Upon entering the café I specifically looked for the sign that says seat yourself, or wait to be seated. Today the sign read wait to be seated. So I waited, and waited, and waited. Enough time for 5 people to come to the register and pay for their food. Eventually I asked one of the waitresses whether or not I was actually supposed to seat myself. Her response was that she thought I was waiting to pay for my food. First, why would I stand there for 10 minutes while 5 other people pay for their food, waiting to pay for my food? And second, wouldn’t you think she’d notice that I haven’t been sitting at a table yet, or at least one of the 3 waitresses that were waiting on tables? The restaurant was only half full, and there were plenty of seats. The food was less than stellar. It was hamburger steak and I had the cabbage, mashed potatoes and cabbage. I ate the entire hamburger, but only about half of each of the sides. Also, I asked for a roll, but they brought me a biscuit. The waitress also had a strong cough and she attempted to put her shoulder over her mouth, but I’m doubtful that none of her cough wound up on my food. Overall, my experience was not good. When this restaurant was called Granny’s, it was one of the best in West Memphis, and always packed. Now it’s mediocre, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

Here for breakfast. Although probably popular with locals, this is not a destination spot. The building is clean but very much in need of maintenance and repair. Our booth table wobbled and the vinyl on the benches showed lots of wear. These reviews are hard to write because the staff was hard working and very friendly. Our basic breakfast food, including hash browns with melted cheese and grilled onions, came hot. Our over easy eggs were a little runny, but that comes with the style sometimes. All in all, a Waffle House breakfast with a tad less atmosphere.

Amazing food! Pancakes were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Biscuits were melt in your mouth awesome.

Yummy food and friendly service. Loved it! The staff was very friendly from the moment we walked in the door. OJ was good and cold. I ordered the Western Omelette(omg good — and I don’t normally like all the stuff in my omelette!). Hubby ordered the ham and cheese omelette, and the kids ordered the egg and sausage plates. Everything was wonderful and cooked just right. Hash browns needed no salt, according to my picky teen. Bacon was just right — not too chewy, but not burnt, which hard to get!

It’s a great local place. For breakfast have the pancakes. If you want a good hamburger you can go wrong. Don’t be in a hurry everything is made to order.
