Great food and service. The owner Dina is a complete joy of a person. Traditional Cuban taste and they have music on the weekends. Love Don Ramon’s on Dixie. They also have a back area which is perfect for a large party!

Don Ramon’s is my jam! It’s never changed since I was a little girl. The food is spot on and the kitchen stays consistent. You have to have a little pressed pan con ajo mantequilla! Before main dishes… Que rico! Wonderful & polite servers and always a great meal. Expectations always met :) happy girl!

So far pretty cool place but a while for a cuban sandwich i mean I’m here for twenty minutes ni sandwich. They did not have diet Materva a cuban restaurant. Staff is speechless they just pass many and no one knows where is my sandwich??? 22 minutes no sandwich. Mind you a whopping 8 bucks and it’s invisible! Finally here and its as small as a tostada. They have no clue to what a cuban sandwich is i mean skinny hardly no meat. Wow i guess we aint in Miami. But it was good they just need to make it bigger.

What a great local Cuban soot !! I’ve been coming here forever but much more often now ! The food is so authentic and flavorful. My toddler daughter loves the black beans and pork ! I can’t speak enough about the Cuban sandwich it’s amazing. I also get the pulled pork it’s so good and the pounded steak is perfect. My wife loves the shrimp in the garlic sauce. You can’t go wrong with anything trust me, they never let me down. It’s a nice clean place with a older lady playing piano Thursday’s through Sunday which is nice for the atmosphere. Dine in or take out is easy. Come check it if your craving amazing food !

I attended a baby shower that was held here and I was not too impressed with the service. There was about 50 people or so in attendance and the waiters were going back and forth with soda and water. I seen people go up to the bar to get drinks and I was told by the waiter at my table that I didn’t have to go up there since he could get it for me. I don’t know why the others weren’t told the same thing unless they chose to go to the bar. I got a regular mojito and it was ok. The second one was much better because I ordered it with pineapple and strawberry. Each of us could choose from the chicken, roast pork, skirt steak, or fish. The dish came with yellow or white rice with black beans and a side of sweet plantains. The food was good and it came out rather quickly, which they had prepared for the event and did one thing right. As the shower went on, I could tell the staff members were getting restless and was ready for the celebration to be over. My friend was trying to rush opening up her gifts because they said all of us had to be out by a certain time. I get it, but we didn’t even finish our food until an hour before the ending time and there was cake slices that had to be passed around. There was a load of gifts to be opened and it was chaos. The staff did a ridiculous thing a half hour before it got over. They brought out a cake to a waiter and started singing Happy Birthday to him literally right outside for all of us to see and hear. It was purposely done and I found it very rude. I give it 2 ½ stars based on the professionalism from the staff. There was one waiter that acted like he was in charge, but yet there was another woman that told him what to do before he went off and did his own thing. I wasn’t sure if they were managers or pissed off about working on a Sunday. I don’t find myself going back there based on the actions of the staff. It was a beautiful shower held in an unsuitable restaurant. The lack of consideration was unnecessary and should have been unacceptable from the management.

My favorite place in town where I feel really comfortable and relaxed. They have different settings that create the perfect ambiance all under one roof. The restaurant is so accommodating depending on your mood(cozy sofa area, private room for parties, and a dance floor during the weekends. I find myself going here for Friday night date night with my husband. The décor, soft illumination, and the grand piano is guaranteed to set the mood for a romantic night. The Sangria is a must have. Possibly the best Sangria in wpb/lakeworth area. The second recommendation and my personal favorite is the Shrimp Creole. The sauce is absolute perfection, makes a great combo with the bread. The staff is always courteous and attentive. Wether it’s just me and my husband or my office staff, the service remains consistent.

Donna C. Wildwood, IL I was so looking forward to a wonderful Cuban dinner while on vacation down in West Palm and unfortunately I was not impressed. Maybe I should have stuck with a Chicken Milanesa or Bistec Palomilla but I went with the Shrimp and Garlic and was very disappointed. The shrimp were very small and although the sauce was tasty I had nothing to dip in it to enjoy. I had asked the waitress for drink suggestions and she suggested the sangria since it was hot outside, but to me it was nothing special. I also noticed that all the tables that were being attended to were receiving baskets of bread and water as soon as they were seated and I never did receive bread(maybe I was suppose to ask??) and had to request water. I did enjoy the piano music though.

I love the food here. I found it as a recommendation from a co-worker. The staff is VERY friendly and the food is excellent! Food prices for lunch are great and dinner is pretty old as well. You must try the Papaya Shake and the Tres Leches for dessert. I will be back.

Good Cuban food, portions are huge. Service was ok, our server was new and he was very overwhelmed so I felt bad for him, he did his best. I don’t recommend ordering mojitos here, there not very good get a Cuba Libre instead.

Tummy Yummy Cuban cuisine. The owner plays music and the staff if friendly and efficient. The menu has Cuban standard fare and you can’t go wrong with anything you order. The white bean soup is a favorite along with the churrasco.

The food was really good. Not great but still a nice overall experience. The service was quite slow so don’t go if you’re on a hurry to get somewhere else. Their homemade tres leche cake was lovely!

Fra Diavolo Mussels! Mahi Mahi and Mango, Day boat Grouper and Sauteed Gulf Shrimp with a Saffron drizzle… wait what? Didn’t we go to Don Ramon’s? Where am I? I wasn’t expecting much, nor the immense new selection of foods which ran the gamut from traditional Cuban cuisine to new exotic South American fusion flare. Being a lead server from NYC’s Jean Georges(3 Michelin star flagship restaurant), I wasn’t expecting this. This is not your old Don Ramon’s! The DR was slipping into obscurity for me over the past year. I did not know that there were new owners since July and boy was it obvious. I came in with a serious chip on my shoulder when my French family desired to eat at the Clematis icon. I was expecting a mediocre night at best… not one of the most surprising degoustation delights and outrageous fun night outs we had in awhile. First of all the place was packed. The hostess was going to make us wait 15 minutes for our table. When they saw my father with a cast on they immediately brought out an extra table for the main dining room and seated us directly in front of their live entertainment. The hostess greeted us and told us there would be a 10 minute wait for service but wanted us to be seated and enjoy a few drinks before we got served instead of waiting on the bustling Clematis strip. Domingo was our server and boy was he accommodating, knowledgeable and attentive. Then Bruce came over to greet the table and then Kenny… who are these casually dressed guys? Managers? Nope! They’re the new owners. We had service from just about every angle coming at us. Bruce came to the table no less than 5 times that night to check on us. Kenny was just about everywhere greeting tables and lending a hand both in the back of the house and the front. This is truly their gem and they want to make everyone feel part of the new family. Sign me up! My Cousin works at the french embassy in DC and my father was the National Importer for Cristal Champagne here with his seasoned foodies. His father was a french chef along with my brother. We were in for quite a show! The Musician was extraordinary. He played the guitar, trumpet, saxophone and a few other fun instruments while he sang from a wide range of classic and modern Latin hits. BY the end of the night half our table was up and dancing with customers from other tables… it was unreal. Instruments were passed around to tables for those wishing to participate in the eclectic and fun atmosphere. There is just so much to address about how completely these new owners have resuscitated and infused the New Don Ramon’s(soon to be Mango Tango!). The menu had a lot of classic Don Ramon’s fare, like their Mojo chicken. When Domingo came over and rattled off 6 different specials I was blown away. AS mentioned previously, app special Fra Diavolo Mussels, giant perfectly spiced to heat but not ridiculous. A perfect balance of spice and acid from the tomatoes. the mussels were HUGE. The dinner specials were top notch, Snapper, Grouper and Mahi Mahi with tremendous sauces and flavoring. Then Filet Mignon, Fresh delicious Grilled Shrimp, and items one wouldnt expect to find at your run of the mill Cuban joint. I had to try one of my favorites, Garlic Shrimp Scampi in a thick cream sauce… uhhhhhh. my mouth is still salivating. Highly recommended! Straight forward top quality fish and meats, served unapologetically with a vivacious atmosphere and casual dressed down service that was non stop. You couldnt help but feel overwhelmed at the attention and care that everyone put into our table. We did not let on who we were or where we were from, and they treated us like royalty. My Dad had a fall on the way to the bathroom with his cast and it was as if the entire restaurant mobilized to his aid. With gentle hands that were more concerned with his well being than being sued, Kenny and Bruce were by our side, and didnt leave til they had personally walked us privately out to our car, while one waited on the street to clear traffic and guide our driver in to the back alley which they opened up for easier access for my father. I was almost in tears at how loving and sincere everyone was on top of the most extraordinary night. We left with pictures from our dancing adventures and cards from all the owners. Bruce and Kenny, I tip my hat to you and wish you all the best on your new venture. With personal service like that and new exotic fare to satisfy a very picky french crowd your gonna do GREAT. And we will be back and bringing our friends again and again. Keep those giant spicy Fra Diavolo Mussels on the special apps or a permanent fixture on the menu please. Noches! –SP

My mom took me here for lunch celebrate my birthday. I’m vegan, so I ordered side dishes. There’s lots to choose from. I had black beans, rice, yucca, and plantains — all yummy. When the server brought toasted Cuban bread with butter already on it as a complimentary snack, I asked if he could bring some without butter, and he did. I also enjoyed a delicious piña colada. I highly recommend it. Would I go back? Yep.

Tried this based on reviews here and was not disappointed in the least. This is the first time having Cuban and now the bar is set. The fish was excellent and even able to get an excellent espresso!

Ate here with my husband and toddler son. We were seated for lunch in a booth — very comfortable. We started with some stuffed potatoes, and some bread. Both were delicious and even my little boy ate plenty. I had a Grouper sandwich which was delicious as well, crunchy, bread was wonderful as was the tomato and the toppings. My husband had a cuban sandwich which he devoured so it must have been good. We shared a flan and it was just perfect(but on the small side!). I hope to go here again some day. The environment was dark and there is probably live music frequently(there was a music set up on one end of the restaurant). The bathroom was clean, parking lot is convenient.
