Good curry! At first I thought three stars because the tray I was given had a hole as though it had been microwaved. My immediate reaction was this is going to suck. After sinking my teeth in the chicken and pairing it with the rice and cabbage the tray was irrelevant. Good stuff! The only reason I’m not giving five stars is because my expectations of customer service is above great. This is not to say they aren’t good but to get 5 you have to be above great.

Pretty good food for a reasonable price. Fairly authentic and certainly tasty. Call ahead, though, because the service is mercilessly slow.

I eat meat possibly once/twice a month… and when I do… I like to do it GOOD! So I was sad when the BBQ place that had some good oxtail in wo-town closed… then I went to the post office and saw taste of the caribbean! Yay! It took me a few months to get there… but… OK — so I wasn’t super impressed when I walked in. Good thing I was having take out. Oxtail take-out baby! I think the dishes are priced appropriately for the atmosphere — there are cookies and caribbean drinks/sodas too. Now the food… WOW! I WILL go back. My ‘small’ portion of oxtail was generous to say the least, and delicious. If that’s small($ 10) then large must feed a family. The rice and beans — delicious… even the cabbage. I couldn’t finish the huge portion and had leftovers as a second meal — STILL delicious. Not salty… bone-clean tender… so good. I may be a little tougher critic on other dishes(considering any oxtail that’s yum yum to me makes me super happy)…but at least I was impressed enough to go back and try other dishes. I hope this one sticks around so my bi-monthly cravings for meat can be satisfied with yum oxtail and a big helping of rice and beans!
