Our Christmas tradition is to go to the truck stop in West Memphis for breakfast. We do this, so my parents can focus on cooking Christmas lunch rather than both lunch and dinner. The service is always good on Christmas(I’ve never been at another time). The food is ok. We get the buffet, so it depends on how fresh the food is as to the quality. This past Christmas it was very fresh. they have sausage, smoked sausage, bacon, eggs, biscuits, grits, gray, hashbrowns, fruit, french toast, and more. In general, it’s a typical buffet, but it’s our tradition.

Okay I thought I’d try again. …MISTAKE! There was a brownie on the bar and I asked the waitress if I could just get it. She was cool with that, I also ordered a reuben. First of all a reuben is made on rye bread with sauerkraut and SWISS cheese. They brought a sandwich on sourdough bread with American and no kraut??? Basically a corned beef and cheese sandwich. YUCK I ate half cuz I was hungry as for the brownie I took 1 bite and left it horrible I will not try again.

Horrible service, constantly ignored when needing a simple refill. The cashier is extremely rude. She is the girl with a very raspy voice and lots of freckles I’ll never eat here again.

Stopped for breakfast on our way out of town. Food was okay — pretty average, as was the coffee. Service was okay, a bit slow but friendly. But I subtract one star for having Fox news on the TV.

over price but as good as it gets for a truck stop diner.

Service was second to none. I was a little miffed my father in law chose a truck stop but it was actually pretty good. Chicken fried steak was huge. We were gonna split it so got a double order. Ugh no way one was plenty for 2 people. Decent salad bar, very good veggie beef soup. Definitely worth the stop on a road trip.

I chose Iron Skillet because it was near the hotel. I ordered the catfish dinner which came with a ton of food for a great price! The fish was perfectly cooked.

I know it’s strange to go to a fuel kiosk for dinner. But that was right next door to our motel, and it was already 9 pm. So we ended up at the Iron Skillet Restaurant at the PETRO fuel kiosk. My husand had a half lb burger without the bun. I had 1 lb top sirlion steak with bake potato. The BEST bake potato I have ever eaten, the steak was super good also. Our meals both came with a trip to the soup and salad bar. The food was excellent, the service was outstanding. The waitress came by at least 10 time to ask us what can she get for us. She was super pleasant. 1 lb Top Sirlion Steak $ 12.99 8 oz Burger without the bun $ 8.99 Definately, it was a great meal.
