Love the park, lake path — biking, tennis, baseball, softball, soccer, peddle boats, kayaks and canoes, golf, par course, fit trail, playgrounds, nature trail, water skiing, dog park & more. Across the street is equestrian park and there is bmx bike course on edge of park. There is also a few geo caches hidden out there in nature area. Lots to do. Great picnic areas, good for groups/gatherings.

Not really! Maybe my expectations were high but I went in thinking this was going to be a tropical oasis seeing as this was Florida and all. I expected it to be finely manicured and since it was so big, lots to do. On the map I saw lots of water and that immediately attracted me to the area. It’s really hard to tell one area of the park from the next. It all kind a looks the same. The little flying gnats are annoying. There’s no shade if you’re looking for shade. The park is really average. I’ve seen better in Florida. The park itself is big lol.

It’s amazing here. It looks beautiful and it a great place to work out and have fun with any and everyone. There’s even a place for man’s best friend. Now it’s perfect for you and your dogs. I can’t wait to come back next weekend.

I grew up coming to this park and I’ve always had an amazing time! From kayaking to toad hunting, this park will always hold a special place in my heart.

My two Terriers and I love the dog park part, «Pooch Pines.» One side for large dogs, one side for small dogs. There are bigger dog parks in the area, but the people that bring their canines to this one seem to know how to control their animals, and stay engaged with them during the visit. Folks seem friendly, which is not always the case with other dog parks in the area. Closed on Wednesday afternoons for cleaning. 5 stars if there was more sitting in the shade.

Wow this is definitely an awesome HUGE park! My son and I do fishing tournaments here and after about 4 years I fought we’ve fished all the fish able bodies of water! It is great for everything and has actually a lot of wildlife. All in all if you need something to do for the day it is a great place to hang with the family.

I come here 3x a week with my mom to walk the designated walk path. We love it! We have been coming for a couple months now and it never gets old. The scenery is beautiful and the 45 minutes go by quickly. Besides our new found love of walking the path, I’ve been coming to this park since high school and they have a dog park, paddle boats, kayaks and a water sports park for water skiers. It’s a huge park! It’s kept clean and I definitely recommend you visit!

The Okeeheelee Park reminds me of when I was growing up and my dad would take me here to practice driving. Those were the good ol’ days. This park has a great amount of biking and walking paths, as well as an awesome fitness trail! Along with all those goodies, the children’s park is fun and a good size that you don’t have to worry losing track of the kid your with if you’re chillin on the park bench. I wouldn’t mind more shady trees to help with the SoFlo heat, but kids don’t mind being hot and sweaty. Love the park, love the memories.

This is a most amazing place that is under appreciated. We have gone to many nature centers in this area and this offers more than most, has an amazing education program and director(Clive Pinnock has been there 14 years and has the energy and enthusiasm of a nubie) but seems to be severely under the radar. Most nature centers that offer this much are full of volunteers and visitors. This one is sorely needing that and more than deserves it. The Center has a beautiful building and displays and also has an amazing group of animals(owls, raptors, deers) to observe. The director led a tour for two hours that was fascinating, informative and fun. He handled a screech own, a large owl., many raptors, that had all been rescued and that he had tamed for education. It was amazing. He deserves great credit and support. The financial cutback have meant cutbacks here that are very regretful. VISIT!!! Find out when his tours are, which are monthly, and go out of your way. it is free but worth more than money.

Okeeheelee is massive. I think it would take hours upon hours to walk the whole thing. I love the walking/running trail because it has the distance measured at every quarter mile. They have a couple lakes and just tons of open space. It is a great place to run, bike, walk, or just have a picnic.

There’s so much about this park to love. If you’re here for fitness, there’s a great fitness trail surrounded by lakes and hills. If you’re not so interested in walking/jogging with the sweaty crowd, then I suggest you take the giant paved path around the lake. I have no idea how long it is(3 or 4 miles?), but it’s very scenic — probably my favorite place to walk next to Lake Trail in Palm Beach. There is a ton of stuff to see and do – from BMX racing tracks to jet ski courses. Of course, there’s also the giant lake that you can relax on with a small paddle boat. My girlfriend and I also like to stop by the snack bar in the public golf course when we’re thirsty. The lemonade there is delicious. Not loving the meatball subs we ordered once, but we shouldn’t have expected gourmet.
