Yummy yummy yummy however their kitchen is very small and the wait time(even with a reservation, which was not honored) is a bit too long.

Love this place! Tastes like my Abuelita’s home cooking. I have brought family members to eat here from Spain and they loved it. Portions are excellent. The owner is awesome. Very comcerned about his customers. Last time we were there he sent over a complimentary«tres leches» cake for dessert. Great guy, great place!

Don Juan lives up to its seductive naming moniker. I am in loooove. I’m a foodie(come at my gut, bro!) and from my very first experience with Don Juan it’s been nothing but amazing. Great food, great prices, liquor license added, and charming intimate décor. It’s the best. Jewel of West Orange. If you’re reading this, then you’re seeing the same message from most of the other locals. GO. But don’t spread the word too far. Us local guys need to eat, too ;)

We truly love the food and atmosphere here. We’ve been here about a half dozen times and gotten take out as well. I can honestly say they never disappoint. This place is universally loved around town and for good reason. One thing to note, the place is SPOTLESS. You can eat off their floors which I mention because we have two littles ones under the age of three that tend to drop things like toys and crayons. We’ll be back soon!

My boyfriend and I decide to try this very local off the beaten path, looking for good Mexican/Hispanic food. The restaurant is very small and that’s totally ok. We were seated right away but we waited 10 minutes to get menus even though we were in plain sight of two servers and the manager/owner. After getting our menus we waited another 15 minutes to place our order while people sitting at the bar got appetizers and drinks right away. Now the food, menu is lacking for vegetarian options. I custom ordered my cheese and vegetable enchiladas and my boyfriend got some steak with tomato sauce on top and cheese. Weird. We try to order guac but we’re told that they were out of it but we heard another table order it and get it after us. Unfair. Here’s the worst part: Later that night my boyfriend had stomach issues(and you know what) but I got really sick and vomitted up EVERYTHING and felt so bad the rest of the night.

Love their veggie tacos!!! Love that sometimes they offer a delivery options. Just wish they’d hire a full time delivery driver so it would be dependable if I want take out/delivery. Like right this moment!

What a treat only a mile away, right in my hood! I drove by on a Friday night and could not find a parking place near enough for my walker. I returned at opening time on a weekday and was treated royally. I particularly enjoyed my three soft chicken tacos and the stunning flan — lovingly made, nothing out of a box. Those plus a cold beer cost me only $ 20.62, including my 20% tip. Given the art feast as well, I was thoroughly sated.

Margaritas made by the owner are(amazing). Others are pretty good. Chicken tacos, veggie tacos, and veggie enchiladas are filling and well done. Great place for families, first dates and couples as well. Great bang for your buck.

Casual and delicious. Take out if you’re in a hurry, dine in for a relaxed meal where you will never feel rushed, almost like you’re eating in the owners home. Have eaten here a few times and never been disappointed. Portions and flavor are on point! BYOB. Plenty of street parking nearby.

My wife and I decided to try this place after work one evening and WHOA!!! What a great find! It isn’t fancy and doesn’t serve alcohol but you’re welcomed to bring your choice of beverage to have with dinner. We ordered the following: Tostones & Guacamole & Grilled Chicken Enchiladas(with raspberry sauce drizzled on top) it even came with a side of refried beans and yellow rice! — DELISIOSO!!! In total, we paid about $ 30 — not bad at all! We would definitely swing by again. Thanks Don Juan!

I went here the other night with some friends. The food was great and worth the wait. We split an order of guacamole, which was awesome. Smooth and creamy with a nice kick to it. I wish I knew how to make it that good! The cucumber slice was a nice touch. We all ordered the steak enchiladas. Unfortunately, I can’t find a description of them on the menu on their website, but they were so good and reasonably priced. The sad part about all of us getting the same thing is that we weren’t able to try other dishes, as customers sitting around us were raving about all kinds of dishes. The one slight flaw I’d mention is that the rice and beans got cold very quickly, after just a few bites of the enchiladas. But all in all, I’d definitely eat here again next time I’m in the area.

You had me at Salvi restaurant, but that’s where it ended. Don’t get me wrong, this place is pretty decent but for sure at decent the most. This restaurant is at a corner spot that looks cute and then you walk in and half the restaurant is getting natural sunlight and the other side is super dark. Please add some lights so you can see the menu. We are greeted by the waitress who seemed half pleasant. We order the guac with tostones that everyone seemed to rave about. After having it, I completely understand why, they’re so yummy! The complimentary chips and salsa were great too, that salsa has a pretty good kick to it! I ordered the shrimp enchiladas which were good but, the rice and beans I wasn’t a big fan of. I think this place has decent food and if I’m ever in the area I’d consider coming back to and try other dishes. Probably wouldn’t be my first pick, but wouldn’t turn down going either.

I don’t think I can put into words how great our meal was here. After passing it by one evening when we decided to drive by an check it out as a closer option to our normal Latin American option about ten minutes away(we didn’t think it looked like much from outside and were worried it was too small to bring our three little kids there), we finally stopped in today for lunch. My wife got the shrimp enchiladas and I got the bbq tacos. Both were amazing. Literally some of the best we’ve ever had. The waitress was very pleasant and even brought out some other salsas for me to try after I told her that the salsa verde was the best I’ve ever tasted. I loved the service. The other customers were obviously regulars. And no doubt we will be going there often — and bringing the kids next time as the inside was more than accommodating for kids. Cannot recommend highly enough!!! Also the portions were perfect size and the prices very reasonable. Even thought that $ 1 for a can of coke wasn’t bad for a restaurant. You can also tell that this is a family run place. I asked the waitress how long they’ve been there and she said it was a deli before but a few years ago converted to a restaurant. I’m glad they did the conversion because it was great. Can’t wait to try more of the menu and come back with updates.

Small, casual spot for a reasonably priced meal. We had guacamole with tostones to start, along with milkshakes. The appetizer was delish, but I could’ve used a couple of more tostones. But no worries, you automatically get some salsa and chips once you’ve sat down so I used some of those crispy chips to finish it off! We had a mango milkshake and a blackberry milkshake. Both were just the right thickness and not overly sweet — would definitely recommend them. We had chicken and beef tacos. They were good but the chicken and beef were a bit dry and I found myself finding ways to moisten them up(like the spicy habanero sauce! Yum!). We had the avocado salad too. Plenty of avocado on top of iceberg lettuce, with tomatoes and a little bit of red onion. Would definitely go back to try more dishes!

After reading the reviews I expected a hole in the wall, but this place probably has the same vibe as other Hispanic restaurants that are more low key. Arroz con Camarones: tasty and came with 9 shrimp & fries Tacos Lengua(comes with 3): guess them running out of the bbq tacos was a good thing because I got this instead and it was delicious; first day it was being served; comes with a tart & spicy green sauce and a sauteed hot chili pepper?(it was good but stay away from the seeds if you don’t like it hot) Guacamole con Tostones: very good & the guac had a slight kick; tostones should be eaten when warm Rigua con Crema: not what I expected — thought it would be more of a corn fritter One of the items also came with a refreshing side salad and vinaigrette dressing. A few items came with cucumber and radish slices. A very reasonably priced restaurant with friendly service, nice portions and good food.

Well, I wish I took that extra year of Spanish class. This place has great food, but there was a bit of a language barrier. However, you can get by if you don’t speak Spanish. This place is a hidden gem with great authentic food. The menu was an eclectic mix of Latin foods, not just Mexican. I ordered the BBQ Pork tacos(listed on the chalkboard) and they were the one of the best tacos I’ve ever had. Tasted fresh, the shredded pork had tons of flavor and the side of the spicy aji just topped it off. My girlfriend ordered the fajita, which did not come out on a sizzling plate like your favorite Mexican chain, BUT it was just as a good. We ordered the tostones with guacamole, but got guacamole with chips. Yea, that extra year would have helped. This is clearly a family operated business and felt that I went over my friend Carlos’s house for dinner. I would recommend coming here with a friend that speaks the language, but if you are feeling adventurous, try it out! Also, there was a mixed crowd of patrons so don’t feel shy. Booze up with your own beer or wine — it’s BYOB. 4 — stars on food 3 — stars on service Average of 3.5 stars, but I will round it up to 4 stars since its a local business.
