Found a small gem in the middle of no where! From the outside belle & maxwells looks deceiving, I almost changed my mind… good thing I went inside. It’s a beautiful café restaurant with nice ambiance. I could tell from the menu it was going to be good. The appetizers were delicious and the grilled chicken breast salad was amazing! I will def be coming back here!

Love this place! Delicious food and a great atmosphere! It’s so cute and eclectic inside. Great place to bring a friend to catch up for lunch. I recommend this place to all of my friends who live in the area and they all love it! The décor is adorable. I usually get the prosciutto sandwich which I love!

I really wanted to love this place… The décor is just so romantic. So I gave it 2 tries before writing a review. I came for dinner both times, and the service was so bad and the food doesn’t make up for it. Nothing special. Sad face.

Really wanted to love this place. The place is super cute for a random plaza, but no menu, no utensils. super lacking service, wrong order and brown avocado… well I guess all of that speaks for itself. sigh.

where do I start first I love the décor! and the people working are real down to earth and oh so nice. I have to say the chicken wings were a bit dry, my friend ordered them and unfortunately barely ate them. I loved everything else and the desserts as well. Try their happy hour!

I don’t see how anyone could give this anything above 2.5 stars… it is quaint and cute, but beyond that, the food and average at best.

Food is wonderful — I had the French Brie and apple sandwich and my husband and father both had the curry chicken wrap. I would definitely come back for the great food but the service was lacking. We spent more time trying to get the attention of our waitress so we could pay the bill than we did waiting to sit, order, and eating — combined. I don’t think she actually said one word to us beyond«drinks?»…after that it was pure silence.

I’m giving two stars because it was so bad that I won’t be back, but it does have great décor, great wait staff, and great salad dressing, which I may buy and use at home. Their wine is too hot — nobody wants red wine at Florida room temp. It’s supposed to be CHATEAU room temp, or around 65 degrees. We who didn’t live in chateaux drank beer when those rules were being made, though our rooms also probably were 65 degrees or colder. Their wine sits out too long once it’s opened. The house wines seem sweet to me, but at least they probably turn over faster than the French ones. I wound up with an over-oxidized, too-warm St. Emilion. HUGE disappointment — gave it back without drinking it, but they charged me for it. I admit offering St. Emilion and Medoc by the glass is great, but not if they’re served ruined. If you take the chance, maybe ask how long ago the bottle was opened. If it’s yesterday or something, I’d pass. Be sure your salad dressing is shaken up before it goes into the bottle they give you. Ours tasted like pure oil, and I know it to be truly great dressing. You have to compensate for sloppy handling of the food, sometimes, at least. We asked them to find us a good bottle of dressing, and they did, but they had to go through a lot of bottles. Someone had poured without shaking. What we got at first was no good at all. I had a flatbread which seemed not to have been heated enough. I suspected it was frozen and microwaved from the wet and cold spots in it and the unmelded cheeses. I ate the bacon from it and gave the rest back for the cats. I don’t eat whatever junk is set before me, because there’s a cost in calories and bad fats. There was just too much wrong with B & M today for me to have the faith to go again, though they used to be pretty good. I’ve been away for two years and I was shocked. It’s all bad food handling, too. Nothing they couldn’t do better.

Super yummy! I was here for a baby shower so I don’t know if the menus is the same. I got the pear Gorgonzola salad and my friend got the Brie turkey avocado sandwich! So delicious! The portion of the salad was huge and the Brie was the best part of the sandwich. Cute place with quirky funky décor!

I love this quaint little place. Going there for lunch is wonderful. the quiche is outstanding and the coffee is to die for. But watch out for dinner. Their prices are a half order for one price, full orders for another price and the waitress may ask you if you want to have a half order for your main course. But my group got stuck with full-size salads which was the price of an entrée. Be specific when you order.

I don’t usually give 5 stars, but when I do, there has to be good eats at this cute lil place! Similar to the décor of Amelie’s in Charlotte, NC, this small restaurant was the perfect way to welcome me to the WPB area. Almost hidden among larger buildings/businesses, I believe I got really lucky with my first dining experience in WPB! I arrived and immediately took a place at the bar. Who would want to sit at a table if you’re there alone? *awkward* But was greeted by a server, and a small portion of bread, which is perfect for a party of one! The service was so friendly and quick, and made sure to give their own input in what I was thinking about ordering(which is helpful to me, cause in most cases, the server knows whats good and bad). I decided to go with the Fettuccine Alfredo with grilled jumbo shrimp, because I believe that I am an Alfredo connoisseur. ^.^ I paired the pasta with a Cabernet(because it was half off…) and immediately regretted it. The wine was honestly the only thing wrong with this place, which is why I didn’t remove a star. Plus, its not the restaurant’s fault, I’m just an avid beer drinker. I recommend this place for date night, especially for Valentine’s Day!!! Mainly because I saw a cute couple sharing a couch next to their table and cuddling… awwwww…

This place is such a cute and classy little place nestled in the antique district of West Palm Beach. I passed by this place many times and have always wanted to try them. Finally, a coworker and I gave them a shot. The inside décor is very elegant and they have seating outside in the front and the back of the restaurant. We sat in the back outside area, and the ambience in the back is reminiscent of the outdoor areas of the nearby antique shops for those of you who have explored them. The only complaint I have are the mosquitoes. My friend and I were eaten alive. There really should be some citronella(sp?) candles or bug zappers back there. As for the food, I ordered the quiche of the day, which was broccoli and cheese, and it was to die for!!! My friend ordered the apple, brie and walnut sandwich and he said it was«amazing». I’m so glad I tried this place and is definitely one of my new favorite places. I would definitely go back again! I just wouldn’t sit in the back outside area anymore. Mosquitoes think I’m too tasty lol

Lovely ambience and location, the staff is always friendly and the establishment is very clean and comfortable. I absolutely love the apple and goat cheese salad — the house dressing is unique, light, and delicious! Other table favorites are the quiche, lentil soup, and sandwiches. A great spot for either a quick bite or to spend time with friends. All around 5 stars!

Super cute décor. The waitstaff was great. The menu was nice with lots of lovely sounding things to choose from, but the food was hit or miss. I had a flat bread which was pretty good, but nothing special. Some of our group got the Risotto which they all felt was not at all creamy, and was basically rice with some vegetables mixed in and a few frozen shrimp. Two of our party got the seared tuna salad which they felt wasn’t as fresh as it could be the fish smelled overly fishy. We were really disappointed with the owner when she inquired about one of our group not liking her dish. She was abrasive and very rude and more concerned with her ego than with making the paying customers happy. That’s just bad business. We won’t return.

Food was good but service was slow. If you go at lunch and have to get back to work, ask for your check early. We were there for over an hour for sandwiches. We were greeted pretty quickly and asked if we wanted to order, but we needed some time. After ordering we only saw the server at our table once–(after asking for her) to get the check. She was nice but appeared to have too many tables at once. I ordered the roast beef and Brie sandwich — tasty but not amazing– not super duper flavorful. The tomatoes were nasty and needed to be removed, mealy and looked liked they’d been cut and kept in the fridge for several days. The baguette was crispy and light. The raspberry tea was quite tasty! I really liked that they had unsweetened flavored tea!

Delicious lunch! I had the caprese sandwich– really fresh ingredients and amazing pesto. I tried some of the quiche, too– also delicious. Looking forward to trying it for dinner. Friendly service and fun atmosphere.

Just love this restaurant! Lunch & dinner this trip to FL. I could easily eat every meal here as I’ve never been disappointed. Dinner last night with 3 friends was wonderful… great service by Marissa. Loved their mussels for an appetizer and salmon/Boursin flatbread for my main dish… there were so many wonderful choices but I was saving room for their famous Key Lime Pound Cake. Everyone loved their meals: Chicken Piccata, Margarita Flatbread, Prosciutto & Melon salad and the mussels for 3 of us. Be sure to try their dessert sampler… choice of 4 desserts in sampler size. My friends sampled chocolate espresso truffle flour less cake, lemon curd tart, blueberry pie and strawberry rhubarb pie… all delicious, as was my pound cake! We sat out in the garden for our lunch outing a few days earlier; a beautiful tranquil setting to enjoy our meal. We all loved our food: gazpacho, «house special» turkey meatloaf(moist & flavorful with carmelized onions), Pear Gorgonzola salad, Roast Beef & Brie sandwich and the French Brie, Apple & Walnut sandwich. Good selection of wines and beer, but they don’t serve cocktails unfortunately… but that’s my only tiny complaint. Belle & Maxwell’s is well worth the drive from anywhere in South Florida! Can’t wait for my next trip south.

Food: Average. I was really hoping for some tummy eats. While nothing was«bad» nothing was great. The price seems disproportionate to the price. Service:Great.excellent, welcoming! Atmosphere: Adorable. Great date location if you are not a foodie. Everything about the atmosphere is 5 star.
