Suite Styles Salon

I went to this beautiful salon when I was just starting to transition from a perm to natural hair. So, it is pertinent to state that I was nervous and sensitive about my hair in addition to the fact that I was also losing hair as well. I was in need of hair support and maybe a little advice, and I believed that the young women in this salon who had so much style would be able to help me.
Well the joke was on me, as I am an adult and I know the cardinal rule, «Do Not Judge a book by its cover»
When I stepped into the salon, I was greeted well enough. However, when I actually got into the chair it was a whole different story.
I didn’t get the young woman’s name who «helped «me. However, I can describe her. She was tall, had an Afro, wore glasses (I think they were red). I explained my situation and I told her that I had been searching online for different hair options … What I came up with is a «texlax» and a U prt wig… To help me grow my hair back.
While I was talking she interrupted, laughed a bit and said…
«We don’t do that»
She had a good enough reason, however there were no suggestions, no encouragements no small talk. Nothing just that ugly angry face she was making for God knows what reason. During, the application of the wigs, she said my hair was too sheer and that it was to «look Bad“very bluntly… And continued to look annoyed. I was very uncomfortable. At the end she did show me a way to move he wig so it would look decent… As well as applied eyeshadow to my scalp to hide the spaces where my hair was falling out… That was her nicest moment… And even then she was annoyed looking.
The one good thing about this place was the makeup girl.
Although, I did not get my makeup done, I did not ur her fantastic energy! She had a smile on and was making jokes and was all around In great spirits.
If this place gets ANY stars… It is because of her!

Set my appointment for 7:15pm online, I was so excited to find a salon with late availability. I was in and out, a simple wash and blow. The salon décor is so nice and chic and I loved the atmosphere.
