I have never written a negative review before but after a month I have calmed down and have had time to think about what I wanted to say about this company. I was very satisfied with the crew, they were on time, worked through a rain storm and had smiles on their faces the hour they were with me. However, I was told by Jesse (OWNER) that I had the movers the whole day and that apartment would be completely cleared and that we would even stop by a garage to pick up a few small items. Well, things changed. Last minute, after several boxes and 3 big items were loaded I was told by one of the movers that the crew needed to hurry because they had another job lined up, per their boss Jesse. I called Jesse who got aggressive with me on the phone, claiming he was not aware I had so many things to move. Excuse me? We talked the week before, You are a moving company… I am paying you 85 $/​hr to move my 970 sq. ft apartment!
Without choice, I was forced to stop the move so the movers could «hurry» and get my things delivered to my new home. It took the movers over an hour to get to my new home (lunch break and a switch out of an employee at the headquarters… per Jesse… all of which I paid for since they were still on the clock). When the movers did not show up as expected I called Jesse again to discuss pricing because my move was NOT accomplished and the crew was still «missing.» Again he was angry at me claiming I messed his day up and my move was the reason he was having to cancel the move after mine. My boyfriend got on the phone with Jesse, they exchanged words because of how disrespectful he was to me. Jesse and I then spoke again. He threatened to come to my house and stand there until I paid full price or his crew was not going to unload my things. He thing hung up on me. I texted him and he wrote me a nasty text message back (which I kept, just in case I could load it to this review).
I honestly felt like calling the police!!! My hands were tied. It was not that I did not want to pay, it was that the job was not completed per our agreement and they were dragging their feet getting the job done.
I ended up spending close to 300 $ (price plus had to tip the guys). I felt so angered by this situation. Not only was this crew moving my things but they were moving my friends things who is disabled on one side of his body. Since they moved only a few of our boxes and a few big items, this left us stuck in a bad place, some things moved, others not. No couch! No plates, cups, silverware! What a crime, seriously the worst experience ever. When we finally were able to move again (one month later), we called Smooth Movers and had a completely different experience. Would not recommend this company.

I used Elite Handling when I moved from West Palm Beach earlier this year. They had the best price and was very impressed by how good the service was for the price. The movers packed everything within 45 minutes and unpacked in less than 30 min with no damage to any of my things. Definitely recommend them for your next move. Ask for Jesse when you call, he’s great!
