Not going back. Love all the bartenders except one. The food time was over an hour. He literally argues saying it was 22 minutes. Yes maybe 22 minutes from the time he remembered to put it in. He was out of it. So our food was given to another patron and I literally watched him pick up my food and smell it. The bartender then proceeded to give it to me and I refused it. He asked who was going to pay for it INSTEADOFAPOLOGIZINGOROFFERING A NEWPLATE and I said ya know what I will. Please close me out. It was humiliating. The previous times my bf and i went when he would«buyback» he would say… «next drink on me but only one of yours» I’ve never ever heard of that. I bartended in philly and know customer service counts for repeat customers. Love the rest of the staff. Ricky is awesome as well as the other girls. Its a shame because the other staff is wonderful but the way i was treated i will be supporting other local businesses unless i find out that bartender is gone. He doesn’t belong behind the bar. not giving my money to this establishment again.

Had the garlic parmigiana chicken wings the first time and they were great. Went there two more times and ordered them and they were horrible. Good place just got a quick burger

Warm flat beer. Beef stew that is basically diarrhea with shredded meat in it. Mushy salad greens. Decent fries and the bottled beer are the safest bets. Actually just stay home and eat out of your neighbors trash can for a better meal. Our waiter was very nice though.

First time visit for me and my husband. We ordered a appetizer, dinner and a beer. The portion was big and filling. The food was delicious. The price was fair. I recommend this place.

I sometimes expect more from places so local. Inside is pleasant enough. Food is good. Red wine selection definetly needs work. I mean imports from south America are available even here. Anyway, a nice place if you are not expecting to see a lot of anything new. Oh yea, can someone get some WiFi going?

I stopped in recently because it happened to be the only restaurant available that day. I never had a really great experience in the past, kind of mediocre I’d say. But they have a new chef, and that man can cook! I had a ribeye, which I initially thought was a bit expensive for this place. But it came out perfectly prepared, so juicy and delicious! I’ve eaten there since, and the food is still wonderful. A really pleasant surprise. West Milford needs more high quality food places.

Just went to check it after hearing about the recent updates. Meh. Not much difference other than increase in prices. I gave it 3 and half stars for value as an average town pub before, but now not even the value is there, so there it is. They need to invite an interior decorator the move the energy around. The pool table across from the door is not a good idea. Take a cue from Fratello’s in Warwick. That would help, because the food is OK and if you add ambiance, the prices would be justified. And you’d be packed. Also, side door to your small outdoor garden would be great in the summer. Put some small bistro tables(not picnic) there and clean the place up. I see potential, but you need to step it up.

Well things have changed here, they changed chefs a little while back. Blackened shrimp over rice appetizer was tasty, wife and i went simple with sandwich and a burger, which in our opinion, should be the easiest things to make. They turned a corner as far as we are concerned. Leaving the old review in case they regress to what they used to be … seems this place has closed down for not paying taxes according to the sign on the door. probably better off. food quality has plummeted since I have moved here 2 years ago. nostalgia keeps me coming back because it used to be good.

I’ve since eaten here a couple of more times and the food is just really not great, the only items I would recommend again is the hot open-faced turkey sandwich with real mashed potatos, and their fries. My son had their BBQRib appetizer and they were just gross! He has also had their mozzarella sticks which are pretty basic, my husband has had their burgers(basic, but okay). We have had the assorted appetizer plate(wings, mozz sticks and potato skins), it really was below average. Their service is okay, if it gets a little busy(i.e. more than 4 or 5 tables) the staff can get a bit frazzled.
