Perez Moving & Storage

My movers NYC apparently deals with Perez all the time to move goods from the NY area to FL. mmI had a contract to have my good delivered Dec 11. Perez first picked up the shipment in NYC Dec 15!!! Then, though the company NEVER ONCE contacted me to arrange delivering my stuff. When I called them the day they were to deliver in FL (per the NYC guy), they said they would be a day later and required 100% cash up front. In other words, they held my things hostage until I could get to a bank. They had known about this transaction for six weeks, could have notified me of their cash only policy but just couldn’t be bothered. The son, Carlos, is delightful to deal with, but the dad calls the shots, and he’s totally lacking in humanity and integrity. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF THEY’RE THE LAST ONE STANDING.

I hired Perez moving last fall. Nilo Perez talked me out of going with another Co saying he could do it faster, better, and cheaper. I showed him what needed to be done. We agreed.
His workers came and worked very hard. The son, who remained outside in his truck the entire day, came in, in the middle of the move and said it would be $ 600 more dollars to continue. I was so upset and bewildered by this, but had no choice.
I packed the entire kitchen, buffet, and other valuables totally by myself. It took me over 6 hours. I was working with a swollen foot from fire ant bites on top of it all
When we arrived at my destination, during unpacking, they broke my fathers antique desk in front of me, clothing was wadded up and stuffed in boxes with knick knacks, photos, linens. Etc. there was no order. Porcelain figurines were in drawers, unwrapped, broken from knocking around in a bare drawer, back were torn off art works and paintings. It was terrible. They tried to blame me. It was 95 degrees, I fed the crew and kept them up on drinks– hydrating them. They were hard working, and pretty upset themselves at how they were treated
I have tried to contact them for 11months. He will not return my phone calls, emails, or text messages.
This is the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with and I have moved many times! I told them my only recourse is to go to court and still no response.
Think twice before dealing with this unprofessional Co-don’t trust what they tell u. I’m contacting the Better Business Bureau.

Perez Moving & Storage gets my highest rating. Every detail of this move was clearly explained. We received a quote that included a minimum and a maximum amount we would be charge. No matter how many hours over the maximum the movers took. We are very satisfied with all aspects of our interactions with Perez Moving & Storage. Do yourself a favor, hire Perez Moving and Storage on the spot!!!
