Twilight Nails

I like this place for hair services only. I didn’t like the three times I had nail services.
I don’t think it’s very sanitary so far as nails are concerned. There is poor ventilation; it always smells of chemicals hanging heavily in the air. I will never get my nails done here again. I am certain they pour acetone in their polish to spread it thin so they don’t buy as much as they should. My polish was always a mess. The last time I had my nails done, the polish «bled» all over my cuticles. It looked like a 3 year old polished my nails. I picked red so this was atrocious. The tech was apologetic and did what she could, as I had an affair to attend and needed to leave. The lady at the reception desk said I didn’t have to pay. That was exactly right. Twilight lost me when, the next day or two, I told them I absolutely could not go around with my hands looking that way; it had to be fixed correctly. I was shocked and appalled that, after seating me with the Asian woman who did not do the job originally, they had the nerve to charge me for that visit. I’m sorry, but my time is just as valuable as anyone’s. I didn’t appreciate having to sit again when it should’ve been done right the first time. That’s the only time in my life this ever happened.
On a positive note: the hairdresser is top notch.
You have to pay for parking if you can find a spot, or park in a nearby garage which is at least $ 5.00. If you live downtown as I do, probably best to walk.

I’ve been coming to Twilight Nails for 5+ years and always was very happy with Charmal and Kayla (hence 2, not 1, stars). Today they lost my business for good. I made an appt for 11:15 and when I arrived on time, there was one woman in the shop, and she was mid-​pedi. Not a problem, sometimes appts run late. I sat for more than 30 minutes waiting, without an apology or an acknowledgment from her. I finally called J & D Nails across the street, they were able to make some shifts in the schedule to accommodate me. As I left I explained that I was leaving because they didn’t respect the appointment or my time. The customer getting the pedi tried to excuse the employee’s lack of professionalism, which was laughable. Upside: J & D is much nicer, cleaner and is where I’ll go from here on out. I got a gel pedicure and had a lovely experience. Super friendly service and the nail technician Liz was very sweet. She paid a lot of attention to detail and did not rush through the procedure.

Karolina is fantastic and did an amazing job. You don’t know what you are missing until you have a great set of lashes put on. Literally reduced my makeup application time. She is very pleasant and professional.

Terrible service, plus people don’t know how to do their job.
Ugly nails, never had worse in my life.

Twilight nail salon is so cute and has a wonderful atmosphere. The ladies who worked there were friendly and made the experience even better. I got a mani pedi and loved every minute of it! Would definitely come back and bring some girl friends!

I like Twilight Nails. Not sure why the environment goes from not so great to great. They have always been nice to me, including putting coins in my meter. Maybe if they updated their color choices and worked on their cleanliness, they would not get bad reviews. I do know the bathroom is clean. Great location downtown, cool spot for those who just got off work, and never disappointed when I leave.

I went to Twilight Salon to get eyelash extensions. The salon is a dump. It is so dirty and the workers are not very welcoming or helpful. I would never go here to get my nails done.
The eyelash extensions however were a fabulous experience besides having to go through the salon. I bought a groupon for 100 mink lashes. The entire process was smooth and they came out great. Don’t be put off by the salon.
I got the lashes for my wedding so they are super glamorous. You should YouTube the process before going so you know what to expect. I had no issues with the process or the glue. No reactions or anything. It has now been 4 weeks and my lashes are still going strong. It is so nice to feel like I do not need makeup at all. I just get up and go.
If you are a makeup person like me, it was really hard to get used to putting on my eye makeup around the lashes. Liner and even powders has been tough. I don’t think I am going to get them filled. They still look amazing and my wedding pictures came out great and my husband loves them.
My 4 stars is because of the salon not because of the eyelash experience.

Has anyone had eyelash extensions here? I am concerned about the glue they use as per all info I see about it.

Yes, the salon does look a bit rundown, and they do not have massage chairs, and their nail polish collection is a mess. However, Kayla is a true gem — she did such an amazing job with my pedicure last night — she belongs in a high end spa somewhere in New York or Chicago (where I am from, and want to just steal her away). Do not miss!

Staff was sweet. Not too many color choices for regular nail polish. I’m use to the whole spa chair but here its a sofa with a tub like bowl. Love their sugar scrub, pedi lasted two weeks, but polished dulled out a week into it.

Nope. Took forever. Pedicure was horrible. No polish selection, wish I brought my own. Felt bad because they were sweet.

Marcus did my fill and he really did an amazing job! They were thin and so natural looking. Only negative is they need more updates polish colors.

The hours are great, the staff is super friendly and the prices are so reasonable! I got a gel mani with Kayla and it lasted for 2 weeks without a chip! Definitely will be back

Absolutely livid walking out of this salon after waiting over an hour with no service — I cannot get over how poorly and unprofessional the staff acted here. I came in with my mother who had an appointment, and sat for a full hour without any indication that there was any wait until I saw people coming in and getting seated as I sat and waited. I am 100% fine with waiting and fully understand if it’s busy, but there should have been at least some exchanging of words to me. They sit there and give zero customer concern; then when I finally (calmly and reasonably) asked after long enough what the wait was and how long it would be, they made me feel extremely uncomfortable in front of everyone else. Meanwhile, they were taking their sweet time walking around going on breaks. Extremely dissatisfied.

Open late unlike most salons. I had the gel manicure and deluxe pedicure special with Kayla. Awesome service and great attitude. I will definitely go back!

Being someone who gets my nails done every few months maximum, I am not particularly familiar with any one nail salon– the last one I went to was somewhere off of Village Boulevard more than a year ago. But the summer has been wreaking havoc on my feet, so I decided to invest in a pedicure on my day off this week.
Twilight Nails is somewhere I pass every day on my commute, and after checking Unilocal I noticed the Tropical Pedicure special and decided to give it a try. I was very impressed! The nail technicians were all extremely well versed in their craft, and warm and friendly as well. Whereas I usually read those dog-​eared copies of magazines found at most salons while getting my nails done, I instead found myself chatting with the staff and the other customers the whole hour I was there– it was that comfortable of an experience! I walked out feeling relaxed and pampered, and my feet look a zillion times better than before. Twilight Nails is awesome, and I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for a relaxing, fun, and cost-​efficient salon experience!

Great location (downtown W Palm Beach), great prices ($ 30 mani/​pedi) and nice salon. The only thing I didn’t like that I was ignored the very first time I walked in.
Noone paid attention to me. maybe they were closing soon. There were only two clients at that time.

Have been a few times now and it’s always a treat. Tina is great. The pedicures are done while sitting in a comfy chair or couch. Have a glass of wine while you relax too. My friend has her eyelash extensions done here and they are gorgeous. Enjoy!

Twilight is my go-​to whenever I need my nails done in a hurry — they have extended hours, usually have availability, are close by (for me) and are inexpensive.
That being said, I hesitate to go here for pedicures unless I’m really hard up for one. The quality of products they use doesn’t seem very good — I don’t recognize the brands, and they seem sort of well worn (worn down bottle labels, ratty towels, etc.). Some how I’m OK with getting a manicure because I guess I feel I can just wash my hands off afterwards?
Also, some of the nail specialists as well as the front desk people are a little funny to interact with — but then again, this isn’t a high end nail salon so maybe that’s a part of the experience.
For example, once about 2 months ago I wanted my nails cut short and woman just about cut the tips of my fingers before I insisted I clip them myself! She was using these giant toe nail clippers (not nail clippers) and like pushing into my finger tips to cut super low. She kind of huffed and gave an angry look when I asked her to please cut higher, and seemed annoyed that I asked to just clip myself, but fortunately after she went to work calmed down because when we started sharing kid stories (otherwise I might have been afraid of what else she might do).
I do have to say over the past couple of years I feel like they have gotten worse in quality rather than improved, by the way.
