This is the Flying J that time forgot. It just seemed very ill ran. The pump didn’t work, they couldn’t get the CC machine to work, we had to go back into the register several times, and ended up being late for a meeting. The first pump was ancient, the face looked like it was about to fall off. It wouldn’t pump at all. At the second pump we pre approved a certain amount of money from the inside on our CC to pump, and it slowly pumped a $ 1.06 worth of diesel and then died… the whole console of that pump was extremely dirty and ready to fall off too. We went back in to tell them and get a refund, and instead of saying«I’m sorry, let me get you a receipt and fix it» they just kept tell us «It will only charge you that $ 1.06!» and extremely curt and rudely I might add. We also bought a box of donuts that were disgusting. they were dry and the glaze was almost all gone off of them from sweating in the box(gross). There was a couple nice people working at the coffee machines and such, but not behind the registers!

$ 3.15 per gallon. I crossed the Mississippi River from Memphis to save money on gasoline…$ 3.49 in Memphis and $ 3.15 in West Memphis… no brainer. The store was typical trucker gasoline station with all the necessary needs for a road trip or last minute pick ups for the home while getting gasoline. They also have a full size Denny’s. I would go here again.

We stopped to use the restrooms and fill up with gas. I am convinced that every place in the whole Memphis area has bathrooms that are disgusting and that is just normal for people in that area. The gas prices are nice and I recommend using a Pilot/Flying J Loyalty card because it takes a few cents off each gallon of gas. On the receipt they also offer an 99cent 16Oz cup of coffee.

1 star because it won’t let you give a place no stars. I went to the Denny’s inside this truck stop and was more than disappointed. You couldn’t get service if you were waving hundred dollar bills. It took 10 mins just to get a seat at the bar(they were dead), almost 15 mins to have someone take my order, and the rest of the time I was there I never saw any waiters again(They must have all been outside smoking). I couldn’t find anybody to refill my tea and had to hunt someone down just to get my check. Paying the bill was a whole fiasco in itself. The cashier was dumber than my 6 year old who is in kindergarten! Not to mention that the patrons and employees in the Denny’s were so ghetto, I was embarrassed for them. How could any self respecting human act like that? All in all I will NEVER go back to that Denny’s!!!
