Extremely average. Literally the most basic breakfast menu you can come up with. Food was fine, but hardly worth the more than 4 stars it is currently rated at.

After reading the other reviews, I thought this place would be special. It is not.
Yes, it is clean, and the cook/owner seems very nice, but everything else is average… nothing to set it apart from any other breakfast nook. It’s also not particularly inexpensive, and they only accept cash.

This is a small little dive breakfast and lunch joint. The guy behind the counter is a hoot. He’ll have you laughing from the moment you walk in. This isn’t anything fancy but the guy behind the counter (sounds like the owner) make your visit great. Good comes out hot, fast and fresh. I only gave this place e 4 stars because the OJ is bottled juice and its cash only. These cash only places make it hard for someone who’s a card only person. Thankfully I happen to grab cash earlier. I ordered the meat lovers omelet with cheese and a side of hot cakes.

Tried this place because it’s nearby and read all the great reviews. We walked in and the people working looked annoyed we came in so no hi how are ya? Or welcome of any kind. We sat down and ordered quickly, the sandwiches are $ 10 each that includes plain utz chips, no drink.
Not impressed with the food or service. I expected more from a seemingly mom and pop place. The place is small but I didn’t mind it, makes it a bit more cozy. Doubt we’ll be back though. A totally feeling of ummm ok… Meh when we left.

It is super clean and Bobby who runs the whole show is a gem! Great food — I love the selection for breakfast. Bobby has years of experience which shows in both the quality, flavor and speed. My mom loves coming here and I really enjoy the banter with the other customers.

Great breakfast place in west Roxbury. Friendly staff even in the early an. The coffee is good and keeps coming I think I drank and pot.
The French toast was also excellent. I highly recommend trying this place out for yourself. I will return.

Great service. Bob is very personable and attentive. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. Not a lot of choices on the breakfast menu but all the staples are there, eggs, omelettes, pancakes and french toast. Green Mountain coffee is awesome. Lunch menu seems to have a wider variety. It’s a small place so not a good idea for a big group. It’s quaint inside and very clean. The price was much less than you would find at the bigger chain places. I would definitely recommend Mary Ann’s and will be going back again soon!

I love breakfast foods and this is one of my new favorite breakfast restaurants. I had pancakes that were flavorful and fluffy, not too doughy and there were just enough. The coffee was hot and fresh and the cute breakfast atmosphere was suited for a small independently owned restaurant. You can tell the owner cares about quality and service. I will be back!

I have been going to this place for several years and its one of the best hidden little breakfast places in the city. If you didnt know it was here you would drive right by. Bobby the owner has been in the restuarant business for several years and used to own a reataurant in Dedham. As stated in another review it is a one man show. The coffee is Green Mountain and freshly brewed. everything is cooked to order and made with fresh ingredients. Pancakes and French toast are light and fluffy. For Lunch the pastrami or the Hot Dogs are great and my Dad raved about his burger the last time we were there.

SUPREME CUISINE!
Hearty and heart-felt homestyle breakfast & lunch selections served in an adorably appointed space. The portions are generous, the prices are very nice, and the food is fresh and delicious! Bob is a marvelous cook and a charming and gracious gentleman!
I look forward to working my way through the whole menu!

I found this small gem while looking for a place to eat its petite and only one person runs the place, the owner he is a pleasant gentleman and the food he makes is exceptional; haven’t tried everything on the menu but I’m sure its just as good. The hours are: Mon — Fri 6 am — 3 pm, Sat 7 am — 3 pm, and Sun 7am — 1pm the delivery hours are Mon — Sat 10 am — 3 pm
