Four stars for the food — very good standard IHOP fare. Five stars for the wonderful wait staff. Four stars withdrawn due to the inexplicably careless and cavalier behavior of Scott, the«Manager»(according to his shirt) who walked back into the kitchen, leaving my husband’s debit card lying unattended on the counter in the entry area for several minutes, in full view of customers arriving and leaving, any one of whom could have picked it up and walked out with it! We finally had to go up to the counter to retrieve it and pay the bill.

My Marines and I decided to eat here for our Tuesday morning breakfast after a drill weekend. It was about 17 of us total. We arrived and was seated at approx. 7am and was promptly greeted and had our drink and food orders taken. The waitress was nice and methodic in taking our orders and the food came out fast and orders were spot on for everybody. I ordered the fajita omelet with fruit and it came out fresh and just right. All the other orders were received well also. All in all it was an excellent dining out experience.

This IHOP is close to my work so we decided to go there for lunch. We have been here many times before food is average. I mean it’s breakfast food and if you mess up eggs and toast wtf. There were people in the restaurant but it wasn’t busy. Waitress came over about 5 – 10 min after we sat down. we had plenty of time to look at the menu so ordered coffee and food at same time. She came back about 15min later with our food. My pancakes were cold and our order was not complete(one of our order was missing toast and bacon). Another 5min later she comes back and I tell her about the pancakes being cold and that we are missing the toast and bacon. Surprisingly she seems upset with us, takes our plates and tells us she will bring the check over and will only charge for one breakfast. I asked her if she will heat up my pancakes and she seems confused, so I again asked… am I still getting my food … She does heat up my pancakes and brings over a side of bacon, but tells us she is not charging us for it … Very bizarre… Needles to say that service was horrible, the waitress obviously unhappy with her job(and very bad at it) and we will not be going back… The waitress name starts with P and rhymes with cat …

Donna S is one of the most amazing waitresses that we have ever had. She was so helpful and friendly. She was great with our large group and we appreciated all that she did for us.

Their food is amazing and service is even better! I love this place! Out of the 100’s of times I’ve been here, I don’t think not once has my prefer come out wrong! The reason I give it 4 and not 5 starts is because the food does come out after a little while.

I was looking forward to this part of my trip so much! The speed of getting in, sitting down, eating and paying is so quick its unbelievable. The Banana Pudding pancakes were divine!

Food was good as always, but… The guy seating people(bald with a goatee) was obviously not happy to be there and pretty rude. Not to mention that when we sat down he took our silver ware and threw it down on the table. The waitress was attentive but spoke very quickly and obviously could care less about the customer. We usually eat at the IHOP on Boston Rd in Springfield and must say that they are much friendlier and customer oriented there.

Good place for breakfast. Not as crowded during weekdays though. Love the bottomless coffee and it’s always fresh. The pancakes are light and fluffy. I would recommend getting here early on a Saturday or Sunday. For a chain it’s consistent. The wait staff is always outgoing and quick with your order.

A good chain option for breakfast. Pancakes are very fluffy and good. Have never been disappointed in breakfast. Food is consistent. I visited on the holiday 1⁄19 to treat some friends. I had the Rooty Tooty. That menu item has changed. Now it’s just basically panicakes. In the past it was a full egg/pancake item. My friends had omelets. Everyone was satisfied with their omelets. However, one friend found a hair burried into her homefries. The waitress quickly wisked them away and a manager dropped by our table to apologize and remove the homefries from our check. We felt their apology was heartfelt and appropriate. I do have to say that I have visited for dinner and found the service to be half as friendly as the excellent am servers. Good average breakfast fast service. Friendly wait staff… Nothing overly exiting or new. I do enjoy going there with the my extended family since it’s one of the few places that accommodated 20+ people.

Whenever a chain restaurant exceeds expectations, I think it’s worthy of mention. And our expectations were profoundly low when we peeled off the highway after a grueling day fighting the sweaty crowds at the Big E up just the road. Our only mission was to find a quick, inexpensive meal that had not spent the weekend swimming in a Fryolater. My wife and I both ordered omelettes and found them very good. They really hit the spot. My Chicken Fajita Omellette was chock-full of fresh chopped vegetables, cheese and salsa — it delivered a big satisfying flavor. But the best part of our visit might have been the attentive service. Our waitress even apologized for serving the entrée without the buttered toast, admitting she dropped them on the floor as she came out of the kitchen. A new order of toast arrived soon after. Geez., the IHOP’s I know would have just dusted off the sand and straw wrappers and served them anyway. Thank you IHOP!

I just don’t know why this place is still open. First who needs eggs, toast, bacon and pancakes with every breakfast? No wonder as country we are so overweight!

This particular restaurant in this location is not good. I have eaten at others and for whatever reason this place is awful. The food is sometimes undercooked and overcooked. Service was so slow, but friendly. I have not been here in years and do not plan to come back to this one.

We had a great experience here. We have a one year old and so don’t go out to eat with him very often… barely ever. We figured IHop was a good place to risk eating out with him. Everyone was wonderful! The servers routinely stopped by our table to try and make our son laugh and were immensely pleasant. The food was great(our son loved the pancakes) and the prices were reasonable. Thanks IHop for allowing us to eat out again! We’ll be back!

I come here on a semi-regular basis for breakfast, and for the most part it’s a good experience. The food isn’t the best but it isn’t terrible for what you pay and the portions are quite fair. As a whole the servers are friendly especially Betty’Jayne and Cookie.

IHOP in West Side is a very mixed bag. On the weekend mornings, they’re terrific for a chain. The owner is a really nice cat, chats with customers. The waitstaff– particularly the ones from the previous location– are fantastic as well. The portions are very generous, and the food respectable. In the evenings and during the week, however? Ugh. I found the portions to be far smaller(my omelets, on a number of occasions, appear to be deflated, and the large pancakes turned into half-dollar pancakes mysteriously), and, unsurprisingly, the prices did not drop accordingly. If you want decent breakfast foods on the weekend mornings, go for it. If you want anything else? Look elsewhere.
