St Andrews Palm Beach

I have lived here for 3 years. I see there aren’t any reviews of the complex on Unilocal,so I feel compelled to leave a very honest one for potential tenants. This place is a colossal piece of crap.
The facilities are absolutely deplorable. There is always garbage in the grass, bushes and parking lot. These garbage items include used condoms, drug baggies, beer cans, and your general assorted garbage. Almost every screen door in this place is falling off the rails, seriously, just drive around and look. Two of the burners on my stove are lopsided because they are too big for the stove, so I can’t even use them. The water heater is so bad that if I want to take a warm bath I actually have to boil water on the stove and then pour it into the bath water. There is no weather strip on my front door at all, so when it rains I get a bunch of dirty rain water pooled in front of my door. I actually have to keep a towel by the door in case it rains while I’m at work. All of these issues were noted when I moved in 3 years ago, and they are still unresolved. On top of this the laundry situation is awful. The machines are frequently broken, the laundry rooms are disgusting, and the tenants are such lowlifes that they can’t even be bothered to clean the lint trap out when they’re done.
Speaking of the lowlifes, this place is very unsafe. I have never been physically assaulted or robbed, as others have, but I have been verbally assaulted multiple times by welfare collecting unemployed losers. My neighbors frequently hang out on the stairs that lead to my apartment, like it’s some kind of hood, rather than hanging out on their own patio like a normal human being would. This means I have to wait for them to move out of my way to get in or out of my apartment, and walk past a group of 4 – 5 «gangsta» looking people. It’s extremely uncomfortable and the «security» doesn’t do a damn thing about it at all. My neighbors can be found smoking weed at nearly any time during the day, in broad daylight, right next to the security /​maintenance shack and they don’t do anything about it. The only time security does anything is when you have a guest stay the night. They will put parking violation stickers on their cars, and threaten to tow them. The only way to avoid this is to visit the security office which conveniently opens at 8am and closes prior to 5pm, when everyone else is at work. These hours work for the prior mentioned unemployed individuals, but not people who actually work and pay taxes.
Do not live here unless you have absolutely no choice. I have friends who pay slightly more per month, around $ 50, and have much nicer, safer, and cleaner facilities. If you have children you shouldn’t consider this place at all. The nearby schools are crawling with the children of god awful parents, and the middle school at the end of the street is for kids with behavior issues, appropriately located within walking distance to the kids most likely to have to attend such a school.
