Shoney’s just isn’t what it use to be or either I expect more when I dine out now. Service — Started out wrong by bringing us plastic forks and spoons. I asked what happened to to real silverware. I get an excuse of they were busy and behind. Blah Blah Blah. I don’t care… bring me some silverware. The waitress also had a «I could care less» attitude. Atmosphere — We sat in the back room. The back room also evidently doubles as a meat locker or a refigerator as it was freezing in there. I heard two other tables ask if they could turn down the thermostat. The waitress said she could not adjust the thermostat. In hopes that there would be strength in numbers I asked too. I also got the same answer. Food — For a buffet it was OK. Nothing special, but I knew going in what to expect. It also seems like that if you aren’t ordering the buffet then it’s a putoff of sort to the waitress. They almost make it crazy not to order the buffet though with it being cheaper than most everything else on the menu.

Great for Breakfast. I am not sure I would eat here any other time. Breakfast buffet is fresh and cheap. I am not from the south so this place reminds me a lot of JB’s in Arizona. This was a few hundred feet from my hotel and sure beats the free muffins and milk they offer.
