Did learn to call first & ask what wait time is & if my hairdresser is there. I now know her days & times. Brianna is very good & knows her stuff. Last year I went there in tears after a botch job by a hairdresser in Dorchester. Brianna was very professional & sympathetic. She fixed my hair & has been cutting it since.

Can’t figure out the wait policy. Three separate times the story has changed from the manager. One of the time she skipped my 5 year old son. Not sure can you call in vs putting your name I. And waiting or is that take whom ever you see fit. Pretty sure under new management is In Order.

If you’re looking for an all day affair with a big price tag, this is not the place for you. I like Supercuts because they’re fast and they don’t charge an arm and a leg like some other places in West Roxbury. It’s also very clean. Just like any other salon, there will be stylists you like and ones you don’t. Karen is totally awesome. She takes her time and goes out of her way to make sure you feel comfortable. I’ve had my hair cut by two other stylists and was happy with the result as well. The only reason that I can’t give five stars is the fact that they don’t do appointments.

The only person who can actually cut hair the way you ask for it is the manager. The first time I went, I had to go back three times before the cut was right. It was noticeably uneven on the sides. I do not have have a complicated style. The second time, the girl didn’t cut the back the way I wanted it. When I went back, the girl who ‘fixed’(it wasn’t right, even after a second cut) it told me that I didn’t ask for the style correctly(even though I asked for it exactly the way the manager had instructed the first time). So, they cut my hair poorly and blamed me for it. You get what you pay for here. Go somewhere else. Anywhere. Cut your own hair — it’ll still come out better and be a nicer experience.

uhmm, I know you get what you pay for… but this place is not even that. If you need 15min worth of slightly shorter hair and won’t be psychically damaged by spending that time in a really unfriendly, unpleasant atmosphere — go to SuperCuts on Spring St. These poor autobots make it clear that they don’t like the customers, their jobs or eachother.

Eh, they’ll make your hair shorter. Everything else is a crap shoot. I’ve never seen the same stylist twice. Some are okay, some are pretty bad. The last two haven’t bothered to sweep up after the person before me, so I’ve had my hair cut sitting in other people’s hair, so I probably won’t be back.

im not picky about a haircut so ive always just gone to supercuts and never had a problem but never been wow’d either. today i went in on an impulse to add a pink steak to my long blonde hair. the girl i got was awesome(i forgot to ask her name though) she did everything she could to explain the process and had her manager double check a few things which really assured me. i was nervous that id hate it. i showed her a picture of a similar style and she gave me exactly what i wanted. i asked her halfway through if she could also blowdry and style my hair withour noticing the time but she said yes and i ended up being there a half an hour after close. they were so friendly and helpful i will definately be back, hopefully i can catch her name next time because ill recommend her to my friends :)

HORRIBLE… Do not bring your children here. They would fare better with the witch from Hanzel & Gretel! The woman scared my child half to dealth… she didn’t even ask her name & talked to her like a dog. She got bent out of shape because she had a few knots in her hair… duh. that’s you job! PLEASE bring your children to a place that treats kids like human beings. We will never, ever under any circmstances go there again!

Super Cuts West Roxbury is awful. I get a different hair stylist each time, which I understand is their business model. Each time the stylists, says«where did you go to get your hair cut the last time because they did an AWFUL job.» I tell them I came here, and then the stylist starts picking apart the hair cut and basically throwing her own colleagues under the bus. This has happened on several occasions. I have short hair and it shouldn’t be too difficult, but for some reason, the one before always did a bad job according to the current stylists. Doesn’t exactly breed a great deal of confidence. I have gone elsewhere, but it kills me to spend $ 60 for a hair cut!

Screw you Supercuts. Don’t answer your phone impatient with me. Don’t tell me that you have someone to do my hair at 9 when you open and then make me put my name on a list and make me sit for 15 minutes waiting. Guess what? I left. I don’t need a haircut that badly. and I don’t like you.

This was my first Supercuts and apparently it is where students in beauty school get to experiment on live subjects in the pursuit of their craft. The barbers are mainly women, a few have kids. When you walk in, you’ll notice that although there are 5 or so open seats and a few people waiting on the couches, there is only about 2 barbers there. When you get called, they don’t rush your cut, which is good. The quality is inconsistent though, and they miss a few spots and you can spot their mistakes when you get home. I mostly cut my own hair — the amount that barbershops charge for the simplest haircut is way too much. The place is clean with a powdery smell.

Most chain barbershops/salons should rate one or two stars — I’m sorry, but that’s just been my experience with them. Generally, if I’m in a hurry and have to visit one I end up getting my cut repaired a few days later by someone who knows what they’re doing. However… when it’s been late at night and I can’t find Larry to give me a quick chop I’ve usually found my way over to this Supercuts… and it’s always been a pleasant surprise. Example…the other night I went in nearly at closing. I was the only customer there but they easily could have given me a quick cut and sent me on my way. No. I was shown a generous amount of time, care and attention by people who are barely paid enough to offer those things. That isn’t the first time I’ve been impressed by the service at this location, so I’ll keep coming back. It’s not too different from a lot of other Supercuts… it’s loud, the interior is rather generic and there can sometimes be a wait later in the day or at lunch. However… the staff and the service they offer make this better than most of Supercuts other locations. Nice work.
