Great food, awesome fries. Order online though or walk in on weekends though, I called 3 times on a Sunday(had a coupon and it expired then) several minutes and then hours apart and got no answer. Coupon says not valid on online orders, too. Kind of miffed but still good burgers.

They stopped taking American Express with 2,000 American Express employees down the road from them. Can’t use my Amex card means I won’t ever be going to Smash Burger again.

I’m new in town for the summer and I’ve been craving a burger. I stopped in Smash Burger and well I’m glad I did. This burger is delicious and the staff are really nice!

Pros: good clean atmosphere, kid friendly, moderately priced burger super crispy shoestring fries, Cons: taste like aĺ the other burgers ive had. Has more of a backyard bbq deal thing, first walked in the place smells like frying oil, dirty tables EVERYWHEREEEE Aĺ In all good experience, had a new cashier, asked her bout the menu she knew nothing; manager had to step in and help out but she was super friendly and super apologetic Try the red hot fries with ranch… has a gòod kick but not bad enough that lights your mouth on fire

I love smash burger in my home town, but this one was no Bueno. Walked in and smelled like burning grease. The booths were torn and worn out. The bathrooms did not have a changing table so had to go to the car to change my little one. On my husbands chicken sandwich the tomato slice was thicker than the chicken. 1/8″ thick at most. The paper thin chicken is not for us. They also got rid of the nutterbutter shake so I settled for chocolate. The entire experience was sub par.

I love salt. I always salt everything after I get it. Today was not the case. Every bite was like licking a salt brick. It was difficult to taste the burger. My bill was $ 24 plus for my wife and myself. Besides being loaded with salt, I had the bacon cheeseburger. The cheese was oft to one side so at least a third of the burger had no cheese. The bacon followed the cheese, I did reposition the bacon. I will not eat there again.

We were in the mood for a burger and it was late and most places in the area were closing soon. We decided on Smash Burger since neither of us had ever tried it. When I’m trying a new burger place I usually go for a normal burger to even the playing field on which to decide the quality of their burger. So that means its usually just a regular cheeseburger but this time I chose a bacon cheeseburger. I got the Smash Fries to go with it. When I first got my burger I noticed it was was a ¼″ layer of mustard and ketchup so I scraped most of it off. Next I tried the fries which I personally didn’t like. Then I tried the burger and was further disappointed. It was very basic. Nothing different from say something like a cheeseburger from Wendy’s except the price. With the name«Smash» I felt it would be a burger that I would smash but it was the opposite. Would I return? Nah. There are way better burger places than this.

Service sucked. Half ate my burger before I got my shake. Shake had 3 inches of whipped cream.

Having moved from Vancouver Washington my wife and I have enjoyed many burgers throughout the Pacific Northwest. This is about on par with most fast food and the burgers are nothing spectacular. The patties have little flavor, while that does allow for more of a balanced flavor it also makes this place taste the same as Wendy’s. In comparison, Killer Burger in Vancouver and Portland Oregon have some of the tastiest burgers I have ever consumed. The difference is the mixture of the meat and the all natural cheese, which every burger comes loaded with cheese and bacon. At this location, I had the olive oil rubbed fries and they are different than most fries. The fries are shoestring which allows for a good crunch, however they cool down too fast. Positives: The staff were friendly and helpful and even offered to turn down the air conditioning as it was a bit chilly inside when we came. The food was personally delivered to our table hot and fresh.

I’m smitten with the Truffle Mushroom Swiss burger and Smashfries! The portion is perfect, and it’s always put together very well. The fries are always nicely crisped and seasoned to perfection. As far as décor, this is your typical casual eating establishment. The booths are a little worn out, but the place is kept clean. Prices are fair, and they serve beer!

I fell in love with Smashburger at first bite. However, THIS location has been awful both times I’ve been here. It shouldn’t be allowed to call itself Smashburger. The burger itself was cold and dry and completely without flavor, which is in direct contrast with my experience at other locations. If I wanted a run of the mill crappy burger I would’ve gone somewhere with a drive thru and paid half as much for it! Oh, and they also got my order wrong. I ordered the spinach, cucumber, and goat cheese but instead got bleu cheese and buffalo sauce but also with the spinach and cucumber. It’s like they mixed together 2 different burgers that had no business being under the same bun. It was horrendous.

Lots of great burger choices. The food came out hot & fresh. Not many beer choices, but hey it’s Utah! Great for a quick meal.

Pretty sad. The food was overpriced for what you got comparing to chains such as five guys where you get a lot more bang for the buck. The one redeemer was the chocolate shake which was top notch but paying 14 dollars for a meal the size of an appetizer I feel like is not worth it.

Gross. Dirty. Overpriced burgers. Even the rosemary fries that tried to save the visit were cold. Don’t bother.

After a disappointing experience our first time at Smashburger we avoided it for a few years. Finally we decided to go back and thankfully the food was considerably better. I enjoyed a bacon cheeseburger and my wife had the Spicy Jalapeño Baja burger. I still don’t like their french fries, but the burgers were pretty good. The bacon on my burger was overly chewy and fatty, but the burger was well-prepared otherwise and tasted good. If you’re counting your calories, AVOID Smashburger. A typical burger is around 800 calories or more and that doesn’t include any fries, shakes or drinks you may have. Not for the health conscious to be sure. Smashburger is also a little spendy in my opinion. Overall our second experience at this location was a lot better than the first, but I’m still not entirely sold on Smashburger.

We walked into Smashburger for the first time ever today. We went up to the counter to order. The order taker asked if we would be eating in or getting our order to go. We said, «To go.» She took or order, we paid and then she walked back to the cooks at the window and handed them the slip. She said very loudly for everyone to hear, «This order is to go, sorry about that. Ya, I know how you feel about to go orders. Sorry.» My husband and I just looked at each other. So getting an order to go order is somehow a pain in the ass for the cooks at Smashburger. Ummm… sorry for asking you to do the job you are being paid to do. And how dumb is this girl to be so apologetic to the cooks for giving them our order in front of us?! So I will have to say the service stinks at this particular franchise. Now onto the food… We got the bacon cheeseburger, smash fries, a peanut butter and jelly shake, and a Nutterbutter Shake. The burger was blah. Covered, and I mean dripping in mustard. I like mustard. I do. This was over the top soaked in it. Now assuming that this is just a cooks mistake, I will try to critique the burger as if it wasn’t oozing mustard everywhere. It was blah. One can make a much better burger at home or just go to about any other burger joint and get a better one. Hardly any bacon, super greasy, and just… well…blah. I will say that I did enjoy the bun it was on but not enough to justify the purchase of the blah burger. I liked the fries… a lot. They are skinny and crispy. I would rather they didn’t put the rosemary on them. They would be delicious without it. The fry sauce was not very good. The shakes were tasty. This place was just not worth it. I can’t see us going back there again. I feel as though McDonalds has a higher quality burger even. I wish we had just gone there instead.

In my hunt a long while ago for the best burger in town(RIP Acme), I ran across this one. Despite a lot of hype, what I wound up with was some one very overpriced burger, which wasn’t bad, but wasn’t to the level of 5 Guys in quality(but was over it in price) and despite more than a passing reference to Fuddrucker’s, is nowhere near those, either. The fries were the oily shoestring type(I think these were their signature fries) which were crispy, but also left a very unwelcome sheen on my fingers and weren’t particularly tasty. It probably reinforces the point that what I was so largely forgettable that were it not for one of the Unilocal ads, I probably would have kept right on forgetting that I went there and forgetting to do this review. Fun name, but expensive and overrated burger.

While working in West Valley, I became addicted to Smashburger. This was a great lunch location with decent prices and fast service. The burgers are delicious and the chicken sandwiches were surprisingly juicy and deliciously flavored. My only complaint is that they slice the avocado into cubes which is impossible to keep on top of a burger and under the bun. The fries are shoestring fries. I personally like fatter fries but they are good. The fry portions are big enough to share with others. I’ve heard that the shakes are good from coworkers but I tried to limit my calories at lunch after a burger and fries so I never tried one.

I’ve heard the hype, and I can say I’ve tried it. I had a Beehive grilled chicken sandwich, and haystack onion straws. The sandwich was just ok, the sauce was nothing special. The onion straw side order has potential, but they were undercooked and very soggy. I have been, and never to return again. Not a fan of the hype.

Meh. A solid Meh. It was a cheeseburger with a slice of cheese and some bacon strips you could see through. Not exactly sure what the charm is of the Smashburger and to me it is akin to the other burger joints that over-promise and under-deliver.(For full disclosure, I am one of the seven Utahns NOT in love with In and Out Burger.) I also ordered the Onion strings and thought I had dumped half of them out in the bag. Turns out they just don’t give you a lot of them with the order. They were salty, fried, goodness but not in plentiful supply. Next time I think I’ll just skip the Smash.
