Nail Theory

I was not able to redeem my Groupon voucher. I tried to make an appointment and they would state that they were not available on that day. I tried for over 3 months to make an appointment and just gave up. The final straw was when Tamra gave me a long drawn out explanation of how they are compensated for Groupon deals and that certain technicians don’t accept the vouchers. I am a very good tipper and they just missed out on a loyal customer because if they would have performed a good job they would have had a customer «for life». I contacted Groupon for a refund and it was completed within 2 days.

Like a previous reviewer, I had a groupon. When I went in to make an appointment I was told that they only take the groupon on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during the day. Last time I checked I work during the day so I can afford to live. I asked for a Thursday and was denied. The groupon fine print did not mention any day or time restrictions. I called groupon and got a refund and filed a complaint. Grouponers, get your money back.

I cannot say enough about my first time here at theory. I went for a refill… I had seen some photos in the reviews showing SNS. Happy they still offered it, I went for it. Soaking off my acrylic, cutting down my length and even getting a sculpt design… I indulged. Nyla was my tech. The ambiance is wonderful, the place is truly beautiful and the other techs were super friendly. I almost don’t want to share my review so I can keep Nyla’s availability down for myself lol. Fantastic personality, great attention to detail and great patience. I LOVED my experience and my nails from Theory. Dare I say they’ve got a new client!!!

Thank u peyton, tamra, and nyla for an awesome way to end my friday! I hope i spelled everyones name correctly. These ladies are great, will definitely go back.

Super cute place and really nice salon. The workers are very nice and they did a good job. Only issue is there is only one worker so it is SLOW. Took forever to get a mani-​pedi. If you are in a rush don’t come here. Otherwise, I would recommend.

I really don’t like writing negative reviews, but here we go. I purchased a Mani/​Pedi Gel combo through Groupon. When I arrived, everyone was very friendly so I had no issues with the staff. During my manicure, it was said out loud a few times that they don’t like it when customers order through Groupon since they’re not receiving the full price for the service they are offering (keep in mind, I purchased Groupon). That made me feel uncomfortable, then I kept hearing that the techs need to upsell designs when a Groupon is purchased. I got my nails done a week ago and my nail polish started coming off 5 days later, after I was told that it would last 2 weeks with the gel. My cuticles started looking pretty bad two days later. I was also pretty bored due to the fact that there was no music or televisions in the establishment to keep me distracted during my 2 hour mani/​pedi. Again, everyone was friendly, but I didn’t appreciate that I the customer had to feel bad about purchasing a service that is offered through another site.

My nail came off after 6 days of having them on, and now this morning another one came off all I did was take a shower… this is unbelievable, I was informed that my nails would’ve at least lasted a month but obviously that isn’t the case, when I went to tell about the initial nail at first I was met with hostility later on during the conversation things calmed down which I was happy for, my only issue is the fact that as a customer there wasn’t any effort put forth by the owner, I wish that she would’ve said «you know what since this is the first you’ve had something done here I will make an exception for you and let someone else put back on that one nail that came off» but no she didn’t I was accused of slamming my nail into something (even though that wasn’t the case) and now after doing something that everyone does, you taking a shower another nail came off… You know as bad as those other salons could be regarding atmosphere and even how they use there tools I tell you one thing the two events that have caused my nails to come off with ease I might add has never happened before EVER! I think that I will take my business elsewhere…
