plastic bag leaked all over the house. They didn’t give me honey mustard either. When I called to see what they can do about it they told me to let their driver bring me new food. I wound up driving my food there because of their incompetent driver, and picking up my new food. I wound up with 2 marinara, no honey mustard. So I get home. I took a glance at the pizza when I first got it, I knew it was cold but I really hate complaining because this was one of my favorite places to get food from. The strombolis are awesome. Well I than realized that this driver or who ever else he may have been with, picked chicken and pineapple off of my pizza. Anger is an understatement. I texted the kid, he called my cell so I had his cell #, and I asked why would you do this. I work a lot and I don’t have time for this. The customer service I received was horrible. The delivery. HORRIBLE!!! do not EVER get delivery from here. If its worth it to you or if you are drunk, its a great place to eat at, but I no longer am ordering from here. $ 36 for me having to wait 2 hours and receive freezing cold ruined food.

Fat sandwiches used to be very good. The last three times I have eaten here it has been pretty bad. Not sure if it’s a new cook or poor quality food but they are not as good as before.

Cheap, and good for the price. You get what you pay for. I ordered a combo, not a lot of food, honestly. I only ordered an appetizer sampler. Came hot and crispy for delivery. The fried poppers with cream cheese was great! The mushrooms, eh. The mozz. sticks were decent.

Nellys is one of those places when you know the amount of food you are about to consume will hold you off until next week. FAT CHADWICK is my favorite, and that is one of many. Great pizza very Late delivery., I wish the drivers could be a bit quicker. But that does not generalize all of them. Mike was very on point every time he delivers. After 11 its between Here and another spot in west end but all in all every time I hit this spot its legendary

See as a Rutgers Alum I am supposed to HATE Nelly’s for «Stealing» the idea of the Grease Trucks concepts and running it somewhere else. I don’t.
Take all the creative concepts at the Rutgers locations in other words the spots on Easton ave. Expand the menu! Like super size the menu. They aren’t picky here when they first decided to expland the menu it seems they let any one and everyone pick a sandwich name!
Which I think is great.
Sure the purists might say the food comes from a frozen source but Nelly puts love into these babies. Also these have an option and a touch not available at Rutgers. The sandwiches can come with curly fries instead of regular fries.
I’ll have to say this as a fan on the New Brunswick food scene and probably the biggest fan of the grease trucks EVER!
Sorry Rutgers! Nelly’s beat you at your own game.

If any type of food sums up what the Jersey shore /​New Jersey is like, it is the Fat Sandwich.
If you take a look at the wall menu, most of it is covered with every possible combination of a fat sandwich. A sandwich full of mozzarella sticks, french fries, chicken fingers, meat ball, gyro meat, ketchup, lettuce and more meat! Basically anything you like all in one sandwich. Sandwich bliss! Only come here if you are in the mood to eat a lot. You’ve been warned but you will enjoy!
