I recently purchased a P36e. According to their manual you place the up to 10′ away. How are you supposed to put something 10′ away when you only have 6’6″” of wire? Anyway called tech support NOHELP. If you can’t trust their writing should you trust their product?

I was doing my legwork on getting a new gas insert when I called Regency. I told the very kind woman who answered that I was getting rid of my three year old non functioning insert(not a Regency!) because, although it had all the bells a whistles of a high end product, no one close enough to make a house call knew how to fix it. Even the factory couldn’t help us! The woman explained that they were the wholesale distributors for Regency and could give me the names of their retail distributors. But before that, she would give me the names of a couple of repair people we might want to try to help us get the old one going. Talk about Macy’s and Gimble’s! I was floored that they were willing to give up a potential sale to help a person in distress! We ended up replacing the old unit with a beautiful new Regency insert-one that we know will be going strong for many years to come. We know this because the insert is simple to operate and repair, with much less to go wrong. And it looks much better than the old one, too.
