I love their fry sauce! & their Oreo shake. The fat boy was good, but not big enough for my hubby. They are a good size for me, I can’t finish it. The fries are good, I like it, I just don’t love it. Will definitely recommend to others, and will visit again, but not regularly. Definitely try if you’re in the area and like fries and shakes.

Have loved this place for years. Fat boys are delicious, great hot fudge shakes. Wish I still lived nearby.

I know they have good food, a unique fry sauce, and awesome shakes but I was disappointed on the corn dogs. I thought for sure they’d make good crispy ones but they weren’t :-(

The management is always terrible, the supervisor is constantly yelling at their employees and it just makes sitting in the lobby awkward. All the teenagers are new everyday and none of them seem to kniw what they are doing. It’s like a child circus that serves terrible food. If you have any respect for customer service, tell them to get out of that job before it’s too late.

I have tried this place twice. The hamburgers were awful and our shakes were more like a soupy mixture. The customer service consists of teenagers who have horrible communication skills.

Went through the drive-up and waited longer for the quality of food they advertised. Ordered a Fatboy combo with no onions and a chicken sandwich combo. Paid $.70 extra for 2 fry sauces on top of the already premium prices you pat for the food. Drove home which is 5 minutes away and fries were soggy and cold. We also didn’t get the fry sauce we had paid for. To make everything worse the Fatboy had huge chunks of onion. This is the 2nd time recently that we have had a negative experience. Abs used to be a great place to eat but their quality in service and food has diminished. We will not be going back.

It’s 3 stars because of the saturday specials. I dislike the fry sauce charge however I enjoy a FatBoy combo once in awhile however the prices are a little steep for the portions. The service is also nice, very friendly, the milkshakes need work because the pumpkin shake was not that great. Overall, I have good memories of eating here with my family.

Chili dog was cool. Charging for fry sauce? Not cool. 3 stars Ab’s!

This place has gone down hill. The fat boy seems to have shrunk and the window girl spilled my drink on me without an apology. Crown burger next time

I am a super picky eater and don’t like fries… However, they have the best fries and even better fry sauce! Love it!

I love Ab’s. My family has been going to Ab’s for years. Their shakes are amazing and I love their french fries. Enjoy!

The original drive inn restaurant was located nearby on 3500 S and was only open on weekends or some days after school when the family kids could run the place. The Fat Boy sandwich without ketchup/relish sauce mixture is pretty decent and the fries have always been served hot but the sandwich is over-priced. The fact that they charge for fry sauce is odd, extra maybe but it should be part of the base price of fries or onion rings.

Not sure how this place stays in business with overpriced, small portioned, below average food. They call themselves the home of the fat boy, what??? The«fatboy» is a tasteless skimpy burger for which they charge you way too much. Maybe it is like calling a bald guy curly?

I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, fries, and a lemonade. Very thin patty. There was little evidence of any beef flavor or texture. Bun was soft and airy. I asked for ‘everything’ on my burger and got some flat lettuce and tomato. No onion, no pickle. I can’t evaluate the bacon because I couldn’t taste any. Visual inspection revealed that there was, indeed, bacon on the burger, but it’s quantity and thickness were woefully inadequate. I found this burger to be reminiscent of a McDonald’s cheeseburger. You know, the standard lame one in a Happy Meal? Yeah, that one. I know there is something called a Fat Burger that is apparently two patties. I’m assuming that is a better choice. The fresh cut fries were too soft and had no seasoning or salt. And I had to pay extra for fry sauce. I saw the awards on the wall, and I am aware that Ab’s has been around for years, apparently with a loyal following. But as for my list of good burger joints, Ab’s Drive-In isn’t even on the radar.

Great food, but extremely overpriced. 2 children and 1 adult was over $ 20. Shouldn’t be this much for a drive thru.

I’ve been to Ab’s several times and have never been all that impressed. It’s not bad, but it’s just not on par with the other gourmet burger joints that have invaded Utah over the past few years. The quality, taste, service, portions, etc. are not worth the high prices here. They charge $ 0.35 for fry sauce. That’s just Un-American… or at least Un-Utahan. The Fat Boy burger is my favorite thing here. The fries are just okay. If I’m in the neighborhood, I might stop in every now and then(since there’s not much else out here), but I’ll probably drive up the street a mile or two to find something better.

Not bad overall as far as food quality goes. The wait is always long and food prices have raised every time I’ve gone my past 5 visits. No combo options if you just want a cheeseburger or hamburger.

The burger was pretty good. But this place will never rise past the level of «okay» if it can’t get its act together with the fries. You see, I’m as big a fan of fresh-cut fries as the next guy, but if you’re gonna do them, please blanch them first. You don’t do that with fresh cut potatoes, and you end up with what you get here: a bunch of fries that lack crispness — think limp. Decent bang for your buck though, if you skip the drink and go with water.

Shake your love! Shake-shake-shake your love! I was singing that tune after trying the chocolate banana shake at Ab’s — this is my go-to flavor anywhere I go — and they pull off the fast food shake with panache. I tried the shake at their sister sandwich shop(Riley’s in West Jordan) and feared it may be more of the same. Where the Riley’s shake fell short in not having enough chocolate syrup, the Ab’s came through with flying colors. It may depend largely on who’s running the machine that day, but whatever high school kid mixed mine tonight should definitely get college credit. Young player, may your acne be only temporary and your voice finish changing soon. This is a fast food shake. Smooth, a little bit melty, and a few little chunks of fresh banana throughout. You’ll still need a spoon, but it’s not that grainy stuff you get at corpo chains. Sometimes I’m in the mood for ice cream presented in shake form, and this is not the place for cement-like treats. There’s a simple menu of savories here too. Burgers, chicken sandwiches, fries, hot dogs, and fish filet sandwiches. Saturdays are bargain days when hamburgers are $.99 and corn dogs just $.59. I’m also a thirsty fan of places like Ab’s where you can add a shot of flavor to your drinks. Here you can choose from fresh lime, cherry, grape, or vanilla starting at $.30. This location is a ways out there on 5600 W, but it’s a nice little shop worth the stop if you’re nearby.
