Worst breakfast I’ve had in this city. Soggy breakfast crescent with over cooked eggs that were crispy and gross. The home fries just scare me… Not even gonna try em. Paris, Palm Beach Bagel, anywhere else is better than this. I should have read the reviews

I stopped going… Rude employees. I work in a 10 story building across the street. Have been telling everyone to stop going…

By far the best place for the money to get breakfast in town. Great prices and they aren’t light on the bacon! Bacon, egg and cheese on bagel is a steal. I also really like their chicken salad, large white meat chunks. So good! Been going for years and will continue for years to come!

I hate this place. Rude cashiers and staff, filthy, and tasteless crappy food. POORCUSTOMERSERVICE — SORRY — NOCUSTOMERSERVICE. I asked for one simple thing: Poached eggs. Response: Oh we don’t have those… I ask the other cashier {as I realize the cashier doesn’t know what a poached egg is}. The second cashier: We can’t make that — we aren’t set up for that. Let me see, I’m looking around and I see homemade home fries, bagel sandwiches, bacon, omelettes, fried breakfast platters and they cannot make a poached egg? I say: You realize a poached egg is an egg broken into boiling water and cooked for literally 60 seconds. Answer: Yes, we aren’t set up for that — it’s not on our menu, we would have to boil the water. [???} My buddy(the only reason I step foot in that disgusting place) gets an egg white omelette loaded with vegetables and a side salad w/balsamic dressing. So I know that they MUST have: 1. Pans, 2. Eggs, 3. Water… But it’s worth it to them to argue w/a customer for 5 mins. about not being able to put these three things together. I tell them I don’t want anything. I suddenly don’t want to spend even a penny in there. If it weren’t for my buddy who already ordered I wouldn’t have even had the lousy dishwater coffee I took two sips of. My coworkers and I call this desperation food. If you forget to bring breakfast or lunch, have no time to go anywhere else, and don’t want to eat out of a vending machine, there it is. Fruit salad tastes fermented and my coworker found mold in hers. The chicken I’m eating right now is dry and hard, yet pink on the inside. The worst part is the customer service. I’ve gone there maybe 4 times in the past year and twice the order was wrong. Most of the employees are rude, and need to be trained in customer service. I rarely review restaurants on Unilocal but this place just needs a complete overhaul. They have a great location because lucky for them, there are several tall office buildings full of hungry employees keeping them afloat.

Just moved downtown, we had a coupon and wanted to check the place out. Cashier says they can’t except it because it wasn’t approved by the manger/owner and the city just printed it out anyways. Which I thought was silly. They could of easily accepted it and that would give us more hope to returning. They mix up our orders as well. Will not return.

So rude. Was put in hold and held for eight minutes while I listen to the workers giggling to each other in the background. Do you want my business or what. Have had problems with them in the past.

I’m from the northeast & make finding a good bagel place a high priority. As far as bagels go in the west palm /gardens /Jupiter area, this is your best bet. I’ve tried 2 bagel boyz locations, Brooklyn water, Madison square, NY bagel on singer, and makebs take the cake. Nice texture, chewy /doughy. Not crumbly. Nice outer shell. They also have good coffee & fresh squeeze OJ. Haven’t had too much besides bagels, tried the Italian sub once I wouldn’t recommend but I don’t hold it against them :-) they should minimize their menu & focus on doing what they do well. Anyways it’s a decent bagel place for south Florida.

Makeb’s is my go to spot for quick easy breakfast or lunch because it is so conveniently located. The breakfast sandwiches are my absolute favorite and they always get my order right no matter how specific. This is my family’s number one spot to order sandwiches for boat and beach days! Always fresh and delicious!

Why go anywhere else … Breakfast is excellent. If you order a sandwich for lunch, bring a friend to help you eat it, they are huge and delicious.

There is nothing better than fresh, hot bagels :-) Great service, lots of sandwiches ~ this is the place for breakfast/lunch on the run, or hanging out for coffee with a group of friends. It’s not fancy, just cozy. This is my fave location, but there’s one at Okeechobee and Military also. It’s always bustling.

This is your basic New York type bagel place. It’s always very busy. They also serve eggs & home fries(huge portion). There’s not much to report on this place, it’s pretty consistent(been there about 5 times). I’m sure we’ll go there many more times, just nothing to write home about…

If you love sandwiches of any kind, you have to try Makebs! I go every weekend and get the egg, bacon and cheese breakfast sandwich. They use real eggs and real bacon and the bagels are amazing. The price is fair. They are open from breakfast to around 4pm I believe. Parking is little… you may have to walk if possible or pay at a meter. It’s situated in a downtown area, so there’s something to do after you eat. The staff is friendly and the wait time for the food is average. The building itself needs some work… older building. But it is clean and can accommodate families. I would recommend this placed because you can’t go wrong here! Diego, my boyfriend gets the chicken salad sandwich and he Ioves it! But I stick with the breakfast sandwiches… any other lunch sandwich you would highly recommend? I’m Italian so I love big sandwiches. Thanks!

Makeb’s is a great place to pick up a quick breakfast bite. I usually get there egg white and turkey on a pumpernickel bagel. It’s delicious, the eggs aren’t pre-made, the turkey is nicely sliced… and they have fresh squeezed orange juice. I also like the egg and cheese on a everything bagel. If you don’t want the bagel the also have omelets. Give them a try, you won’t be sorry.

If you ever find yourself in downtown West Palm Beach and need a good, cheap, quick breakfast, I highly recommend Makeb’s. Absolutely my go to spot when I’m up here.

First of all this is an extremely dirty place. I went there on a Sunday morning and it was busy. You order food at the register and they call you by your order number. The only reason that I am giving them a 2 star instead of 1 is because the bagels were good. I had the omelette w ham and cheese and it tasted terrible. They probably use the cheapest ingredients. I asked for a side of cream cheese and it was $ 1 extra. It came in a small ketchup plastic container. I wont be back.

So I read the other reviews & decided to try for myself. I went at 1:30 pm on a Saturday so not exactly rush hour. It’s located off of Olive next to domino’s pizza. It’s nestled among all the high rise condos off Fern, Datura & down from Clematis. The interior is very cute & typical for a Deli. It has 2 distinct seating areas. To the left is a lounge area with couches, coffee tables & a flat screen tv. The other area, to the right, is a tiled area with a bunch of four top seating. There’s probably 10 tables in the dining area. The woman taking my order was basically indifferent which is never really a good thing. Your first point of contact is your first impression so it should be REALLYGOOD: They should be friendly, pleasant, smiling, & enthusiastic. She was conscientious in getting my order correct. We repeated about 3 times which is a good thing. There were a few people trickling in as I completed my order. And there were about 10 people already inside dining. I waited about 10+ minutes & my number was called. The guy in the Deli Sevtion was very nice. He smiled & said a few nice words as he bagged my bagel. I ordered an Everything bagel with scallion cream cheese, Lox, tomato, red onion & capers. The order was perfect & was very good. The bagels didn’t have that crisp crust with an awesome slightly chewy texture. The bagel was good, mind you. The topping was good also. I LOVE lots of garlic, poppy, sesame, salt etc on my bagel so I would’ve preferred a bit more of a dunking of the toppings! ;) But overall, it was a perfectly fine little bagel place. I would come back if I was in the area, & try a Deli sandwich or try another bagel. It was a perfectly fine & pleasant food & experience. Hope this helps! ENJOY!

There are two things that are inexcusable in a restaurant. They are not mistakes or glitches. They are choices. 1) Rudeness 2) Unsanitary conditions We experienced both at Makebs. The food was bland. Bagels were ok. Nothing special at all.
