This is a place my family and I go to every Saturday for breakfast. Love the atmosphere. All the waitresses know my youngest by heart and love her. Their pancakes are my favorite.

Perkins is your standard americana flair restaurant serving the usual breakfast, lunch and dinner items, as well as a late-night menu. They are open 24 hours, so you can stop in for a bite any time and not be disappointed unless you are looking for something exotic. The food here is tasty enough, but they don’t have enough on the menu to accommodate special diets, I think. This is a favourite of my parents, and we go here nearly every week. I like most everything on the menu. One item I really wish to point out is their tomato-basil soup, which is a regular menu item. It is absolutely delicious, properly seasoned, nice tomato flavour. They also have a pretty good bakery section, especially their Mammoth Muffins which you get 3 free when you buy 3. I don’t think they would be a good place to go for gluten-free or vegan eaters, however. The push to give three stars here is really the service. We’ve had so many friendly servers over the years at this store, and the managers are very friendly. A couple of negatives: — The seats in the back section are really hard to sit on, they have no padding at all, and are smaller than the seats in the main sections. — The bathrooms are very small and do not accommodate a wheelchair really at all.

I want to get the strawberry pie, when I got in and see no longer have strawberry pie on the shelf. But I want to find out, whether they have it in the kitchen inventory or not. At that time, the manager was busy with his stuff and it takes for a minutes to realized I was standing behind the counter. When he start asking me what do I need, «do you have any strawberry pie? „“ sorry? », «do you any the strawberry pie», «no, we don’t «and then he don’t even look at me and only look at the customer who is waiting behind me. I even said ’ thank you’ but he don’t even bother about that. He is rude, and he can use a proper way to tell me example«I’m sorry, we no longer sell the strawberry pie, do you want to try other pies?» or something. I wouldn’t going back there again. He need to take 101 customer services class.

What a horrible place. It’s not like I expect a lot out of a Perkins, it is what it is. But this one, it sucks on a different level. I went in with my son and my mother on a Sunday afternoon, and first we get stuck in the far back and have to wait over 15 minutes just to get drinks ordered. When she arrived with drinks, she didn’t even ask if we wanted to order(we were all ready), instead she dropped them off and went to take another tables order. After dropping that order at the kitchen, we finally get her attention and could order(now 30 minutes after being seated). We wait for yet another half of an hour to get our meals(eggs and pancakes), and when our food is dropped off, the eggs are discolored and you can tell everything has been sitting for a while, because it is all cold. I would have told the waitress, but we didn’t see her again until it was time to drop the check off. I used to come to this Perkins on a weekly basis when I was in high school, now, I’ll never be back again. Horrible service and crappy food.

i have been to this perkins many times. the service is always good. the food seems to be the same no matter what perkins i go to. there breakfast does not taste like a home made breakfast. i i am not sure what it is about this place. from about open to 1pm its loaded with old folks and from 10pm to close its loaded with drunks.

We came here after a b-day party and ended up getting a trainee. poor girl we made her work for her money, not purposely – but just because we are picky, lol I ordered the trukey sandwich w/o bacon and sauce but mayo on the side, and it came out as i asked. Another person in our party orders eggs, waffles and something else, i forgot but all was good besides the waffles. they were actually really cold. Its like they cooked them first, then made his eggs and other item. He had to send it back and just asked for them to be reheated, and it came back out fine. The other persons food came out just fine. She did really good still and we were happy, and left her a pretty nice tip.

Most Perkins are about the same where ever I go. Stopped in for lunch with a work associate. They had the afternoon Twins game going on their smaller TVs-which I liked. The place was busy and had a decent amount of people in for lunch it seemed. We were greeted quickly and ordered our food with no problems. The waitstaff was attentive and courteous. The food was decent for what we paid. Restrooms were clean and there was plenty of parking available. Seems like a good place to get your lunch quickly and affordable. Check them out if you can deal with Perkins type of food and atmosphere. This one seems decent during lunch anyway.

I’ve been to this restaurant probably 1,000 times over a period of 12 years. It was a high school hangout for me and my friends, as well as a place where one could go to eat food 24⁄7. I’ve known waitresses, run into other regulars often as well as former high school classmates, seen fights get broken up, watched as they renovated and updated their menu, lost count of how many different cops were paid to provide security near the entrance, etc. So I should be able to give you a detailed, insiders’ review. However, I won’t, so here’s a generic review: Perkins serves typical Americana food at low prices; this is a restaurant with pictures of food on the menu. Oftentimes the food looks much better in the picture than it does sitting right in front of you. Most of the food available is merely satisfactory, nothing great, nothing too terrible. Some of it will come back to haunt if you stop by after a night of drinking. Perkins isn’t all bad, the waitresses can be friendly, the prices are decent(you get what you pay for, however), and the pies can be good; just stay away from the chocolate chipper. Perkins fooled me too many times in my youth with that dessert. Every time I ordered, and I did so an embarrassingly high amount of times, it the cookie would be rock hard and the ice cream would have freezer burn. I learned my lesson and I haven’t ordered it for over 8 years, besides other restaurants do the chocolate chip cookie with ice cream much better, but I digress. While I no longer go to this Perkins with any regularity I do find myself there on occasion with friends. It is open 24 hours a day, one of the three places that is, and we can never decide on whether Denny’s* is a poor man’s Perkins or vice-versa. Can you? *Denny’s being one of the other two places open 24⁄7.
