Good food and great service!
We ate on the bar because there was a 10 minute wait and we were a bit hungry. The staff was very pleasant and welcoming!
A lot of fried food…
The steak was delicious :)

Hidden gem in Ossippee, excellent food, clean environment, and friendly service. I met the owner at a farmers market and was greatly impressed by the seafood quality. I had read and heard many other favorable reviews and after seeing the seafood offerings at the market I knew we had to give it a try, boy am I glad we did! They were willing to make us a CT style hot lobster roll and a cold lobster wrap (customized from menu offerings) which were excellent, home made onion rings were some of the best I’ve had, and to top it off the kids chicken fingers were homemade, juicy and very lightly breaded. My only complaint is the slowness in getting food and our check since there was only one server on staff — she was doing a great job, but could only do so much. Will definitely be back!

We waited way too long just for drinks. Our food took forever and we had 4 young children with us. When we finally got our food two hamburgers were completely raw. The food was good otherwise but service was awful

Can’t give this local restaurant 5 stars because we only had lunch there once, but I certainly am a fan. I had the half-​pound burger with fantastic smoked bacon which was super. I am a big fan of good bread, and even the bulkie roll this was served on was great. Came with a huge mound of coleslaw which was also above average. The wife had a haddock hash wrap which sounds a bit off-​putting, but was terrific too, the fish very fresh, peppers, cheese, tomatoes. Mmmm. The décor was New England diner kitch… canoe suspended from the ceiling, bears and moose on the lampshades, etc. Just what you’d want in a local place. There appeared to be only one waitress, but she was a dynamo, kept everyone happy and well fed. At one point the owner/​chef appeared to greet some friends and chat. Its places like Jake’s that renew my faith in America. Take that Applebee’s!
