I’m 35 and Howard’s has been a fixture of the West Memphis landscape with their iconic sign ever since I was a kid. Never change!

Best donuts I have ever had… and I’ve had a lot of donuts. They all looked so good that my wife and I ended up getting way too many. The service was great. Anyone in the area must go!

Was stopping in WM for the evening on vacation. Saw this place open at 5 pm and had to stop. Grabbed a couple of donuts and headed back to hotel. They were so awesome we went back in he morning. The cases were full with every sort of donut imaginable. So glad I stopped.

This place has… wait for it, wait for it… awesome DO nuts!!! My wife always calls ahead as we are passing through for the highly coveted Hawaiian Delights. They usually sell out very early of this specialty dounut which has a pineapple and coconut taste to it. These doughnuts are the only touch of paradise in West Memphis. I try to eat them really slow to forget I’m in this armpit of a city. The coconut doughnut is another fabulous choice. My only qualm with Howard’s is the restroom… it really needs some attention. My advice though is go for the doughnuts as a way to forget that you are in West Memphis… the doughnuts are really, really good!!!

Probably the only jewel of west Memphis! The powdered sugar, cinnamon sugar donuts are wonderful along with the Carmel donut… We got there at 9pm, and there was still a pretty good selection of fresh donuts. Their hours are 6am to 11pm daily. So if your driving thru stop and get yourself a sweet treat!

I usually don’t trust elderly white people in Confederate states, and this place is full of them — however, I somehow happened upon this place on a long-distance drive when I stopped to get gas. I tried a donut and the rest is history. I’ve been there three times and transported their donuts across multiple state lines.

Delicious donuts. All that I tried were delicious. Red Velvet Blueberry cake Coconut Choc. with cream cheese filling Place was busy, but the staff was willing to take time to explain the different donuts since this was my first time. I asked about a Bavarian Crème. She said none on display, but she could make one if I want. She was ready to go in the back and fill one. With the long line, I opted to just get what was on display. Nice to have a non chain donut store that makes good donuts.

I’m never moving to the vicinity of Memphis, not because it has one of the highest crime rates in the country*, but because the doughnuts at Howard’s DO Nuts are a crime in and of themselves. My sister in law told me about this place and I was kind of skeptical at first. Skeptical and craving a jelly donut. I checked out Howard’s Unilocal page and my skepticism began to fade. I wanted one but they were closed for Thanksgiving, ugh. So I waited patiently, like a small child on Christmas**, for morning to come so I could rush to Howards for some family made doughnuts. When I awoke there were 6 dozen doughnut holes sitting on the kitchen counter. I proceeded to eat roughly 1 to 2 dozen*** of the most wonderful glazed doughnut holes I have ever scarfed down. The story doesn’t end there. About 3 hours and 24 donut holes later I found myself wanting more. I wanted the cinnamon roll & a jelly doughnut. My sister in law was more than willing to aide me in acquiring diabetes. She brought me back the jelly doughnut and cinnamon roll… And a glazed donut topped with cream. How long did they last from when she sat those sweet, loving donuts down on the table? Not very long. Probably about 1 minute. Not an exaggeration by any means. If it makes me look a little less disgusting I did share my cinnamon bun and glazed donut. They were all so good. So fresh, so soft. The glaze was perfect. Not single thing I’d change about these doughnuts. Even the price was outrageously reasonable. Another reviewer mentioned New York City’s Doughnut Plant in his review, and while I do love those doughnuts I don’t indulge myself very often because of the hefty price tag. Seriously though, I’m never moving anywhere near Howard’s DO Nuts. That place is a doughnut away from a heart attack. So… very…good. I think Homer Simpson ordered those. That would explain a lot. —- *I’ve decided that the crime rate and the awesomeness of Howard’s Do NUTS have a positive correlation. The better the doughnuts at Howard’s get, the higher the crime rate is. This may or may not have something to do with law enforcement spending most of their time indulging in a doughnut rather than policing the vicinity of Memphis. **When I referred to myself being as patient as a «small child on Christmas» I really meant I constantly(ahem, annoyingly) inquiring about what time Howard’s would open on Friday morning, what type of doughnuts were the best, how many doughnuts I should/would/could eat… etc. ***I say roughly, because I kind of came up with the brilliant idea that if there were two(or more) doughnut holes stuck together it would only count as one. Genius.

Very unassuming sign outside. Spectacular fresh donuts inside. Red Velvet Donut with Cream Cheese Frosting.(honest my tummy is rumbling right now) I also got to taste my husbands Custard Turnover. Yummy custard. The only thing I don’t like is the tip cup on the counter. All you are doing is putting a donut in the bag, do I really gotta tip you for that?

Amazing doughnuts that are cheap, innovative, and mood-elevators. I had the caramel cinnamon bun doughnut and the cream-on top chocolate. They were amazing. Definitely the 2nd best doughnuts I’ve ever had.(The first being the Doughnut Plant in Manhattan). But this clearly beats all your typical run of the mill doughnuts. It was definitely worth the trip out to Arkansas to try them out. We heard about them through word of mouth.

These people make fresh doughnuts every day and you sure can tell. I drove all over this small town looking for something local and this was the only place still open. I am glad they have not been pushed out of town. If you are in this place go and taste a real great doughnut.
