Pizza Palace

I use to live right down the street while in college and the pizza was not only delicious but affordable. Being a single mother of 2 at the time, it was right up my alley. Amazing, I still dream of the taco pizza! There’s nothing like it

Simply, the best pizza in West Union and the best I have encountered in Northeast Iowa. The sauce is just about the right flavor, not too strong and not too bland. Toppings are plentiful and a pretty solid range, including the Iowa unique sauerkraut. Crust types include thing and «deep dish», which is really a pan or thick crust. Their chicken wings are pre-​made and you can do almost as good from the grocery store but when in Northeast Iowa…
The place has a couple of arcade games which made me smile. Drink options are Pepsi products, beer (on tap and bottle), and wine coolers. People are really friendly to boot, super kind waitresses.
One other point, and this may be an odd one but I noticed. The décor looks straight out of the 1980s and it did open in 1988 so it is appropriate. This might be a detraction for some but it endears the place to me.

The BEST taco pizza I have ever had! I always have to get this when I’m home for a visit. I really like their breadsticks too. I always get both pizza sauce and garlic butter for dipping. They have both thin and thick crust. My parents like the thin and I like the thick.
