While this may not be technically illegal, shark hunting contributes to the rapid devastation of shark populations, many of which are near extinction.
If people continue to hunt sharks for sport — or their fins — there will be no more sharks left in our oceans in 5 – 20 years. This is the widely-​held consensus of marine biologists who study the decline of fish populations in all our oceans.
Captain Krohn: Be a leader and stop offering your services to shark hunters. I think we all want our children to have the experience of seeing how rich and amazing sea creatures can be. Unfortunately, at the rate we’re going, that will not be possible. You have an opportunity to do the right thing here… I hope you seize the opportunity.
