Bijou Nails

I went to this salon after a bad experience from another salon in Montclair. The people here are very friendly, and they diligently take their time to give you a very good spa pedicure experience. Their gel nail polish service is superb! When I had a nail polish accident after just a week, I just went back to them and they fixed & reapplied my polish for free. Now that’s good customer service! I definitely recommend this salon.

I have been here twice now and I only go here because it is so close to my house. The staff is nice enough but the place is just cramped and not as nice as the salons I’m used to going. The pedicure chairs are old and outdated. I caught a glimpse of sponges they use for cleaning the foot soaking tub and it did not look clean at all. Yes, the prices reflect this ($ 10 mani, $ 20 pedi), but I think I’d pay more to go to a nicer salon.

Brought my mom for a mani pedi so she’ll be ready for Mother’s Day. Rosa did her pedi but since it was time for her to go she zoomed through it and when my mom asked if she could use the scrub along with the police stone and she very nastily replied that she did it already followed by «what else do u want?»
My mom is so disappointed. Won’t be coming back :/

Awesome place, my nail tech did an awesome job, picked an amazing color for me and had me laughing the entire time. Great experience. Definitely Will be coming again :)

I Unilocaled for places near me that were open on Sundays and headed straight over. This is an efficient, clean, friendly place. The staff was welcoming and they gave me a very decent mani/​pedi. Would definitely recommend and will go there again.

Came on a Monday afternoon and got a gel manicure and pedicure in about 1 hour. The people very friendly. It wasn’t too crowded. I would definitely come back. Although they don’t have OPI gel, they do have other brands with just as many colors. They said if anything chips within 2 weeks, I can come back and get it fixed for free. So far so good!

I came here last friday to get my nails done. I didn’t call in before hand and just walked in. One of the workers was able to take me right away and handed me a huge bin full of nail polish colors to chose from. When she was done with my manicure I was so pleased! It was my first time getting gel and I don’t think I could ever go back to regular nail polish. She also massaged my hand and placed a warm towel on top of it, then put on lotion. It was a nice experience and the customer service was great. I’m definitely coming back! (Gel is $ 30)

Thanks to Sandy, the manager, Bijou Nails has redeemed themselves! After my last review, Sandy messaged me and apologized for the treatment I received. She offered to compensate me with a free gel polish service. Admittedly, while I LOVE free, I was a little hesitant as I didn’t think the service would be much different despite the «free». I still thought the service would be curt and basically unpleasant. I was wrong. Sandy was very pleasurable, way different than I had experienced (and observed) the last two times I had been to Bijou. I got a chance to talk with Sandy at length about her experience managing the store, etc. What I gleaned from our talk is that she is new to the whole managing thing, and that; while she is aware that she needs to learn a lot more about friendly customer service and running the place with as little stress as possible (sometimes her stress is palpable and shows in the way she talks to customers and employees), she is willing to learn and wants to improve. That last bit about wanting to improve is enough for me to continue patronizing (unless, of course, it never changes).
In addition, the work is good. Clean and well ventilated shop, premium pedicure services like the Shea Butter Spa Pedicure, a lot of color choices and nails that look great when you’re done. Definitely give them a try.

It’s a life journey to find the perfect nail salon or hair stylist who will magically transform everything you want in your mind to reality. I’ve been going to bijou after they remodeled with a fresh look. The owner does such an outstanding work as well as the other girls. They are all perfectionists when it comes to nails and toes. I highly recommend everyone who’s anyone to dive in for the perfect nails.

I just moved to the area and was looking for a nail salon. I went into this salon as I saw they had decent reviews. When my husband and I entered, no one greeted us and we were asked, what are you getting? I informed her a mani/​pedi for my husband and a fill-​in and pedicure for me.
In turn, I was told come back tomorrow.
It was 10:00 in the morning. I feel they did not want to provide service to me and my husband they shod have just said so.

Very nice place and clean. Appointments aren’t required I always just walk in. They always do a good job whenever I go. Definitely recommend this place one of the better nail salons in the area

I liked this place. I didn’t love but they I am not at all disappointed with the service… I walked in without an appointment and was seen as soon as I was done picking my color. I was seated with Emily, a sweet spanish girl, who was extremely quiet although she did speak English.
I started with a pedicure, which out of all the services I received was lacking. I asked her to slough off more skin after only grating for about 1 and ½ minutes, and she refused; saying that she was only softening the skin and it would come up with the scrub… not so. I still had a thin layer of callous when I was done but was extremely happy with the polish and shape. I definitely could have used a harder and longer massage however. My Manicure was pretty good although she could have done the shape a little better.
The best part of the visit was my waxing, which I am extremely happy with. She took her time, tweezing and waxing very small sections and really taking her time to make me happy. The price was good for everything. Eye and Lip wax, Mani and Pedi, all only $ 45.
After reading these other reviews, I am going to try Grace or Susan and see if I am happier with my nails.

I love it! I was trying out nail salons to see which did a better job for when prom comes around and I tried Bijou Nail Salon and it was great. At first I got a simple manicure and I showed my fried and she thought it was Gel! Also, I got a complimentary massage while I waited for my nails to dry. It was a wonderful experience and I will definitely get my nails done here for prom.

I have been a customer of Bijou for years now and I am always satisfied. Susan is amazing and the facility is clean and has an enjoyable atmosphere. They accept walk-​ins without barely any wait.

People here are really nice and they accept walk-​ins with never a long wait. My favorite is Grace! Prices are good too. Please note that not everyone is good. There’s one woman (non-​Asian) who is awful and I used to have to redo my nails after she’d done it. Grace was always generous enough to not schedule that person with me — ever.
