The Village Trading Post is a little gem of a corner store in West Minot, one of those places that’s reminiscent of easier, earlier times in history. I was recently in West Minot visiting family, and really enjoyed wandering into this store from time to time, indulging in their delicious (yet lard ridden) cookies, unreal whoopie pies (try pumpkin with cream cheese!), and perusing the shelves stuffed with basic necessities, like cereal, milk, books, videos, and beer. If you’re passing through this teeny town while in the lovely state of Maine, it’s definitely worth stopping in.
